Pillar of Yita

After clearing the giant spiders, the Dragonfire Guild began their next move.

”They’re looking for a way into the egg chamber of the spider nest,” Gita whispered timely to everyone.

The Dragonfire Guild dispersed some melee members, waving torches, making their way through the forest filled with spider webs. The webs were flammable and turned to wisps of smoke upon contact with fire. As they advanced, the Seven Seas Travel Group quietly and silently followed behind.

After a fierce battle, the giant spiders were too afraid to reappear, and the Dragonfire Guild quickly burned a path leading into the interior of the spider nest. All around appeared towering white structures, these were ’egg towers’ stacked from countless silk cocoons, inside were layers upon layers of spider eggs, the future nursery for the young spiders.

The Dragonfire Guild spared no thought for these spider eggs, throwing torches to set them ablaze. The immature young spiders struggled in the flames, emitting shrill screams, as if causing the forest to echo rustlingly.

Elisa and Gita couldn’t help but turn a bit pale.

Even Luo Hao shuddered.

Fang Hong supported the back of the young Natural Historian, Gita shivered a little, turned back, behind the large frame glasses, her clear black-and-white pupils blinked lightly, looking at him with puzzlement.

”Don’t be afraid, Miss Hilveld and I are here.” Fang Hong gave her a reassuring smile.

Gita took a breath, nodded to him, feeling reassured.

Miss Hilveld noticed this and smiled gently.

Just like a creature’s instinct to protect its offspring, the young spiders’ screams finally attracted a batch of giant spiders. But even when their numbers were more before, they had no match for the Dragonfire Guild, and now it was the same. Moreover, the Dragonfire Guild seemed to have anticipated this, prepared in advance, and easily won after a battle.

They passed the scorched bodies of the giant spiders and continued forward. Keeping about one or two hundred meters distance, the members of the Seven Seas Travel Group stayed far behind.

Further away, the dense woods would obscure the view of the other side, making it difficult to see what they were doing. But coming closer risked being discovered. At this current distance, the Seven Seas Travel Group managed to control the situation perfectly, thanks to Fang Hong’s flexible construct scouting ability.

Though the other side also has Combat Artisans, Fang Hong’s mastery over the Clockwork Fairy was so advanced that he practically toyed with the other side.

Moreover, the combat artisans on the other side were rather clumsy. Several times Elisa saw their artisans climb the trees to retrieve their Clockwork Fairies stuck in webs.

Seeing everyone a bit bored, she jokingly started talking about this with everyone.

But the Papalarians rolled their eyes: ”Elisa, stop praising that damned pigeon.”

”Look at him, about to fly away.”

”Who’s about to fly away?” Fang Hong immediately raged.

These guys, influenced by his cousin, also know his nickname now, it’s simply outrageous.

Among them, only Luo Hao recognized the skill, he had a somewhat similar experience to Fang Hong, both having been theoretical masters in the community—though Fang Hong was a bit introverted, Luo Hao was more fond of pointing out landscapes before others.

Speaking carelessly, Elisa’s words gave Luo Hao a flash of insight, realizing this new ’Captain’ had a unique way of controlling the Clockwork Fairy.

At heart, he is someone who adapts to situations, probably due to his confidence in his own abilities, believing he could accomplish things without relying on teammates. So when receiving the order, he wasn’t overly looking forward to future teammates, nor was he very disappointed.

However, this Artisan Captain of the Seven Seas Travel Group gave him a pleasant surprise.

He also knew the other party, Morning Dawn Star, a brief meeting on the Continental League gave him considerable expectation, and later he was proved right.

But after the Continental League, he once thought the other party was primarily an artisan, of course, artisans do have some basic skills of Combat Artisans, not surprising, these days many claim double mastery.

He hadn’t seen the final battle of Fanric, though had watched some online videos, but about the final Dragon Knight battle, it was clear from the videos that it was the fourteen Artisan Masters of the Elfendo Council who exerted the real effort.

So unlike the general opinion, he only slightly suspected Fang Hong was a Fairy Master, but this idea was too far-fetched, so it was abandoned.

And after this period of interaction, he gradually adjusted his understanding, realizing the other party might be an Even Occupation Craftsman—the so-called Even Occupation Craftsman is someone who balances development on the paths of Combat Artisan and Alchemist. Such individuals are not unheard of, the Ice Goddess of Elite is among the exemplary.

Adventure groups do not have high demands on artisans, or rather, most adventure groups require artisans to be able to maintain the Magic Guided Conductors daily, if they are dedicated mercenary artisans or siege artisans, naturally that’s better.

Back then, Sicape’s Morning Dawn Star finding Fang Hong as an apprentice, was akin to discovering treasure. Not only did Fang Hong have a unique style in maintaining the Magic Guided Conductors compared to other artisans of the same level, he could also fully utilize the materials gained from the group’s adventures.

This compared to a regular artisan, surpasses in ways unknown, so-called professional native artisan, is nothing more.
