Pillar of Yita

But the problem isn’t that simple. On one hand, the Heart of Fairy is still at the Rose Workshop, and he has to complete the ’Delice’ side quest, which involves the Alchemist Alliance.

One misstep and he might get caught up in the political struggle between Colin Ishurian.

Moreover, completing the gamma form of the Type-One Crystal might also require the precious Magic Solution within the Alchemist Alliance, which makes it even more inevitable for him to step into the center of this vortex.

But right now, everything is still unclear. For now, just take it one step at a time.

He looked at Sophie again: ”Speaking of which, you can inform the military about the collusion between the Shadow Throne and the Dragonfire Guild.”

”You needn’t remind me, I did that long ago.”

Sophie snorted unhappily.

However, she had to admit that the timing of the information from the other side seemed too perfect, at least giving Stargate Port an excuse to intervene in the southern situation. But she also understood the possibly unrealistic thoughts in Fang Hong’s heart, so she couldn’t help but remind him: ”But don’t count on it too much...”

”What do you mean?” Fang Hong was a bit puzzled.

”Are you planning to have the military intervene to prevent potential issues?”

”Isn’t that possible?” Fang Hong retorted.

”Theoretically, it is,” Sophie thought for a moment, then replied: ”But the situation is somewhat special now. You know the relationship between the military and the Super Competitive League. Although it’s not exactly hostile, the league is wary of Stargate Port interfering with its interests, somewhat like guarding against a thief...”

This high-level matter was naturally beyond Fang Hong’s comprehension, and he was even a bit surprised: ”Are you saying the Super Competitive League can act without oversight?”

”Not exactly,” Sophie shook her head: ”But the league is only skirting the boundaries and hasn’t blatantly overstepped, so Stargate Port can’t just unilaterally dissolve the league...”

”Moreover, the military has its own concerns—as long as the Invokers don’t violate the ’Stargate Declaration’, they won’t draw much attention. But any military movements—especially those of major powers like the US, Europe, and China controlling regions post-Stargate—would cause widespread unease,” she answered softly: ”Considering diplomatic image, without absolute necessity, our country rarely considers using Stargate Port’s forces...”

Fang Hong was a bit surprised: ”But during the Charter City incident, didn’t the navy mobilize?”

Sophie gave him a sidelong glance: ”That was humanitarian aid. It’s different. During the Fenris incident, we also deployed forces.”

”But doesn’t that also have to do with the Dragon Worship Sect?”

”Do you have concrete evidence?” She asked in a rhetorical tone: ”Earlier this year, we deployed troops once in the Murky Domain, which provoked widespread protests, especially from Korea and Japan. So now Stargate Port will certainly prioritize caution in its actions.”

Fang Hong was speechless, as at that time Tianlan and Parker hadn’t brought Record Crystals, relying only on oral accounts. He could unconditionally trust his team members, but what about others? The willingness of this Silver Weslan Princess to trust them unreservedly was already rare, perhaps out of favor from the Fenris incident.

Sophie looked at him and continued: ”Of course, as the hero of the Fenris incident, if you’re willing to reveal your identity and personally vouch, then perhaps the military might use that as an excuse to intervene.”

Fang Hong hesitated.

But after a moment, he shook his head. Time was precious to them. After going through so much, he no longer believed that the Super Competitive League and the Descendants of Flor would do anything good.

He must seize every moment to improve himself before his identity is exposed. Of course, he could choose to reveal his identity and perhaps be a savior once more, but what then?

He could even leave altogether since he was just an Invoker. However, having promised Hilveld, Atira, and Lady Kuisu, what should the other team members do?

Balancing everything, he decided to stick to the original plan.

He believed he would have plenty of opportunities to deal with the Dragon Worshippers.

Sophie, of course, understood his thoughts.

She nodded, indicating her understanding: ”Or I could vouch in the name of Silver Weslan,” she looked at Fang Hong: ”As long as you’re sure everything is true...”

”It’s not necessary, Miss Sophie.” Fang Hong shook his head, feeling touched. Although he could ensure Tianlan and Parker wouldn’t lie, he couldn’t guarantee the other party wouldn’t play tricks. He understood that if she vouched with that name, she would face tremendous pressure.

After all, the Silver Weslan Little Princess title seemed glorious, but it wasn’t hers alone; her every word and action had to represent her Guild.

If successful, naturally fame and gain would follow, but if anything went wrong, her career as an Invoker might be over, and she might even face legal responsibilities.

Sophie smiled lightly, seemingly very pleased with Fang Hong’s answer: ”But if that’s the case, until concrete evidence is found, the military may keep its hands off, at most secretly sending some personnel to investigate the truth behind it.”

”Actually, there’s another way,” Fang Hong said.

But neither spoke further.

Sophie didn’t inquire more.

Because both of them clearly understood that this method was actually very simple: they just needed to find the conclusive evidence themselves. As long as there’s evidence, this obvious violation of the ’Stargate Declaration’ would allow the military to use it as an excuse to intervene in the southern situation.
