The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 54: Chapter 51: The Raging Dragon Roars, Dream Supercar!

“Mr. Zhou, why don’t we move to the reception room and sit down for a detailed discussion?”

Fan Wei suggested.

“Sure.”

Zhou Wang also noticed that their large group was blocking the way, indeed causing some inconvenience.

“Give me a moment.”

...

Zhou Wang walked back to Wang Qiaobin and the others. Given that no one else knew what to say, it was Wang Qiaobin who spoke first.

“Zhou Wang, you really are… a master of disguise!”

Wang Qiaobin could only smile wryly, harboring a bit of resentment. Just a moment ago, he had given Zhou Wang a crash course on Ferraris. Wasn’t that just showing off for no reason?

“Hey, Bro B, while the car is mine, there are certain things I genuinely don’t understand because the car was sort of gifted to me.”

Hearing Zhou Wang’s explanation, Wang Qiaobin felt a lot more at ease, but then he was shocked once again.

Wait a minute, isn’t this even more absurd than if Zhou Wang had bought it himself…?

“Young Master Zhang, I have a favor to ask of you.”

Zhou Wang then turned to Zhang Zhiyuan.

“Me?”

Zhang Zhiyuan, looking visibly conflicted, was taken aback.

“Here’s the thing, I heard from Bro B that you’re also a long-time Ferrari client. I need to verify some paperwork now, but I’m not very familiar with the process. Could you possibly accompany me?”

Zhou Wang smiled, “My English isn’t great; I’m afraid I might not understand some parts.”

Without Zhou Wang’s explanation to Wang Qiaobin, Zhang Zhiyuan and the others might have thought this was pure sarcasm. You’re already getting VIP treatment from Ferrari; how could you possibly not understand?

But with the added context and Zhou Wang’s sincere tone, Zhang Zhiyuan felt much more at ease, even inexplicably a bit ashamed.

Although he hadn’t voiced any ridicule against Zhou Wang before, he did harbor a hint of disdain. But look at Zhou Wang’s magnanimity; not only did he not mind, but he also graciously invited him to help out.

Zhang Zhiyuan, oh Zhang Zhiyuan, your scope is lagging!

No wonder he drives an 812C!

“No problem, I’ll go with you.”

So, Zhang Zhiyuan readily agreed.

Zhou Wang looked at him with even more friendliness… this treasure map would take more than an hour to dig up, so he definitely couldn’t let this Young Master Zhang get away!

Zhang Zhiyuan then spoke with Zhou Yiquan and the others and subsequently left with Zhou Wang and Wang Qiaobin under Fan Wei’s guidance.

Before leaving, Zhou Wang smiled at Zhou Yiquan and Tu Ge, who all instinctively responded with smiles and nods.

After the group had gone far, Zhou Yiquan exhaled, rubbing his face, which had started to cramp from smiling.

“Who on earth is this guy? Damn, I just looked like a clown, totally humiliated today!”

Tu Ge, standing by, nodded in strong agreement.

…

The car delivery procedures were simpler than Zhou Wang had imagined.

In reality, the most complicated steps of purchasing a Ferrari come before signing the contract because there are so many customizations— from large ones like the car roof and wheels to small ones like the steering wheel stitching, all usually requiring extra money.

After spending hundreds of thousands to a million on customizations, then comes a wait of about a year, after which you can acquire the exclusive “driving a Ferrari single-handedly” skill and shoot a contrasting short video, “My left and right profiles look different.”

For Zhou Wang’s 812C, most of the paperwork was already complete. He only needed to verify the delivery instructions and sign, and even the temporary plates had arrived that day.

However, to stall Young Master Zhang, Zhou Wang kept Henry engaged in conversation for quite a while, repeatedly confirming various vehicle details, leaving Zhang Zhiyuan pondering why Zhou Wang was being so cautious.

Finally, after enduring until the two-hour “digging time” ended, Zhou Wang, now intimately familiar with Ferrari’s brand culture, stood up with relief.

“Mr. Henry, thank you for your patience; I believe I have no more questions.”

“Oh, Zhou, I am equally impressed with your humor and wit…”

After some mutual flattery, Zhou Wang added him and Fan Wei on WeChat and conveniently added Young Master Zhang as well.

After leaving the reception room, with an hour left until the end of the car show, they casually wandered around. As the closing time drew near, Zhang Zhiyuan smilingly asked Zhou Wang, “Want to grab a bite together?”

Zhou Wang could sense Young Master Zhang’s genuine intention to befriend him; otherwise, there was no reason for him to accompany him through the end of the car show.

“OK, but I should go get my car first. Shall we meet at the venue entrance?”

“Sure, we’ll wait for you.”

Parting with the two, Zhou Wang sent a WeChat message to Su Yajing, asking her to wait at the entrance. Then, carrying the Ferrari car key, he headed against the crowd back to the international exhibition area.

This area was now deserted, with only the Ferrari staff awaiting him.

Theoretically, this was the final step in the car handover; Zhou Wang still had to perform an inspection.

After going through the configuration checklist again and completing everything, he pulled open the car door, feeling a surge of excitement.

Getting in and starting the engine, when he heard that distinctive “roar” of the supercar, Zhou Wang couldn’t help but show a delighted expression.

“Nice!”

…

By the roadside at the venue entrance stood a Mercedes G-Class and a Porsche Panamera. Zhang Zhiyuan and Zhou Yiquan stood in front of the cars, casually chatting and laughing.

Shen Yutong, who had changed clothes and come out earlier, was initially taken aback, thinking Zhang Zhiyuan and the others were waiting specifically for her. But as she got closer, she realized no one paid her any attention. Zhang Zhiyuan and his group seemed engrossed in some topic— something about “top-of-the-line customizations,” “the first one in the province,” and such.

“What’s going on…”

Mesmerized, Shen Yutong approached two other girls and asked.

“They’re all waiting for Zhou Wang!”

One girl, wearing a little camisole, said.

“Zhou Wang?”

Shen Yutong remembered the fairly handsome guy, a bit confused. “He’s got that much sway, making everyone wait here for him?”

“Sis, he’s driving a Ten Million Ferrari; what’s a little sway?” The camisole girl snickered.

“Exactly, that’s a limited edition supercar even Young Master Zhang couldn’t buy!”

Another girl, holding a compact mirror for touch-ups, added with a tint of longing, “Gosh, Sisi, he doesn’t seem to have a date. Do you think there’s any chance I could sit in his passenger seat?”

“You’re dreaming; didn’t you see him kiss that car model on the spot? How could you take her place?”

“True…”

As the two girls were chatting, Shen Yutong was bewildered.

A Ten Million supercar? A Ferrari that even Young Master Zhang couldn’t buy?

It dawned on her that she’d possibly underestimated him. Does that mean Zhou Wang is actually the most influential among them?

Just from the way Zhang Zhiyuan and others were waiting without any sign of impatience, it was evident enough.

At this moment, out of the corner of her eye, Shen Yutong saw Su Yajing walking out from the entrance, hastily going up to her.

“Shen Yutong, I just told you on WeChat that I’m going to eat with my brother, so don’t try to sway me!”

“Not going?”

Shen Yutong teased, “I’m telling you, among these guys, there’s your dreamboat. You’ll regret it if you don’t come!”

“Ugh, I don’t think anything could be tastier than my dear brother!”

Su Yajing dismissed it disdainfully.

“Not only is that guy handsome, but he’s also…”

Shen Yutong was about to describe Zhou Wang when a deep engine roar interrupted her.

Vroom!

At the end of the internal road, under the setting sun, the Ferrari 812C gleaming in alluring blue appeared in sight, speeding toward them.
