Pillar of Yita

Fang Hong fell silent. He had already heard this piece of history once from Miya, but hearing it from the mouth of the Little Princess of Silver Weslan offered yet another perspective.

”Although Silver Weslan is also a member of the Grand Guild, what we truly value is justice,” Sophie turned back and said: ”But actually, Silver Weslan is all right. If you get the chance, you might meet the upper echelons of Elite.”

”Elite?”

”You might not know the background behind the founding of Elite. It has now almost surpassed us, Silver Weslan, and become the largest domestic guild,” Sophie answered: ”But before it became famous, not many people actually knew about this guild.”

Fang Hong was taken aback for a moment; it seemed to be true. The rise of Elite was just like a sudden comet. When it first appeared on the list of top ten guilds, hardly anyone in the community could explain the origins of this guild.

But at that time, Elite was already ranked sixth among domestic guilds and quickly proceeded to challenge Silver Weslan, creating a whirlwind in the circles of Invokers and their fans.

There were countless speculations about the origins of this guild. Some even believed that Elite was a covert arm of the military because their training methods were quite similar to those in the Stargate Port military.

Sophie continued: ”The person who usually represents Elite is their vice-chairman, Virus. She’s an ice-cold beauty. Oh, you should have met her when you were at Fenris last time.”

Fang Hong nodded.

”Hardly anyone has seen their chairman, yet he has a codename outside, known as ’R’,” she paused: ”There are even rumors that ’R’ isn’t in the Second World, hasn’t even entered the Stargate, and is just directing remotely from outside...”

”But this rumor might not be true, because I have concrete information that this person called ’R’ should have at least participated in the first Battle of Mount Holy Pact at that time.”

”...And they were one of the main cores of the Free Summoner Resistance Alliance. Later, the Super Competitive League didn’t trouble him further, likely because the military protected these individuals. That’s also why there’s so much speculation about Elite’s connections with the military...”

But those later words.

Fang Hong didn’t catch a word.

He just opened his mouth wide and asked: ”R?”

”What’s wrong?” Sophie was startled and looked at him curiously.

But inside Fang Hong, waves of shock surged. He didn’t know whether this R had any connection with the person on the community or if this R was the young man who once fought shoulder to shoulder with Lonely White Field.

But the possibility was significant.

The person in his memory had such extraordinary skills that if not a retired super celebrity player, he could only be one of the top Invokers in the Second World. And there aren’t many top Invokers; how could it be such a coincidence that there are two people with the same name?

As the chairman of Elite, is he qualified as a top Invoker?

Certainly more than qualified.

But to Sophie’s question, he only shook his head.

This was a secret between him and that person, only shared with Lonely White Field because they were once teammates with that person, but he had promised that person not to tell their story to more people.

In fact, even though he considered that person one of his mentors, the other had never acknowledged him as a student.

”Just surprised, that’s all.” Fang Hong replied.

The Little Princess of Silver Weslan didn’t really understand, and she just smiled: ”Surprises are no surprise; what would be surprising is if there were no surprises.”

”So,” Fang Hong asked again: ”Elite and the Super Competitive League don’t get along well?”

”Of course not,” Sophie replied: ”Elite has been at odds with the League for years, but it never breaks the rules, and the League can’t get hold of any dirt on it. They can only play a few petty tricks, such as reducing the number of slots in competitions, opponent placements, promotion windows, and practice match arrangements...”

At this, she couldn’t help but smile: ”But unfortunately, Elite is too strong; these little tricks are nothing compared to its solid strength. The Super Competitive League really has no way to deal with it.”

Fang Hong listened, filled with admiration and thought it’s no wonder so many people like Elite. If he had such strength, he wouldn’t have to be hiding like this.

Of course, that was just a thought.

His little team couldn’t even compare to a border guild in Eteliria, let alone the top guild ranked number one domestically.

Sophie also sighed: ”In truth, the Southern Region isn’t the problem, it’s the chain reaction that concerns me. There’s also the Colin Ishurian East Commonwealth in Scepter Bay, and if the East Commonwealth has issues too, the guild system in the China Competition Region could be in big trouble...”

Fang Hong didn’t think that far.

At most, he thought of Luo Yu and Gita’s guild—Tabopolis Oak Knights, and at this time, Yugudola and their folks should also be facing the same predicament. He didn’t know whether they would eventually reach this point.

Nor whether it would affect their little Adventure Group.

But these matters were too far-off for them; Sophie viewed it from the perspective of Silver Weslan, while for the Seven Seas Travel Group, the issues of the Southern Region were clearly more worrisome at present.

As for him personally, he certainly hoped that before any trouble arose, his group could quickly complete their plans and then successfully head to Mist Fjord, where they could start building the Seven Seas Traveler.
