Pillar of Yita

”Today you just dealt with half their squad, didn’t you know?” Sophie looked at this guy with a hint of amusement: ”Didn’t I tell you about this?”

Fang Hong opened his mouth wide, as if he’d been hit by a petrification magic: ”Wait a minute, the ones we dealt with today were Ragnarok’s people?”

”Well, who else?”

”But, but aren’t they Shadow Throne people?” These past few days, he of course had already figured out what the black flame emblem represented, which guild it belonged to. He just never expected that the ones he fought today were actually from Ragnarok.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but wipe his sweat; the opponent was tougher than he imagined, at least harder than dealing with Rain Listener and Blood Oath Alliance members. He thought it was because the southern guilds generally were stronger.

”That’s Ragnarok’s Elite Corps, at least the reserves.”

”Are Ragnarok’s people really that weak?” Fang Hong asked, sweating heavily, clearly this realization was quite outside his expectations. In his mind, the members of Ragnarok were practically invincible and omnipotent.

Of course, that’s the Second World’s Ragnarok Elite Brigade — Valhalla.

Sophie couldn’t help but smile: ”Make sure Odin doesn’t hear you say that, or he’ll definitely kill you.”

The name Odin evidently carried a lot of weight.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but instinctively glance outside the door, seemingly worried that one of the warrior Ten Kings was standing there.

However, their conversation clearly stunned the swordsmen a bit.

Chatting and joking while managing to take down a Ragnarok Elite Corps was somewhat beyond their comprehension, but thinking carefully, it was normal for Silver Weslan people to have such strength, wasn’t it?

Yet a few couldn’t help but sit up a little straighter.

Afraid they’d carelessly annoy these people and get executed on the spot.

Sophie noticed their tension, smiled and reassured them: ”Don’t worry, our captain is gentle with his own people, especially girls — but then what? The information you mentioned is from a few months ago, I know some... but what about after that?”

The Iron Defender girl glanced at the others before nodding in response: ”After the rebellion failed, the nobles, in order to maintain their status, had no choice but to compromise. And those who rose to power naturally leaned towards the Prime Minister’s side...”

”After clipping those peripheral wings, the Royal Household began to target the three pillars of the Alchemist Alliance...”

”Three pillars?” Tianlan asked curiously.

”Tianlan, don’t interrupt.” Fang Hong glared at her.

But he still took the initiative to explain the origins of the three pillars of the southern Alchemist Alliance, which were actually the three ancient noble families at the establishment of the guild — namely the Westwood Sibika family, the Phoenix Family, and the Elvin Family.

Among them, the Westwood Sibika family as the founders of the Rose Workshop is naturally noteworthy. The Phoenix Family is the oldest noble family in the Southern Region, the legend of the Phoenix Holy Sword and the First Generation Duke Phoenix is known by both the natives in the north and south and the Chosen.

Moreover, the first generation head of the Modkaesar Family was one of the founders of Colin Ishurian, a status considered extraordinary.

The last family, the Elvin Family, is the most mysterious; it is an Elementalist family, having produced several Court Mages of Colin Ishurian. Even before Sir Roban, the previous Court Mage of the Kingdom was a descendant of this family.

The Elvin Family usually has little involvement in the Kingdom’s affairs, naturally staying independent within Colin Ishurian’s political landscape, a position usually unchanged. This time, the Royal Household targeting the Southern Region naturally overlooked this political entity.

Despite their being an indispensable member of the Southern Alchemist Alliance.

”Actually, our mission relates to this matter as well.” The swordsman suddenly spoke.

The Iron Defender girl nodded upon hearing this: ”After the Southern Region Alliance and Alchemist Alliance were left vulnerable, we, of course, understood. But the Elvin Family kept neutral, so we could only count on the Phoenix Family and the Westwood Sibika’s Rose Family...”

”...so when the Prime Minister’s side targeted the Westwood Sibika family, we suddenly received a commission from the alliance to escort Miss Delice northward.” The Iron Defender girl’s voice grew hoarse, and she couldn’t help clenching her fists. ”Even though everyone tried so hard, surprisingly... we were still a step too late.”

Upon hearing about this mission, Fang Hong couldn’t help but ask: ”Heading north, what was the goal?”

”We’re not really sure,” the swordsman replied: ”It’s Miss Delice father’s commission, he promised that as long as we safely got Miss Delice to Golande, and found those people, ’Rose Workshop’ would join our side.”

The Bald Martial Monk also said: ”Actually, this mission involves more than just our guild and team, we were the smallest target, so it’s easy to mistake — thus Miss Delice hid among us...”

But Fang Hong frowned, feeling a bit puzzled.

”Find those people?”

”Specifically, I’m not quite sure, but Chairman Resonance told us, it should be Westwood Sibika family’s aid, possibly their familial allies or something of the sort... but we can’t really figure out the noble’s relationships...” the swordsman shook his head.

Fang Hong instinctively thought of someone.

Hilveld’s father.

Although Sir Mawei was missing, one of his fleet had already arrived at Golande, and there should be plenty of his old subordinates there.

Hilveld had mentioned this to him, but the Royal Household had such tight surveillance over the fleet, that she didn’t choose to meet with those old subordinates while in Golande.

Sophie then asked: ”Isn’t Miss Delice’s father, Count Westwood already under house arrest? How can the Westwood Family help you in their dire state?”

Since the mission had failed, the group no longer concealed anything, the swordsman directly replied:

”Miss Delice’s father should already be free; as long as he remains, ’Rose Workshop’ will stand by us... of course, that depends on the Southern Region Alliance still existing.”

After speaking, he sighed deeply.

”What?” Fang Hong was surprised; he had promised Hilveld to rescue Delice’s father, but hadn’t expected to hear he was already free: ”Count Westwood freed?”

The swordsman nodded.

”It was likely Chairman Ye Hua who rescued him personally.”

He replied: ”The reason Chairman Ye Hua hasn’t appeared was because of this.”
