Pillar of Yita

Among the four people, the fastest-running Two-Handed Swordsman was the first to reach the vicinity of that White Wax Wood.

He first looked up and noticed that the chubby Papalarian was trying hard to climb down from the tree. Without thinking, he swung his Great Sword roundly and threw it. The spinning Great Sword turned into a bright silver disk, flew across the Forest, and accurately struck the trunk of the White Wax Wood with a ’bang’, embedding itself so that more than half of the blade cut horizontally through the wooden trunk of the tall tree.

The latter let out a ’creak’ of cracking sound, and without support, the giant tree crown tilted to one side and fell.

The Papalarian let out a terrifying scream, flailing his chubby short legs while holding onto the branches, but at the last moment, he leapt and jumped onto a nearby cypress, where the needle-like leaves pricked him and made him yelp.

The Two-Handed Swordsman hadn’t expected such an action, paused in surprise before hurrying forward to retrieve his Great Sword. Just as his hand touched the hilt, he noticed a protruding Flash device on the fallen White Wax Wood.

Trap—

An alarm bell went off in the Swordsman’s mind, and he quickly released the hilt, rolling backward urgently.

But after rolling into the bushes, he waited for a moment and didn’t encounter the imagined commotion. He looked up to see the device make a ’clicking’ sound as it cracked open, and a spring-loaded clown jumped out, wobbling mockingly in silence.

The Swordsman, furious, rushed forward to pull out the Great Sword, passing by the ’clown’ in pursuit of the Papalarian.

Who knew that as soon as he moved to one side, a burst of fire erupted from the clown. The Swordsman was shocked and raised his sword to block. But as the fire flashed, a fireball only left his face covered in soot. He was dumbfounded for a good while before looking back.

He saw the Papalarian had already bent the cypress, leapt to the ground from it, and was running away into the distance. In between, he tripped and rolled down the hill like a round, bouncing ball.

The Swordsman wiped the soot off his face, said nothing, and followed in that direction.

He parted a grove of laurels and saw the Little Fatty lying sprawled out in the bush, having taken a hard fall, wobbled his head and sat up, looking at him with a face of alarm.

But the other party immediately looked behind him and screamed: ”Miss Maid, save me!”

The Swordsman was startled, reacting faster, pulling the sword back to strike, but cut through empty air—there was no one behind him! When he turned back, the cunning Papalarian had already dusted himself off and scampered away.

The Swordsman’s face was darker than ever—fortunately, with soot fully covering it, it didn’t seem darker, only somewhat comical. He raised his Great Sword with both hands, twisted the hilt with a ’click’, and the Star Stone on the guard emitted a pale yellow glow, then he raised the sword and slashed down heavily.

The yellow light traveled through the blade, into the ground, like lightning, passing under the feet of the running Papalarian, the earth cracked with a boom, raising a sharp rock ahead. The Papalarian looked back at him while running, and when he turned his head, he found it too late to evade and could only scream:

”Waaah!”

Then he crashed headfirst and fell backward.

The Great Swordsman then retracted his sword, and with a ’hiss’, a puff of white smoke emerged from it as the Star Stone dimmed. He looked at it and felt he might have been too impulsive. The Star Stone was overheating and cooling; he had wasted a precious Overload opportunity on chasing a useless Little Fatty.

Nevertheless, the opponent was quite infuriating.

He walked over with his sword, and the Papalarian only then wobbly got up from the ground, his face swollen like a pig’s head—squinting one eye at him, wobbling both hands and stammering: ”Lu bei he zheng de you lun...”

”I don’t believe you!”

The Swordsman was infuriated, raising his sword to strike down the Papalarian.

But just then, a gust of wind attacked from behind him, like a beast swinging giant claws.

The Swordsman, shocked, forcefully withdrew his sword at the last moment and turned, blocking with his sword in front of his chest—’bang’, a powerful force hit his blade.

He was sent flying with sword in hand, ’crack’, he smashed into a tree, breaking it, then crashed into the bushes behind, rolling several times before finally stopping.

Xiesta, in a tall maid outfit, with a cold expression on her face, watched the scene, then retracted her fist. The huge arm armor, almost every page of the armor was open, and then a long white steam was expelled from it.

”Shu si ta, lu men zhong yu lai lun.” Parker, with a swollen face, looked as if he had narrowly escaped death, said in a muffled voice.

Miss Maid, however, didn’t look at him and raised a hand coldly in one direction: ”Wind Wall.”

A white vapor cloud blossomed from her arm armor as the center.

A sharp arrow flew from the distant Forest, tracing an arc and collided with the vapor cloud, rebounding to the side. Then a Paladin and an Iron Guard appeared in that direction, but it couldn’t have been them who shot such an arrow—the Papalarian squinted at the scene, knowing that there was also a Ranger hiding nearby.

That was the Ranger leader—

Then both the Big Catfolk and Bakins appeared before the Papalarian.

Four against four, with an injured on both sides now.

No, it should be said five versus five.

Parker continued in a muffled voice: ”Be careful, there’s also a Nightingale on their side.”

Finally, his voice returned somewhat to normal.
