The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 57: Chapter 54 She Only Needs to Please One Person

“I can drink, but just call me Zhou Wang.”

Zhou Wang probably understood her mindset, raised his glass and clinked it with hers. However, upon hearing her address him, he couldn’t help but furrow his brow.

The reason was simple. Zhou Wang remembered that she also called Zhou Yiquan “Young Master Zhou,” and there could only be one Young Master Zhou in this world!

…Just kidding, Zhou Wang just found it a bit awkward.

Observing Zhou Wang’s expression, Shen Yutong noticed his furrowed brow and her heart skipped a beat, yet she couldn’t understand what she did wrong. Fortunately, Zhou Wang still took a sip of his drink, and Shen Yutong could only down her glass of red wine.

...

Just as Shen Yutong was about to put down her glass, Brother Dog beside her laughed and said, “Yutong, there are so many people at the table, and you’re only toasting Zhou Wang. Are you looking down on us?”

“Of course not!”

Shen Yutong quickly poured another glass of wine and said laughingly, “Young Master Zhang, Brother Dog, Young Master Zhou, Brother Ruan, and Brother Bin… I toast you all!”

“At a drinking table, a group can toast an individual, but an individual can’t toast a group… Yutong, you don’t know even this, do you?”

Brother Dog kept laughing, “What, we’re not worthy of drinking a glass with you?”

Zhang Zhiyuan and Brother Ruan stayed silent. Zhou Yiquan watched Shen Yutong amusingly, and Wang Qiaobin seemed like he wanted to say something, but in the end pretended to be deaf and dumb.

“Then… I’ll go one by one.”

Shen Yutong’s smile became forced, but she still went around toasting everyone individually. Under Brother Dog’s reminder, she didn’t leave out the other two girls either.

After going around, Shen Yutong’s cheeks were already flushed, and her eyes turned blurry. Just before she could sit down to catch her breath, Brother Dog, who had already poured another glass of wine, smiled and raised his glass.

“Come on, Yutong, we’ve known each other for a while. This should be the first time we’re drinking together. I’ll toast to you!”

Shen Yutong’s face turned pale instantly. Brother Dog’s intention was quite clear now—he wanted to get her drunk.

Zhou Wang sighed in his heart. He originally didn’t want to interfere, but Su Yajing had been signaling for help since earlier, almost ready to cry.

Besides, getting a girl drunk like this was really in poor taste. Zhou Wang didn’t know if Brother Dog had any other intentions, but he couldn’t just ignore it.

“Brother Dog, let’s drink later, eat some food first.”

Zhou Wang said without looking up.

“I’m almost full…”

Brother Dog’s smile froze, and just as he was about to say something, Zhang Zhiyuan spoke up too.

“Let it go, Little Dog.”

With the two of them speaking, Brother Dog finally said nothing more and put down his glass.

Shen Yutong, relieved, sat down and looked gratefully at Zhou Wang, only to find that he wasn’t looking at her at all, instead whispering with Su Yajing.

Shen Yutong instinctively looked at the goblet in front of Su Yajing, and the red wine poured since the beginning had barely gone down at all.

Knowing that Su Yajing’s “brother” was Zhou Wang, the envy she had felt had now magnified infinitely.

She had to accompany everyone carefully, trying not to offend anyone at the table, whereas Su Yajing only needed to please one person from start to finish.

“Brother, I’m sorry for causing you trouble. Please don’t be angry, I’ll repay you.”

As Shen Yutong stared blankly, Su Yajing was whispering to Zhou Wang, seemingly pleading.

“How will you repay me?” Zhou Wang sniffed the floral scent on her, smiling.

“This humble girl is still quite charming, only this body remains…”

Su Yajing whispered beside Zhou Wang in a timid yet slightly seductive tone.

Damn, this little tease!

Zhou Wang felt himself harden slightly, realizing that her acting skills were indeed impressive. Just a sentence and she nailed the brothel vibe.

The atmosphere at the dinner then returned to normal. As they drank and exchanged pleasantries, Zhou Wang began to understand the people more.

Zhang Zhiyuan’s family was indeed the wealthiest, with roots in the Northeast and numerous businesses, currently focusing on the film and entertainment industry.

Although they didn’t delve into details, Zhou Wang vaguely understood why he managed to acquire shares in Wuyou Media from them.

When he previously checked Wuyou Media’s business registration, the largest shareholder also had the surname Zhang.

Brother Dog and Zhou Yiquan’s family backgrounds were similar, but one family was in the mining business, while the other was in road construction.

The commonality between these two needed solid networking.

Additionally, Zhou Yiquan himself seemed to have invested in some ventures, mainly bars and stables, typical of a playboy.

The oldest, Brother Ruan, didn’t fare as well as the others. He inherited a family tourism business and somehow ended up hanging out with them.

Two bottles of Moutai were split among six people. After finishing, Zhou Wang was just buzzed, and to his surprise, no one suggested opening another bottle.

He felt this amount was just right, not enough to make him feel sick but providing a good level of relaxation from the alcohol.

However, Zhou Wang soon realized he had mistaken things.

“Zhou Wang, can you still drink?”

After eating and drinking, Zhang Zhiyuan checked the time, smiling at Zhou Wang, “The booths are booked already, how about we head to Wave Live House?”

Ah, so there was an afterparty.

No wonder everyone seemed quite restrained.

“I’m not going, that’s enough for me.”

Zhou Wang shook his head in refusal.

He wasn’t someone who liked to dampen his friends’ spirits, but with the relationship he had with these few people, it could only go as far as dinner.

“Come on, Brother Dog, I also invited four or five girls. I told them that Ming City’s Daniel Wu would be there, if you don’t go, how could I face them?”

Zhou Yiquan shouted.

He was indeed straightforward. Even though he had mocked Zhou Wang the most earlier, after giving in, he quickly and naturally followed Wang Qiaobin’s lead, using Zhou Wang’s nickname, regardless of their age difference.

“But I have a sister with me, maybe next time.”

Zhou Wang glanced at Su Yajing, who was clinging to him.

“Alright, Zhou Wang clearly has more ‘important’ business. Why are you urging him?”

Brother Ruan laughed, gently pushing Zhou Yiquan who still wanted to say something.

Su Yajing, with her cheeks flushed, gave a shy expression at the perfect moment.

“I forgot about that. Fine, I won’t push it. Let’s meet again in a few days. Want me to call a driving service for you?”

Zhang Zhiyuan inquired.

“I’ve got a driver coming for me, you all go ahead.”

Zhou Wang shook his head. As the group laughed and prepared to leave, the last to stand, Shen Yutong suddenly wobbled and then collapsed onto a chair, vomiting with a “wow.”

Everyone frowned at the sight.

Su Yajing hurriedly went over to support Shen Yutong, realizing she was obviously not quite conscious anymore.

Even though Zhou Wang had intervened earlier, preventing anyone else from getting her drunk, the numerous glasses she chugged earlier finally caught up to her. While it might have seemed fine at the time, the aftereffects of red wine were no joke, now fully manifesting.

“Brother…”

Su Yajing, somewhat aggrieved, looked up, clearly not knowing what to do.

She certainly wanted to follow Zhou Wang, but couldn’t just abandon her friend.

“What a mess!”

Zhou Wang also felt a headache coming on, seeing Zhang Zhiyuan and others still waiting, he waved them off, “You guys go on ahead, I’ll handle this.”
