Pillar of Yita

Of course, this mere Level 14 skill was not truly invincible. First of all, the Block Value of the shield and the Protective Value of the barrier had resistance that could effectively resist explosive damage. Moreover, as long as one moved slightly away from the center of the explosion, the damage would exponentially decrease.

Generally speaking, medium-sized characters (humans) of Level 20 and above, if equipped and prepared, could easily avoid this strike. And those above Level 15, if prepared, would at most only suffer moderate damage as long as they were not near the center of the blast.

Just like the earlier Dragon’s Servants, after suffering heavy losses in the first and second round of explosions, their casualty rate subsequently dropped significantly. Of course, the repelling effect of the Fire Giant was top-notch. After all, with its theoretical damage being top-level, who wouldn’t try to avoid it?

Those who didn’t share this thought had all turned into ashes.

Like the members of the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team right now.

The explosion originated in their center, and before anyone could react, those at the very heart were vaporized and those further out were turned into char. After the intense flash and shockwave of the explosion, only five or six people on the very outskirts were blown away, slamming into the walls, and left half-dead.

Dizzy and groaning on the ground, they hadn’t caught their breath when Fang Hong and Hilveld drew their handguns. From left and right, they fired, sending these people on their way.

The person in charge from the BBK Alliance watched this scene, dumbfounded.

It wasn’t until an officer beside him said teasingly, ”The Jiefulite Red Cloak Team is not bad, much tidier than the previous Dragon’s Servants. They didn’t waste any time at all, benefiting both the country and the people.”

Furious upon hearing this, the person in charge’s complexion alternated between green and white as he protested, ”...I object, the members of my division had already lost their ability to resist after the first round of attack, this is a blatant disregard for humanity and the rules of war...”

He rambled on about the ”Geneva Convention” and such, filling the hall with a jubilant atmosphere, but no one paid him any attention.

It was Ambassador Liao who finally couldn’t stand it and interrupted kindly, ”This is Eteliria,” the ”Geneva Convention” doesn’t apply in such situations. They are the enemy, and no derogatory actions were taken.”

”But...”

”Even under the rules of the Super Competitive League, you don’t have the upper hand.”

The person in charge opened his mouth but then turned sullen and spoke no more. He also didn’t have the face to stay any longer, so he rose to his feet and said, ”Regarding this matter, the guild still has some urgent tasks to handle. Since I can’t be of much help here, I’ll take my leave first.”

Ambassador Liao didn’t make it difficult for him and nodded. However, after the man left, a low laughter spread through the hall.

”Alright,” the ambassador clapped his hands, ”The state of emergency is not over yet, now is not the time to relax. Everyone, return to your posts and bring over the previous data.”

However, at that moment, Chenxi turned back and said to KUN not far away, ”It seems like it will be hard for them to outperform your team this year.”

KUN simply shook his head, not responding. Even without the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team, there were still the Black Cloaked Team or Blue Team. The survival of any guild in the Super Competitive League, if dependent on the opponents, would always be an unstable factor.

Seeing his thoughts, Chenxi, who was privately a good friend of his, didn’t say any more, understanding in his heart that the predicaments faced by the Silver Forest Crown couldn’t be changed by a mere Jiefulite Red Cloak Team.

Underground.

After Fang Hong and Hilveld cleaned up the scene, neither was a bloodthirsty person, but the current circumstances left them no choice but to act. Since they couldn’t contact the military to handle these people, and they didn’t have the time to argue, the weight of the situation was clear at a glance.

While Fang Hong bore a grudge against the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team, he didn’t bother to take out his anger on these incapacitated people—at least he wasn’t so petty. The Jiefulite Red Cloak Team could be shameless, but that didn’t mean he had to stoop to their level.

As for Hilveld, she remained as calm and rational as ever, acting naturally as if in agreement with him. Fang Hong couldn’t help but be reminded of the earlier scenes and her black-cloaked subordinates. She seemed not to be an ordinary heiress. Whether it was the Rose Family’s upbringing, her personality, or some other reason that shaped such a lady, he didn’t know.

Fang Hong only felt that the mystery surrounding her was growing.

But Hilveld didn’t think about all that. She changed the chambers of her Lion Handgun, reloading, and then walked by his side.

”Is the Captain alright?”

She was inquiring about Tata on Fang Hong’s shoulder.

The doll lady nodded gently.

Only then did Hilveld help Fang Hong to his feet and lead him into the corridor within the Pyramid.

It was a long, pitch-black passageway, and before long, they entered the Ritual Hall that Elisa and the Jiefulite group had previously passed through. The hall was empty, and they looked up to observe their surroundings. Only indistinct murals could be seen on the walls within the murky air of the underground, long since mottled beyond recognition.

In the silence of the dark, no one spoke, and the communication channels were also quiet.

Only a strange buzzing was heard, the Pyramid shuddered slightly, and the Puzzle Lock Barrier left by the Numelin Elves seemed only able to hold for a while. In the collapsing layers of Fenris Isle, it too would inevitably crumble to dust along with the outside at some point.
