Pillar of Yita

In the snow not far away.

The young Magic Guided Conductor was being pulled up from the ground by the Ice Golem, which then tossed him aside, stepping on and breaking his Magic Guided Wand, and then turned towards the battlefield.

Yin Shi clearly realized as well that the battle wasn’t as easy as he had imagined. If he didn’t join the fight, the situation might remain in a stalemate for a while.

However, just as he raised his Magic Guided Wand to control his Ice Puppet, he paused suddenly. In the corner of his vision, he unexpectedly saw someone retreating.

This surprised him. Ragnarok had gone through a period of decline, but under Odin’s remolding, the whole team had developed a style—namely, even if they weren’t a match for their enemies, Ragnarok would never retreat easily.

Under the guidance of that legendary warrior, Ragnarok finally ushered in a new era of glory, jumping back to fifth place in the domestic top ten guild rankings.

But the battle had just started, so why was someone already flinching?

Yin Shi turned his head and found that it wasn’t their people retreating, but that Alchemist. He was momentarily dumbfounded and shouted at the other, ”What are you doing?” He was puzzled because, though they had suffered a minor setback, they still had the upper hand.

Why on earth was this guy running away?

The Apprentice Alchemist hadn’t expected to be discovered, shaking his head with a grim face, ”Nothing.”

”You’re planning to run away, aren’t you?”

”No,” the young man quickly shook his head, ”I’m just afraid of being caught in the crossfire.”

Yin Shi shook his head, scoffing inwardly, thinking these small guild people were too useless, frightened by the slightest scene. But how could he know what the other was thinking at that moment? In fact, the young Alchemist had already thought of retreating the moment their attack was hindered.

Because the Alchemist suddenly remembered something.

Among the people he had seen on the platform, there weren’t only the Miss Maid and the old sailor named Bakins. In fact, there was also at least a Lion Paladin and an Elf Druid among them.

They even had a Natural Historian.

And that Combat Artisan hadn’t even made a move.

At present, Ragnarok’s people were struggling with just these two individuals, what about the others? The young Alchemist couldn’t help but feel his scalp tingle at the thought. Although he had been full of confidence before, at this moment, he vaguely felt that Ragnarok might have been boasting a bit too much.

Though he thought so, he was worried about Ragnarok’s wrath, not knowing how to speak up — his plan to run away was discovered by Yin Shi, so he could only stand there miserably, hoping he was wrong.

Meanwhile, the other people on the scene weren’t thinking so much.

In the battle, the scales seemed to be tipping—

The Uncrowned Crown, tossed into the snow, coughed twice before getting up again, blood streaming down from his forehead—in his dark red vision, he saw the Elementalist about to finish casting a spell, the Elemental Crystal in their hand now exceptionally bright.

He opened his mouth, but it was too late for a warning now, and it would only distract the Miss Maid. Without the Magic Guided Wand, he couldn’t rejoin the combat. Even though the Magic Guided professions in Eteliria had strong combat abilities, they were equally fragile.

On another side of the battlefield, the Musketeer who appeared before had also vanished, merely leading away the opponent’s Commander.

He clenched his fist, as if trying to stand up forcefully, but immediately fell heavily to the ground again. He raised his head in the snow spray, blinking, then suddenly froze.

He widened his eyes.

A banner appeared amidst the wind and snow, fluttering vigorously.

On it was a golden phoenix soaring with wings outspread—

The Dulun City Guards had arrived, didn’t that mean the rest of the group was...? The Uncrowned Crown’s heart sank; he had some hope in his heart, but at this moment, his heart felt like it was plummeting down an abyss.

More and more soldiers were slowly emerging from the wind and snow, far more than the one squad Lord Baron of Tulip Fortress had told Fang Hong about before.

At least in the Uncrowned Crown’s vision, there were already twenty or thirty people, with more behind them. Two Knight Captains led these soldiers, trudging through the wind and snow, holding blood-stained Longswords, and they all looked up at the high Beast of Burden and the platform in the valley...

The two knights, both nobles of Dulun, wearing thick black fur coats, asked in a gruff voice, ”Holy Choosers?”

It wasn’t just soldiers walking out from the wind and snow.

Lying on the ground, the Uncrowned Crown also saw Bakins being forced back.

The elder sailor looked a bit helplessly at Xiesta — If he had known there were so many people hiding behind the wind and snow, he would have come out a little later, using the Crossbow Cannon on the platform.

At least it would have held out a bit longer.

The Dark Fairy Tale, with a dark face, walked out together with the two knights, carrying someone, and threw them to the ground; the latter dressed in Nightingale garb, but with an extra bloody cut on the throat.

The Nightingale showed no sign of life, with a faint white light of resurrection emanating from the body and slowly dissipating in the wind and snow.

The Dark Fairy Tale then nodded, ”We are with Ragnarok. Lord Baron sent us to find you.”
