Pillar of Yita

Such artisans may not be scarce in various grand artisan associations, but how could the average adventure group have the opportunity to win the favor of these proud artisan masters, let them join the team, and venture alongside them?

Besides, Fang Hong’s expertise as a combat artisan is also ’commendable.’

At least that was how Luo Hao saw it. He had seen Fang Hong previously use the ’Energy Angel’ variant sword-bearer, wielding it proficiently, even to an exceptional degree.

Adept in all aspects, and remarkable in many, Luo Hao might not agree in other professions, as excelling in everything often means mediocrity in all; but when it comes to the field of artisans, it is a stroke of fortune, as artisans are supporters of the team.

The more versatile the artisan, the more comprehensive the team.

Just like Virus to the Elites, without that Ice Goddess’s contributions, the elite guild which currently stands at the forefront in the domestic division would lose much of its legendary luster.

At least the Emerald Flame would not have been born.

And now, he gained a new understanding.

However, Luo Hao glanced at the others and could not help but feel a bit perplexed:

A versatile artisan is already rare, and to possess a unique manipulation technique for a Clockwork Fairy further elevates it to a top-tier level among elite guilds, yet why are these people showing no reaction at all. Or perhaps everyone is so accustomed, and it’s he who is overreacting?

Thinking of this, he dared not speak lightly, to avoid making a fool of himself, only asked tentatively:

”Captain, your proficiency in manipulating the Clockwork Fairy is at least above the general standard of grand guilds, it’s very hard for an average free summoner to reach this level, have you learned under someone?”

”Is that so?” Fang Hong was slightly taken aback, knowing that his own skills were exceptional among general combat artisans, especially with his formidable calculative power. Yet, as for the standard of grand guilds, he was not very clear, apart from knowing grand guild artisans like Virus, FOX, and Nether intimately, the closest would be Red Leaf, Wu Di, and Liuli Yue.

Perhaps with the addition of the unknown young artisan he had encountered several times from the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team.

But seriously, these four are not ’seed’ types of players in first-tier grand guilds, definitely a far cry from Sophie’s level. Sophie is being cultivated as the core heir of Silver Weslan’s guild in Eteliria and could very well enter Silver Weslan’s brigade in the First World in the future, following the path of team leader, vice-chairman, leading up to chairman.

She would definitely enter the Second World, possibly even have a chance to become a candidate member of Silver Weslan’s brigade ’Silver Rose’ in the Second World.

Without a suitable reference, Fang Hong currently only knew he was still considered exceptional, with the military valuing him, but when compared to the level of artisans in grand guilds, he lacked a more specific impression.

He asked, ”Do you understand the level of first-tier members in grand guilds?”

Luo Hao thought for a moment, answering, ”I know a little, but not the details; your level, Captain, is among the outstanding of newcomers in first-tier guilds.”

”The First World?”

”Naturally the First World.” Luo Hao bizarrely glanced at him, thinking that his ambition was too great, to be contemplating the Second World already.

Fang Hong naturally was unaware of the standards Luo Hao used to evaluate his abilities, he simply compared his level with Sophie’s in his mind, and more or less could accept this judgment. Just an outstanding newcomer in first-tier guilds, and only in the First World, not much different from Sophie—Fang Hong thought, but this might not count as the strongest.

After this small incident, ahead the Dragonfire Guild finally entered the core area of the spider nest in the forest.

Behind a cluster of tall white towers, they found the matron spider of the brood.

After successive battles, the surviving giant spiders of this brood were few, only a few female spiders were left fiercely defending beside the matriarch.

The female spiders brandished their fangs, attempting to stop the invaders from approaching their clan leader, but to no avail, having reached this juncture, the Dragonfire Guild didn’t even need to employ strategies, brute force would suffice to steadily draw near the matron spider.

Fang Hong and the others saw the matron of the Panier Cunning Spiders for the first time.

It was larger than ordinary female spiders, especially its sizable abdomen, leaving a profound impression—unlike ordinary cunning spiders, the matron’s round and plump abdomen was almost translucent, filled with green bodily fluids, and packed with densely lined egg sacs, bulging nearly to bursting point.

It screeched to defend its nest, but the fighting female spiders at the front fell one by one, leaving it to fight alone in a last stand.

The Dragonfire Guild was not in a rush to approach it, instead, the combat artisans assembled a crossbow machine, drew the bowstring, and fired a chain spear at it. The spear hit the matron spider’s abdomen with a ’poof,’ and the fluids inside splattered out instantly.

The matron spider let out an enraged shriek from the pain, thrashing left and right amongst the crowd, but its heavy body posed little threat to the Dragonfire Guild.

What seemed like a grand scene actually did not press the Dragonfire Guild as the previous female spiders did.

Some pulled on the chains, fiercely dragging the matron spider in another direction, it furiously attempted to break free, but soon more crossbow machines were assembled, firing one spear after another into the matron’s round and plump abdomen.
