Pillar of Yita

Bunigu shook his head: ”That’s not possible, Milaila wouldn’t be so kind without reason. Unless you find a priest who can perform high-tier restoration, but such priests are archbishops level, why would they care about small fries like us.”

”Those damned sky pirates,” Tianlan was furious: ”They’re completely inhuman!”

”If they were human, would they still be pirates?” The Papalarian couldn’t understand Tianlan’s logic.

Tianlan snapped at him: ”If you can’t talk, just shut up, Parker!”

Parker could only obediently keep quiet.

However, everyone fell silent for a while. Both Bakins and the old captain under Princess Briana had told them about the atrocities of these pirates. But the ’atrocities’ back then were just an adjective, far less chilling than the bloody reality now.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but think of Archbishop Tirioan of Cloud Harbor. Given his position, he should be able to perform high-tier restoration, right? However, the girl seemed very uneasy and withdrawn, not interacting with outsiders after what happened.

Moreover, they couldn’t get in touch with Tirioan at the moment, so this matter had to be set aside for now.

The remaining person was a sailor from the ship, likely encountered the Blood Shark Sky Pirates. He suffered a lot at their hands too, but as a robust young man, he remained somewhat optimistic.

Fang Hong then found Bakins, asking him to ’properly’ interrogate those Blood Shark Sky Pirates—as an experienced sailor on the Sky Sea, Bakins was well-versed in these interrogation methods.

The ladies originally resisted this idea, but after this incident, they too were united in hatred. Since these pirates didn’t see them as human, they didn’t need to treat these guys with humanity either.

After a round of anguished cries, the Big Cat People who were initially interested in watching, came back with a not-so-good expression.

He lit a pipe afterwards, took a deep drag, exhaled the smoke from his large mouth, his silver eyes glinting through the swirling smoke, and said to Fang Hong:

”Ade, although revenge is temporarily satisfying—the Goddess instructs us to always uphold the integrity of our souls. While I follow my heart, feeling guiltless, it’s still better for a paladin to remain pure.”

Fang Hong was surprised to look at the Big Cat People, thinking he had some enlightenment after watching a ’good show’, asked: ”Are you planning to let that person go, Mr. Reed?”

”You’re overthinking, little one,” the Big Cat People shook his head, the golden ring hanging below his mane clinking: ”But I’ll give him a quick end.”

Among everyone, the curious Xiangzi and Papalarian quickly ran out. Xiangzi vomited on the spot with a ’wow’—soon, the Papalarian couldn’t avoid it either, starting to vomit intensely.

Only Luo Hao stuck it out to the end, and even curiously discussed the experience with Bakins, making the old sailor greatly amazed, thinking this Little Fatty was a promising talent.

However, our Iron Guard soon became the public enemy among the ladies.

Tianlan looked at the guy, frustrated: ”You perverse fatty!”

Luo Hao felt wronged: ”I admit to being a perverse fatty, why’d you add ’damn’ in front?”

”Because I feel like it.”

Still, Fang Hong pulled the two apart, preventing them from quarreling further.

The results of Bakins’ interrogation came in quickly. Due to Eteliria’s general environment, these self-proclaimed ’hard bones’ of the Sky Sea, seemed far less tough than they claimed.

In fact, most pirates didn’t know much about mysterious spells, let alone the Holy Arts of the Forest Elves. When Bakins killed a pirate in front of them and the others watched that guy revive right in front of their eyes, they were almost terrified stiff.

They had no idea how long Atira’s spell would last, nor did they know the pirate resurrected after being killed could actually return to another Holy Sanctuary if he died again.

Terrified, they naturally couldn’t withstand Bakins’ severe interrogation and confessed the truth. But Bakins didn’t let them off easily, repeatedly experimenting with his methods on them until confirming there were no contradictions in their confessions before sparing them.

They were tied up and thrown into Mr. Greyrock’s cabin to fend for themselves.

”We’ve pretty much confirmed the situation in Idus, Lord Captain.”

Bakins, after washing off the bloodstains and changing clothes, came to the ’Central Workshop’, found Fang Hong and said: ”It seems the Elfendo Council’s information is somewhat outdated; the Blood Shark Sky Pirates have long arrived in Idus and taken control of the place.”

”They’ve taken control of the place?” Fang Hong put down the map he was studying, looking up in some surprise.

Bakins nodded: ”Yes, that’s pretty much the situation now.”

”What do you mean by ’now’?”

”They initially entered Idus disguised as ’archaeologists,’ with not too many people at the time—in fact, they’ve captured many people from around Ankuid, all under the name of ’archaeology’ to excavate some things in Idus City.”

”So the people sent by the Elfendo Council actually didn’t notice this.”
