The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1362: Chapter 528: Astronomical Bill (Part 2)

...But this soup was actually pretty good, making Zhou Wang take a few more sips.

”Mr. Zhou, next we present to you the second dish, which you might have had elsewhere... a classic among traditional abalone dishes, the Soft-Centered Abalone!”

Individual plates were brought before each of them, and the chef, Mr. Guo, began talking at length.

”The dried abalone is soaked for several days, then simmered with old chicken and premium ham until the center becomes soft and gooey, offering a texture as tender as honey. It’s called ’the gold among abalones’...”

Zhou Wang, hearing this, became disinterested... undoubtedly, this was a sweet dish.

After all, abalone was nothing new to him, but since it was about tasting local flavors, Zhou Wang still picked up his knife and fork to give it a try.

A moment later, Zhou Wang was somewhat pleasantly surprised. Perhaps it was the contrast with the fish fin dish, as this abalone turned out to taste quite good, tender, sweetly aromatic, with a hint of caramel scent...

Zhou Wang suspected that the chef might have done it on purpose— serving the least tasty dish first, as after the Soft-Centered Abalone, the flavor of each subsequent dish seemed to leap dramatically.

Charcoal Grilled Sea Whelk, Steamed Star Grouper, Stuffed Crab Claws with Hundred Flowers, Honey-glazed Barbecue Pork, Crispy Bird’s Nest Egg Tart... even the simplest ”Boiled Cabbage” was delicious to Zhou Wang.

Although every dish was just a delicately prepared single serving, very small in quantity, by the time the final dish, ”Dragon Soaring Four Seas,” a two-way Australian lobster, was served with an exceptionally exquisite presentation, Zhou Wang was somewhat full.

To his mixed feelings of amusement and helplessness, Su Yajing and the others, who had spent ten minutes taking photos first, could eat more than him instead.

Whether it was the earlier ”Heaven Nine Fin” or the last Australian Lobster, the four girls almost finished everything, with hardly any waste.

But then again, the appetite of girls is always a mystery, so Zhou Wang didn’t delve too much into it.

Once they all contentedly put down their knives and forks, Zhou Wang signaled Charles, who had been waiting nearby, to clear the plates.

While the waiters were busy, Charles first handed a bill to Zhou Wang for signature.

Sitting on Zhou Wang’s right side, Cui Min’er glanced at the numbers at the bottom of the bill and almost couldn’t hold back from exclaiming aloud.

Skeptical about whether she had seen it wrong, Cui Min’er pretended to reach for a napkin and took another closer look, her eyes increasingly filled with undisguisable shock.

Are we eating seafood or gold, how can it be so exaggerated...

Noticing Cui Min’er’s strange behavior, Su Yajing followed her gaze, then playfully snatched the bill from Zhou Wang’s hand.

”Brother, what’s with Min’er’s expression, we couldn’t have eaten a whole house... right...”

Seeing the bill, Su Yajing’s voice slowly faded, her mouth forming an ”O” shape.

At this point, Yu Duo and Shen Yutong also couldn’t hold back, huddling over in turn, exclaiming one after the other.

”Good heavens!”

”How could it be so expensive... this, this is too outrageous!”

...

Thick Soup Heaven Nine Fin, 8,888 RMB each, a total of 5.

Ji Pin Soft-Centered Abalone, 26,888 RMB each, a total of 5.

Wild Steamed Star Grouper, 2,888 RMB each, a total of 5...

Charcoal Grilled Sea Whelk with Aged Huadiao, 6,888 RMB each, a total of 5...

Crab Claws, Barbecue Pork, Bird’s Nest Egg Tart, Australian Lobster, plus a 10% service charge...

After a 90% VIP discount, the total came to 318,836.70 RMB.

...

Over 300,000.

Yes, Su Yajing realized she had been too naive.

In a small county, wouldn’t this be like a whole house?

”Since Mr. Zhou requested the most authentic Cantonese cuisine, we used quite premium ingredients. For instance, this Ji Pin Abalone is imported from Japan, and even with our dedicated procurement channels, the cost of each abalone is nearly 20,000, not to mention the cooking process and so on...”

Seeing the disbelief in the girls’ expressions, Charles quickly explained cautiously.

Zhou Wang was the only one whose expression remained the calmest, as he knew that if the ingredients used were truly as stated, then though the price sounded outrageous, the hotel actually wasn’t overcharging him.

After all, there was still President Mu’s connection...

Although somewhat mentally prepared, Zhou Wang also didn’t expect it could be this expensive.

Five people costing over 300,000, even with a discount—the kind of number you wouldn’t believe if it wasn’t you saying it.

Now Zhou Wang understood how those ”sky-high bills” on the internet came to be.

Shaking his head with a smile, Zhou Wang gestured for Charles to stop explaining and coolly signed the bill.

He always believed that desires of the palate are the easiest to satisfy: without the means, eat until full; with the means, eat well then eat till full; no need to dwell on it too much.

After Charles led the restaurant staff away, the group of girls simultaneously looked at Zhou Wang.

”What are you all looking at me for?”

”Brother, wasn’t it too extravagant...”

”Ah, you’re mistaken there.”

Zhou Wang chuckled, ”You were the one hosting, I’ll be deducting this from your allowance later, so it’s not my splurge, but yours.”

”Ah, brother, how can you be like this~ no, no, you can’t deduct from my allowance...”

Su Yajing, dissatisfied, clung to Zhou Wang’s arm, acting spoiled, but she also clearly knew that this was just an excuse Zhou Wang used... After all, wasn’t the amount of her allowance something Zhou Wang himself could decide?

After fooling around with Su Yajing, Zhou Wang checked the time and found it was nearly eleven o’clock. He raised his head and asked:

”It’s getting late, do you want to each head back to your rooms to rest or...”

The girls looked at one another, and for a moment, no one spoke.

When Zhou Wang was puzzled, Su Yajing hesitantly said: ”How about... how about we just rest?”

”Uh, well, that sounds fine too, after all, it is quite tiring...”

Feeling inexplicably guilty, Yu Duo softly chimed in agreement.

”Then I’ll go take a bath first...”

Shen Yutong, after sneaking a look at Zhou Wang, got up first and left with Yu Duo.

Cui Min’er smoothed her hair, following closely behind.

”Brother, I’ll be waiting for you in my room first, I’ve missed you, so hurry up... come in~”

Seeing Zhou Wang still holding a cigarette, with no intention of getting up, Su Yajing whispered softly in his ear.

Zhou Wang felt a thrill, momentarily unable to discern exactly where Su Yajing was inviting him to ”come in.”

This little vixen...

After Su Yajing left, Zhou Wang first took out his phone, routinely handling some business, and also replied to his senior sister’s various check-in messages... Mentioning Jiang Mo, Zhou Wang paused slightly.

His senior sister’s debut solo concert had been postponed for some reason, but Zhou Wang didn’t have time to tend to it at the moment.

About half an hour later, once all trifles were taken care of, Zhou Wang got up and headed toward the master bedroom.

Only when leaving the dining area did Zhou Wang suddenly pause.

Hmm, he was sure that the signed bill was just placed on the table earlier, so where did it go?

However, Zhou Wang didn’t care much about it. After a glance, he turned and left.

...

The dark red silk shimmered like wine; beneath the gauzy veil, snow-white skin was faintly visible, with the ribbon at the neck seemingly ready to unfold like petals with a gentle tug. Beneath the short skirt, gleaming legs were layered together, still wet, revealing an indescribable texture of temptation.

In a classical Chinese hollow-out camisole design, adorning the girl’s tender body, the striking contrast of red and white made Zhou Wang involuntarily swallow.

Unfortunately... the girl before him was asleep.

Zhou Wang sat by the bed, gently stroking Su Yajing’s silky hair.

Evidently, she had bathed and dressed herself carefully, but fell asleep before Zhou Wang came in.

Frowning in her sleep, murmuring unknown words, there was a trace of fatigue etched in her features.

Zhou Wang’s breaths were heavy, yet he was reluctant to wake her... he knew Su Yajing had been working hard recently, with her training making her rise early and rest late every day; today, she had also gotten up early to come from Beidou.

After contemplating a while, Zhou Wang finally shook his head, deciding to let her rest lightly for now.

As for Zhou Wang, he felt not the least bit sleepy. After wandering about the room for a while, he suddenly recalled the infinity pool upstairs.

”It’s true, I haven’t swum in quite a while...”

With that thought, Zhou Wang immediately asked the attendant to bring him a pair of swimming trunks and, wrapping himself in a towel, headed toward the living room alone.

But climbing the spiral staircase, Zhou Wang suddenly paused.

It seemed he heard some movements vaguely coming from beyond the wooden door...
