The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1387: Chapter 539: Freely Given

While Zhou Wang was thinking, a glass of soda water with ice was suddenly handed to him from the side.

After a Western meal, this kind of refreshing drink is the best palate cleanser. Zhou Wang politely took it and thanked the mixed-race girl sitting on the side.

As Zhou Wang was drinking the water, Lisa moved behind him, and a warm sensation came from both sides of his forehead. Lisa seemed to notice he was pondering some problem and decided to help relieve his mental stress in a physical way.

Such considerate actions only made Zhou Wang secretly sigh.

Even if it is a learned tact, what man can resist such a gentle trap?

The key is that truly accomplished men are extremely confident. Even if they see through a woman’s little tricks, they won’t expose them, but will just enjoy it, thinking... they don’t believe they will truly become prey.

Zhou Wang was the same, so when he noticed Lisa’s intentional guidance, he didn’t pretend and just leaned back accordingly.

The fabric was very soft and light, just enough to let the back of Zhou Wang’s head fit in seamlessly.

It should be around a C cup, not very exaggerated, but both the curvature and texture were perfect.

Zhou Wang’s thoughts were unconsciously led astray until Mu Li’s voice on the phone suddenly rose:

”Mr. Li, isn’t this request a bit too much... Sorry, maybe my emotions were a bit intense, I apologize to you... that’s not what I meant, I just want to sincerely ask you to reconsider... After all, Mr. Chen hasn’t completely retired yet, right... Okay, I will contact you again.”

Zhou Wang looked in Mu Li’s direction with some surprise. Although they hadn’t known each other long, Zhou Wang could easily sense that this President Mu surely had a strong ability for emotional control.

When she was answering the phone just now, she was mostly gentle and mild-mannered. This was the first time Zhou Wang saw her losing emotional control.

However, Zhou Wang didn’t delve into it much, because at this moment, he was merely an observer.

After a few more minutes, Mu Li, having finally handled all the accumulated affairs, walked over to the sofa with her champagne.

Zhou Wang opened his eyes and sat up straight. Receiving a signal from Mu Li’s gaze, Lisa tidied her clothes slightly and obediently walked outside, leaving the space to the two of them.

As for Gao Xing, he still stood in the corner. However, Mu Li didn’t intend for Gao Xing to avoid them, and after sitting down, she spoke seriously:

”Mr. Zhou, I know your time is precious, and after today, I don’t know when we’ll meet again, so I have a straightforward proposal that I’d like you to hear.”

This was the first time Mu Li had used an honorific after meeting Zhou Wang. Not only was it a sign of respect, it also clearly indicated that what she was about to say was actually a request...

Zhou Wang remained calm and just smiled, ”President Mu, there’s no need for such formality. Let’s continue calling each other normally; your sudden change makes me feel too pressured.”

Mu Li smiled and moved a bit closer to Zhou Wang, ”If Mr. Zhou says so, then I won’t stand on ceremony.”

”Since President Mu said to be ’straightforward,’ then why not be direct.”

Zhou Wang made a gesture inviting her to proceed.

”I would like Mr. Zhou to seriously consider the possibility of cross-shareholding your Wangzhou Group shares with our Tianque Group.”

Mu Li spoke softly, but every word was exceptionally clear.

Zhou Wang squinted his eyes, falling into silence for a moment.

There was quite a lot of information embedded in Mu Li’s short sentence.

Firstly, it showed she knew Zhou Wang well, and had perhaps been following his recent activities. Although Wangzhou Group had been established for some time, it hadn’t made any major moves; at least its influence hadn’t extended beyond Magic City. For most people, since Wangzhou is a non-public company with undisclosed asset information, even if they know the name, they wouldn’t know much about it.

But Mu Li immediately proposed having Zhou Wang exchange ”shares in Wangzhou Group,” clearly showing she knew at least some of Zhou Wang’s background, to dare make such a demand.

Back to what Mu Li mentioned, the ”Tianque Group.”

”Heavenly Palace” was originally the name of the Peng City Club run by Mu Li.

All subsequent industries they ventured into began from there, so the so-called ”Tianque Group” was likely an integration of all Mu Li’s industries, including high-end clubs in three major cities and other industry assets extended from them, resulting in a substantial sum.

The scale should not be underestimated.

Zhou Wang truly didn’t expect Mu Li to propose such a request on their first meeting.

After a brief consideration, Zhou Wang spoke with a light laugh, ”Though President Mu speaks with such gravity, how come I still feel like President Mu is joking?”

”Not to mention whether you know enough about me, but my understanding of President Mu and your Tianque Group is very limited, one might even say it’s woefully inadequate. President Mu, as a mature operator, you should know it’s hard for me to take such a proposal seriously.”

Mu Li seemed to have been prepared for this. She stood up, walked behind her desk, and returned with a sealed envelope, which she handed to Zhou Wang.

”Mr. Zhou, everything you wish to know about Tianque Group is in here.”
