Pillar of Yita

That means they won’t have any more support for a while.

”Did she even anticipate that block...?”

A possibility suddenly flashed in Dark Fairy Tale’s mind. As the captain of the Adventure Group, he hesitated for the first time.

But if Fang Hong were here, he would surely inform the other party kindly that this was purely overthinking. Because this is simply Miss Maid’s usual combat style, she goes all out from the start; it’s more of a Berserker than a Fighter.

Of course, the other side isn’t just reckless. In fact, her other advantage, even from Fang Hong’s perspective, ranks among the top of the Invokers he’s seen, though she often resolves opponents in one hit, making it seldom seen in daily life.

In fact, during regular training, Xiesta abuses him and Luo Yu to their limits in sparring, and when Miss Maid strikes, she’s far scarier than the patient Big Cat People.

But Dark Fairy Tale doesn’t know all this.

He merely sudden realized there wasn’t much room for retreat; the target was right there, and if he didn’t complete the task, he would likely return as a laughing stock. Moreover, the other party’s Level was roughly Level 20, just as originally expected.

With determination, he raised his hand and shouted, ”She’s used Overload, now she’s in a weakened state, surround her!”

Xiesta slightly retreated, lowering her hand. In the cold wind, white mist circled between metal leaves, and snow fell into it, instantly melting away.

Hundreds of meters away, a Clockwork Fairy hovered in the snowy wind and softly switched the lens view with a ’click.’

Actually, Dark Fairy Tale didn’t need to give the order. After all, everyone in the Ragnarok team was experienced veterans, and two Swordsmen—including one Two-Handed Swordsman and a Musketeer—had already moved in from front and back.

Their sword skills were indeed exquisite; Great Cross Slash, Small Cross Slash, Vertical Chop, Cleave, skills of the Swordsmen came naturally, without the awkwardness often seen in ordinary Invoker’s swordsmanship transitions.

With systematic support, their sword skills had almost reached the level of native sword fighters of many years, aside from being a bit formalistic; there wasn’t much lacking.

But quickly, they felt a shiver run down their spines.

Probably due to the Magic Guided Reactor Overload and mana deficiency, Miss Maid didn’t initiate another rush attack. Yet her defense was flawless.

Some defensive actions were simplified to the point of omission, just a casual placement, and the massive arm armor steadily blocked the swordsmen’s swords. Miss Maid barely moved significantly, taking a gentle step back to disperse the offensive.

Sword blades crossed, sparks flew, seemingly blocking a swift attack round, yet Xiesta’s expression remained unchanged.

What chilled the two was, of course, Ragnarok had various specialized training, they had experienced fights with Fighters, but Xiesta’s movements appeared non-standard to them—

Yet they simply couldn’t breach her defense.

”Her balance is too high!”

”Someone get behind her to distract her.”

”Any spells?”

The two shouted sternly.

If Luo Yu, Parker, and others were present, they might laugh out loud. Miss Maid had an innate talent for combat, even the Big Cat People remarked that her balance and reaction ability were extraordinary; offensively, she might not always break through the defense of same-level opponents.

But in defense, those below Level 25 couldn’t easily force her to retreat.

Miss Maid dared to open-handedly attack, naturally she had support; in fact, during the battle with Dolifen, she demonstrated this trait clearly. After several more combats and guidance from the Big Cat People, Miss Maid became more seasoned in such tactics.

The group privately nicknamed her ’Iron Wall Maid,’ which, of course, in every sense, wasn’t only regarding the ’iron wall.’

And the suffering Fang Hong, Luo Yu, and Parker endured during daily training, now finally others could experience it.

”Blood Wings,” Dark Fairy Tale turned to call upon the Elementalist in the group, ”Prepare a spell, you’re a Water-Wind System Elementalist, this place suits your abilities.”

The latter nodded, stepped forward, raised a hand, and within two to three seconds, an Empty Crystal appeared in his hand.

The young man lying on the ground saw this, feeling somewhat anxious. Though it’s just a first-tier crystal, the opponent’s speed in gathering elements was somewhat impressive too.

He’s obviously a professional Elementalist.

He instinctively looked towards the combat-engaged Miss Maid, hoping she’d notice the Elementalist hidden in the shadows—unfortunately, it appeared she hadn’t, as Xiesta was extremely focused on the task at hand.

He opened his mouth to call out, but another Magic Guided Conductor had evidently been monitoring this direction, as the Ice Golem Statue pressed down, burying his head in the snow, only letting him emit muffled sounds.

Dark Fairy Tale felt uneasy, while directing others to circumvent the little girl, simultaneously fitted an Entangling Arrow to his bow, prepared to interfere with Xiesta’s movements. Although his own were in melee range, he calculated well, as the Entangling Arrow doesn’t cause fatal harm, mildly affecting allies; even a missed shot wouldn’t cause major issues.

Besides, he was very confident in his archery.

But just as he drew his bow, a faint warning crossed his mind, prompting him to instinctively sidestep. In the distance, a flash of fire was accompanied by a gunshot, as a bullet pierced the wind and snow, hitting the spot where he stood moments ago.
