The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1394: Chapter 542: My Lips Are Sealed (2)

”I just want to rest for a while now, really not in the mood for any physical activities, do you understand?”

Originally, Zhou Wang didn’t have to be polite to her, but perhaps because this girl’s demeanor indeed resembles that of a senior, Zhou Wang still opted for a somewhat tactful approach.

Lisa blinked, seemingly trying hard to understand the meaning of Zhou Wang’s words. After a moment, she seemed to have grasped something.

”I got it, Mr. Zhou, you just lie down like this...”

Saying this, Lisa twisted her slender and graceful body, slipping into the depths of the quilt.

Zhou Wang: ”...”

He hurriedly stopped her, ”You’re mistaken, I didn’t mean that.”

”Mr. Zhou, rest assured, I... I’ll keep quiet.”

”Really? Ugh, I mean, I just want to sleep for a while now, not do anything else.”

”Oh... then I won’t disturb your rest.”

Lisa made a sound in response, her expression dimmed, and with that, she got up to lift the quilt and get out of bed.

Zhou Wang watched her desolate back, and couldn’t help but shake his head, then pulled her snow-white arm back into his embrace amidst Lisa’s startled cry.

”Don’t move, just stay like this and accompany me while I sleep.”

”Ah... okay, alright.”

Lisa responded with a sound, sensing that Zhou Wang didn’t make any other moves, he really just held her soft body and slowly closed his eyes.

But she wasn’t foolish and quickly realized Zhou Wang was doing this just to have something to report to President Mu.

The feelings in Lisa’s heart grew increasingly complex, originally trembling slightly due to nervousness, her delicate body gradually calmed down.

”Thank you...”

She rested her head against Zhou Wang’s chin, silently said in her heart.

...

”Isn’t this yacht too luxurious?”

Initially, when hearing Ah Gui and Ah Jie talk about a yacht party, Sun Xining didn’t have many thoughts.

She merely hadn’t gone out to play for quite some time, so she thought it would be nice to go out, feel the sea breeze, and unwind.

But she truly didn’t expect the difference between the yacht docked at this private pier and the ones seen in movies to be so vast.

Standing at the bow of the ship, one almost couldn’t see the stern. Not only were there butlers in suits waiting on the pier, but above the gangway, a row of young female staff in light and elegant dresses with dignified manner greeted them. Near the deck’s edge of the railings, security personnel in suits could be seen patrolling.

Their demeanor was quite solemn, especially a burly middle-aged man standing at the bow, his eyes raking over them like a hawk, seemingly wanting to pierce through their souls.

The formality left Sun Xining somewhat at a loss.

It wasn’t just her; Ah Gui also felt the same way.

Ah Jie’s family background was undoubtedly much better than his own, but according to Ah Gui’s impression, it seemed unlikely they would be connected with such a luxurious yacht.

”Ah Jie, what’s... what’s happening here, did we arrive at the wrong pier?”

Swallowing a bit of saliva, feeling a bit nervous unintentionally, Ah Gui tugged at Ah Jie’s sleeve next to him.

Ah Jie was actually feeling a bit unsure at the moment.

His distant cousin was from Hong Kong Island, moved there when he was young, and though their parents had some familial connection, it wasn’t much.

Later, because his parents were business-savvy, they initiated cooperation in business with that side, their connection grew closer, and Ah Jie met this cousin a few times.

Previously, when the cousin came to Peng City, Ah Jie always hosted him in various ways. Recently, it was rare for the cousin to contact him, saying there’s a yacht party in Peng City, inviting him along, and Ah Jie readily agreed.

There was only one strange point, where the cousin gently hinted that he could bring a female companion, but given the high level of this party, if he were to bring friends, it’s best they have a clean background...

Ah Jie understood immediately, this meant not to bring ”chicks,” wasn’t it?

In a place like Peng City, though pretty girls are plenty, it’s also easy to walk into pitfalls. Many girls who seem glamorous and brilliant outside might just be working somewhere...

There are countless women in peripheral and private settings, and Ah Jie, having played outside often, could grasp his cousin’s meaning.

So that’s why he unabashedly nudged Ah Gui to ask Sun Xining out, after all, in his view, Sun Xining fit such criteria perfectly.

Though, he also felt the cousin’s words had other meanings, but he didn’t think much of it. Anyway, the cousin mentioned friends could be brought, so he invited Ah Gui along.

Mainly because as a local minor rich second-generation, most people wouldn’t try to cling to him, only Ah Gui, a friend who grew up playing with him, would always follow his orders, so he thought it would be convenient to have Ah Gui along.

”It should be right here, wait a moment, I’ll call my cousin...”

Ah Jie took out his phone to make a call, and after a short while, a young man in a casual shirt emerged from the deck, upon spotting the three below, he immediately waved to them.

”Cousin!”

Seeing it was indeed his cousin, Ah Jie finally breathed a sigh of relief, straightened his back once more, and led Ah Gui and Sun Xining forward.

With the cousin’s appearance, the butler merely verified the identity of the three briefly, allowing them to board the deck.

”This is my cousin, Wang Jia.”

After joining his cousin, Ah Jie first made a brief introduction to one another.

Ah Jie’s cousin, Wang Jia, wore a Versace casual shirt and glasses with gold rims—his demeanor suggested a good family background, though his gaze seemed a bit hollow, making one feel slightly uneasy.

Upon seeing Ah Gui behind Ah Jie, Wang Jia initially furrowed his brows, but as his gaze moved to Sun Xining, Wang Jia’s brows instantly relaxed.

With his experienced eye for women, even though the girl before him was not of the rare kind, she was at least of excellent caliber.

Moreover, he could tell at a glance that although this girl appeared quite naive in her looks, her makeup and attire had many meticulous details that showed she wasn’t a girl unaware of worldly ways.

This meant that ”communication” wouldn’t be too troublesome.

After a brief observation, Wang Jia quickly diverted his gaze, warmly slinging his arm over Ah Jie’s shoulder as they walked inside.

”Cousin, let me tell you, today’s occasion isn’t quite ordinary, there are some people even I don’t know well, so you’ll need to be sharp later on...”

”Don’t worry, cousin, I understand, I promise not to embarrass you.”

After laying the groundwork with these words, seeing Ah Jie nod in agreement, Wang Jia then lightly coughed and spoke quietly:

”Bro, let me ask you first, with this girl named Sun Xining, there’s nothing between you two, right?”

”Uh, we’re just ordinary friends for now, but...”

Wang Jia cut him off before Ah Jie could complete his thought.

”Then that’s fine, look, later I’ll introduce you to someone. Haven’t you been saying you wanted to invest in my water park? Let me tell you, as long as this works out, we’ll sign the agreement next week!”

”Really?”

Sudden joy flooded over Ah Jie, temporarily pushing aside the confusion he felt earlier.

Every scion craves proving themselves, Ah Jie was no exception, yet he genuinely lacked good opportunities; thus, he had to rely on the resources of others to find a path. However, people like Wang Jia didn’t need the small amount of money Ah Jie could offer, leaving him quite troubled.

Seeing this matter now with a glimmer of hope, naturally, Ah Jie was overjoyed.

The group entered the spacious living room on the deck, over 600 square meters in size, already filled with many guests. They gathered in groups of three or five, with an age range from twenty to fifty. Among the young people present, most were grandly dressed women.

”Ah Jie, do you see the man wearing the dark suit over there?”

Wang Jia held him, discreetly pointing towards a man seated at the best booth in the hall, chatting and laughing.

”Yes, who’s he?”

”Huo Chengrui.”

Wang Jia spat out three words, seeing the three people around him wearing blank expressions.

The corner of his mouth twitched a little, couldn’t help raising his voice slightly:

”Huo, his last name is Huo... really, do you not know what this signifies?”

Seeing the three still bewildered, Wang Jia couldn’t be bothered to explain.

”Check it on your phones later... for now, follow me.”
