Pillar of Yita

She caressed the leather suitcase beside her bed, and as for the design blueprint of this ship, Fang Hong had actually seen it more than once.

Hilveld continued, ”That blueprint actually didn’t come from the Rose Workshop, but they obtained it by chance. The existence of the Fairy-type Dragon Knight has also been an unresolved mystery in people’s hearts.”

”But before my father left, he told me that the crystal of the Fairy-type Dragon Knight actually exists in this world.”

Fang Hong asked, ”... Is this the reason you found me?”

Hilveld nodded slightly.

She then smiled, ”To meet Lord Captain is also a pleasant surprise for me.”

”Actually, when I went to Traveler’s Rest, it was just to meet with an Artisan Master who was presiding over a contest at the time. He was once a craftsman aboard my father’s ship, and I hoped to get help from him.”

”But he also made it clear to me that a Fairy-type Dragon Knight probably doesn’t exist. The ’Seven Seas Traveler’—it would always be just a beautiful wish.”

”I wasn’t surprised by this answer. Before him, I had also sought out many others—and those masters who had been friendly with my father also refused to cooperate with me because of my status.”

”Of course, I don’t blame them; after all, they have their own families and careers—and the fact that those people did not reveal my identity to the Royal Household is something I am already grateful for.”

”Actually, before I met Lord Captain, I was at my wits’ end, determined to gamble everything. I planned to venture to the second world alone, with no certainty of success in my heart...”

”And I didn’t expect that at that moment, I would meet the one ’destined’ for me—the Fairy Knight who exists only in the realm of possibility.”

”Lord Captain, you.”

Hilveld said softly.

Her expression was calm and indifferent.

It was like finding a gemstone among the grains of sand, shining brightly after countless searches at the ultimate moment.

And more importantly, the big boy actually made her a promise—although at that time, she only believed that some promises in this world were as flimsy as paper, easily torn.

But at this moment, the Noble Lady looked at her captain, whose eyes were as bright and blue as the shallow sea, seemingly embracing everything.

She continued:

”As for Mr. Kid, that’s another story. My father’s notes indicated that there’s an obelisk beneath the Abyssal Sea outside Gula Port, and over the years, I’ve also found a way to get there.”

”After narrowly escaping with my life, I started to discreetly contact some old subordinates who had been loyal to my father and anonymously recruited adventurers at the Adventurers’ Guild. Of course, I didn’t expect that among the many self-introductions I received, there would be a response from Giant Tree Hill.”

”Mr. Kid entered my vision then. Not only because he was the only adventurer from Colin Ishurian—even from beyond the Cloud Sea Region—but more importantly, he mentioned in his letter that he had seen a similar obelisk when he was young.”

”That obelisk should be in the Giant Tree Hill area.”

”For this reason, I had him join our team...”

”You found the obelisk beneath the Abyssal Sea? What happened after that, and why did Kid die in Traveler’s Swamp, and his Starlight...”

Hilveld shook her head.

”Actually, that’s exactly the second reason I went to Traveler’s Rest. Because the first cooperation went smoothly, Mr. Kid, myself, and others agreed to embark on a second adventure half a year later. The destination of this adventure was actually Fenris Isle—”

”In fact, Princess Briana’s presence there was to repay a favor to my father, to secretly transport us to Fenris. But what I didn’t expect was that someone would hire Mr. Kid and the others before me and head deep into Traveler’s Swamp...”

Fang Hong gaped slightly.

”So, the rumor of an obelisk deep in the Traveler’s Swamp wasn’t released by you?”

”Of course not.”

Hilveld shook her head again, ”In recent days, Princess Briana and I have also been investigating this matter, and we don’t even confirm whether there is really an obelisk in the Traveler’s Swamp, or what the real intention of the rumor spreader is—just that soon afterward, I met you and Miss Atira.”

Fang Hong was silent for a long time.

Then he finally asked, ”Why tell me all this now?”

But Hilveld just smiled gently.

”Because a lost little ship must always return to the fleet...”

”I’ve done some wrong things in the past, and naturally, I need to ask forgiveness from this master. So, may I have your Ship’s Officer Miss rejoin the ranks, Lord Captain?”

Her voice was soft, almost pleading.

The hall of the inn was somewhat noisy—

Fang Hong was still reflecting on the things Hilveld had told him earlier in the day. His thoughts were jumbled and muddled.

Hilveld had said more than once that one day, she would reveal to him all her secrets. But he hadn’t expected that day to come so suddenly, nor had he expected her background to be so complicated and extraordinary.

For the team, this might be a good thing, as everyone was harboring too many secrets, which could one day steer the ’ship’ in an unpredictable direction.
