Pillar of Yita

She found it somewhat amusing, thinking that this person truly had guts.

At this moment, she actually recognized that the opponent was from Ragnarok, but with so many members in Ragnarok’s branches, it was impossible for her to know everyone. Despite all that, the top ten guilds were all domestic alliance guilds, and since the opponent had challenged her—

She, of course, had to respond seriously.

She raised her sword, its blade covered in a silver flame.

”Strength Burst,” Sophie murmured in her heart, ”should be enough, right?” she thought. The magic guided reactor behind the Princess of Silver Weslan glowed faintly, with golden patterns tracing up along her magic guided armor.

Until they merged into the sword blade.

A cold flash of light.

”Silver Pegasus!”

Dark Fairy Tale suddenly felt his hair stand on end, not because of anything else, but because he wondered if he was seeing things wrong— The unique wing-overlaid shape of the silver magic guided reactor behind Sophie seemed to be the legendary limited edition reactor from the Holy Sanctuary of Rotao, worth 1.5 million Lycel.

Something every knight dreams of—

Only thirteen units of this have ever been produced, meant for use by Paladin and Guard Knights under level 20, with every owner being an extraordinary person.

He thought he might be hallucinating, but as an elite of Ragnarok, he hadn’t yet made the naive mistake of those older knights. Jolted awake by surprise, seeing the other slash him with the sword, he raised his pair of short swords to block.

Rangers, unlike Crossbow Shooters, can attack both remotely and up close, but their melee skills are far inferior to their ranged abilities.

Dark Fairy Tale knew well that a knight’s first strike almost always came with a holy lock; trying to evade was just asking for trouble. Although his melee capabilities were poor, deflecting just one sword should be no problem.

But he immediately widened his eyes.

As he saw the opponent’s strike come down, his pair of short swords shattered upon impact— Blade Break Power, this wasn’t a knight’s ability but a rare passive skill plugin. He suddenly recalled what it was when he saw the golden guide on the opponent’s armor.

Power Burst IV ’Comet-Ve’ type, not to mention the price of just this plugin, matched his entire fortune.

And this plugin was a technology unique to Silver Weslan.

He suddenly looked up, finding the opponent more and more familiar— finally realizing whom he had challenged head-on. This realization nearly made him want to bash his head against a rock— The unbeatable front-line battle of Silver Weslan.

And he had challenged the Princess of this generation of Silver Weslan.

Dark Fairy Tale almost shed tears; if this were posted on the community, it might make the Top 10 Eteliria Foolish Moves of the month.

But foolish as it was, he wasn’t so eager to die, dropping his short swords and retreating, pulling off the necklace around his neck, shouting: ”Evade!” The evasion necklace would give him a chance to get out of the opponent’s attack range, and Dark Fairy Tale hoped it would give him a better direction.

He still had a hostage, and the opponent wasn’t Marlan’s paladin, so they had to heed the knight’s code somewhat.

But what blacked out his vision was.

The necklace hadn’t even emitted a single flash to envelop him, and the opponent’s armor was already gleaming brightly, pinning him in place. ”Anchoring Gauntlets...” Dark Fairy Tale felt like crying.

He had seen these gauntlets, priced at 1.2 million Lycel on the black market.

Dark Fairy Tale plopped down into the snow.

Undoubtedly, he had lost his last chance— yet what frustrated him beyond measure was that he felt he hadn’t lost to his opponent’s skill.

But was purely crushed by money...

”You lost.” Sophie sheathed her sword. After all, Silver Weslan and Ragnarok were domestic alliance guilds, unlike with the Alchemist; she couldn’t go so far as to kill indiscriminately and simply said so.

But as Dark Fairy Tale was about to say something, he suddenly heard a distant scream.

”Stay back!”

It was the voice of the priest in his team.

The two simultaneously turned back, only to see the Iron Guard named Aille fall into the snow, his head lying to one side, with blood all around. Clearly, it hadn’t been Fang Hong who did this, as the latter stood motionless at the other end of the valley, watching from afar.

And not far from the Ragnarok’s Iron Guard and Priest—

Was a young girl.

With jet-black hair and golden pupils, in the harsh winter, she wore nothing but a black dress, swaying in the wind.

The girl seemed not to hear the priest’s words, nor see anyone in the valley; her gaze was fixed in one direction before she slowly walked forward. As she passed by the priest, the latter suddenly screamed and collapsed on the ground.

Then, black flames engulfed him.

Turning him to ash in an instant.
