Pillar of Yita

”Speaking of which,” Reed looked at Ati, smiled, ”our Elf Miss in the Holy Sanctuary was responsible for such tasks. I was once trapped in the Forest by them, but fortunately, Ameya and Lady Marlan had a pretty good relationship.”

Ati glanced at the Big Cat, who immediately shut his mouth.

Then she said in a gentle tone, ”Lord Ameya’s divine arts indeed include spells about imprisonment, but they require a forest to cast, and being spell effects, they cannot last long. For long-term imprisonment, the Eternal Stone is needed.”

”I can create a forest environment.” Gita held her Magic Guided Book in her hands and quickly spoke.

Fang Hong once again looked at Ati.

Given the ability to imprison them, preventing their return to resurrect and deliver messages, he certainly leaned towards taking action. Not only to rescue people but also because he had long wanted to capture a couple of ’tongues’ to see what dirt existed between the Blood Shark Pirates and the Dragonfire Guild. With these two forces, along with the Dragon Worship Sect, gathered in Idus, he wouldn’t believe it was just a coincidence.

The Elf Miss finally nodded.

Bakins thought for a moment on the side and said, ”Then we must strike swiftly, and nothing must go wrong during combat.”

”No problem,” Fang Hong immediately replied, as if boasting, patting his newly acquired Wind Goggles. This thing could analyze the enemy’s attribute values, and he had already used the enemy as an experiment. ”Those Blood Shark Pirates aren’t that strong; their Strength and Agility Ratings aren’t high, estimating they won’t exceed Level 14 at most.”

Level 14, it doesn’t seem that high, but among the ordinary natives of Eteliria, it’s not a low level. In Eteliria, whether it’s Colin Ishurian or Osh, or most continental nations’ armies, the average level is around this level.

That may sound a bit unbelievable.

But when you think about it, among elite units like Dawn Knights or Morning Guards, even ordinary knights wouldn’t exceed Level 25. And once surpassing Level 25, they are often granted the position of Knight Commander.

Natives are ultimately different from Invokers, and combat professions are far more difficult and dangerous to improve than life professions. Even among Invokers, those who can reach above Level 30 aren’t many, as cognitive experience sees a significant decline after the steps of Level 10 and Level 20, with the decline after Level 20 being much more severe than that of Level 10.

In fact, Fang Hong had already begun to feel this decline; killing monsters below Level 20 yielded almost no experience gains, and though higher level monsters were difficult to kill, the experience wasn’t much more plentiful.

Above Level 20, one enters the realm of veteran adventurers in Eteliria, and the way of leveling up becomes entirely different from the newbie stage. Before Level 20, guilds and adventure groups could still rapidly pass through this stage by ’monster farming’ or using experience items for their trainees, though at a great cost, but it wasn’t without shortcuts.

But after Level 20, a mature adventure group and guild team must work through another means to advance—by accumulating fame and completing various events to gain enough cognitive experience, which is the real reason why the Super Competitive League can allocate resources to major guilds.

This process is often not a smooth one. Like Sicape and Kroid, although they stayed a long time in Eteliria, their levels did not increase much with time accumulation. In fact, before they left Eteliria, they had not exceeded Level 30.

Exceeding Level 30, that enters the domain of a powerful presence.

It seems that within top guilds, there are many Invokers above Level 30, and even many top experts from the Second World. But when expanded to the entire scale of Eteliria, it is quite limited - the total population of Invokers is twenty million, which is only about one or two out of ten among the natives.

Moreover, among these twenty million, how many are active players, how many are retired players, and how many can be considered strong?

Therefore, to the Seven Seas Travelers, the level of Blood Shark Pirates seems normal, and anything higher would seem odd, because these people might just be ordinary members. And Bakins mentioned it also because there are still elites within the Blood Shark Pirates.

Since the enemy’s level is determined to be negligible, the combat arrangement is naturally simple and clear, without the complexity needed against them and the ’Grey Scale’ brigade.

In fact, they simply waited above the cliff and launched a sudden attack when the enemy passed below the Valley — those pirates seemingly had no thought that they would encounter an ambush here, especially with such a considerable disparity in combat power, so from the start, the battle was a one-sided crushing.

Gita summoned a vast Phantom Rainforest without sparing any cost, and then under Ati’s spell control, the aerial roots of those towering ancient trees came alive and wrapped around the Blood Shark Pirates one by one. Then she inscribed Divine Arts Marks on them — severing their link to Starlight one by one.

On the other side, Fang Hong, the Big Cat, and Bakins faced off against the pirate Captain, and the battle held no suspense. The opponent’s level was slightly higher than ordinary pirates, but not beyond what the three of them could handle together. It took just one round for the opponent to fall.

The Big Cat didn’t kill him, just threw him into the ’rainforest’, where the aerial roots wrapped around like snakes, binding him tight. Lastly, the Elf Miss replicated the process, so that combat was declared abruptly concluded just minutes into the opening.

Ati inscribed a Divine Arts Mark on the pirate Captain, then came over to Fang Hong to say, ”With my level, the mark should last forty-eight hours, but that’s in the Holy Tree Forest of Giant Tree Hill, here I can’t guarantee that.”

Tianlan was afraid Fang Hong might change his mind and replied, ”About two days should be enough.”

Fang Hong looked at the little girl crying and laughing, thinking, how could he change his mind about this?

”Even if not enough,” Luo Hao, wiping sweat from his forehead, set down the Great Shield and added, ”in two days, the opponents would at most know there are enemies nearby. From a timeliness standpoint, it’s already pointless.”

Upon hearing this, Fang Hong nodded, thinking it indeed was so.
