Pillar of Yita

In Ragnarok, there are naturally many such skills and experiences, which have been summarized into a manual known as the Basic Tactical Manual of Ragnarok, commonly shared between the main and branch offices, but classified into different confidentiality levels.

And the three principles for countering Flexible Constructs are naturally vital lessons within their level, primarily used to combat Combat Artisans. Since Combat Artisans have exceptional combat prowess in the First World and are frequently encountered by the Grand Guilds in conflicts, this manual is repeatedly emphasized.

And Blood Wings remembers them quite clearly.

First principle for countering Flexible Constructs: attack the Combat Artisan directly, not the construct.

Second principle: the smaller the construct, the higher its mobility; the larger the construct, the poorer its balance. (Note: except for the Dragon Knight Rigging)

Third principle: constructs always have blind spots, and until the Crafting Heart is acquired, there’s always a disconnect between blind spots and movements.

Blood Wings couldn’t find Fang Hong’s location, so the first principle naturally doesn’t apply here—however, he suddenly realized that he could utilize the second and third principles. The blind spots of the Fearless One are well-known, and since it’s a humanoid construct, its attack orientation is primarily forward, so most Sensing Crystal devices are distributed on the front side.

Although there are some in the rear, roughly twenty-five degrees on the sides behind are blind spots, within which no matter what the Combat Artisan does, it’s difficult to account for.

Only a Second World Combat Artisan like the King of Grey FOX, with the Crafting Heart, could completely eliminate the impact of blind spots.

Furthermore, the attack continuity of constructs is a consistent issue for First World artisans. The difficulty in operating Flexible Constructs always troubles this profession until the Combat Artisan reaches a sufficient level to acquire a series of skills.

This problem is particularly pronounced with larger constructs—

Compared to it, instead, it’s the Magic Guided Iron Golem automaton that is more flexible at lower levels.

Of course, in the trainee camp, mentors repeatedly emphasize this point—these experiences are only applicable in the First World and don’t always work for top Combat Artisans.

But it’s sufficient. Generally speaking, by the time they face top Invokers, they have a wealth of understanding and comprehension of their profession and combat in Eteliria, so they no longer need these rigid principles.

These principles, at least for Ragnarok members in the First World battles, are still quite applicable.

”Wait, I have an idea,” Blood Wings suddenly thought, sending a message to the Dark Fairy Tale: ”This construct is huge, so its balance must be poor. We might try to incapacitate it; do you still have Entangling Arrows?”

Larger constructs have poorer balance—this principle doesn’t mean giant constructs will necessarily fall plain, but it implies that due to excessive self-weight, once their center of gravity shifts, they easily lose balance.

And the resulting consequences are much more severe than a Clockwork Fairy falling to the ground.

Blood Wings plans to exploit the discontinuity in the opponent’s attacks, entering the opponent’s blind spot.

Thus, the giant Knight Construct has to maneuver to find his position, at which point he only needs one spell, plus a crucial Entangling Arrow from Dark Fairy Tale, to leverage the situation dramatically.

Of course, the Elementalist naturally has confidence, the first priority being to avoid the opponent’s initial strike, and he happens to have such a reliance.

Blood Wings suddenly thought that Yin Shi also isn’t without such opportunities, but the opponent surprisingly hadn’t thought of this point—they claim to be the calmest in their team, yet appear to be just so.

In the communication channel, the Dark Fairy Tale asked: ”But the blizzard is too fierce, I might not be able to see your side.”

”Ville can see it,” Blood Wings immediately realized and hurriedly responded.

He saw the massive construct in a full-face mask suddenly light up with two points of golden light, raising the spear, striding towards him. He was startled and said loudly: ”He reminded me before, he must be able to see this side, perhaps he can provide you with the position—”

”I can.”

The communication channel transmitted in the deep voice of Iron Guard.

Dark Fairy Tale remained silent for a moment before nodding slightly. The pressure on his side was quite considerable too, since Xiesta and Bakins broke free and launched a raid on him and the City Defense Force together, posing a significant threat.

Those level ten soldiers are fundamentally no match for the opponent, relying on two Knights to stabilize the situation.

And the other elusive Crossbow Shooter is also causing headaches. It’s not that the opponent’s shooting skills are particularly outstanding, but that chap just behaves like a mouse, suppressing the opponent several times yet unable to pinpoint the exact location.

And once his focus shifts, the opponent resumes ranged shooting.

Dark Fairy Tale almost wanted to curse, is this actually a Nightingale or a Crossbow Shooter? Is there such a cowardly Crossbow Shooter?

”Boss, please,” Blood Wings also steadied his heart, clutching his Magic Wand, stood up against the giant Knight Construct. He muttered something, seemingly talking to others, yet also like muttering to himself: ”Just need a few seconds—”
