Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Selecting the Camp Site

On the last day of travel, Serea led the team to a river, and by following it upstream, they found the ideal spot for their camp.

And this was all thanks to one person.

”My lord, this is the upper reaches of the Mohr River. The terrain is open and deep in the jungle, which suits your camp construction needs.”

The speaker was the undead mage named Leklis. After surrendering to Serea, leklis had acted as a guide, leading Serea and the others all the way here.

Looking at the wide open area of jungle, Serea nodded.

”Mm, I think this place will do. Lola, what do you think about setting up camp here?”

She asked Lola, who was traveling with her. Hearing this, Lola surveyed their surroundings before giving her assessment.

”Your Majesty, there’s a water source here and all the materials needed for building the camp can be gathered. The only issue is that the trees here are too dense. It will take a lot of labor to clear them if we want to set up a camp.”

”Labor, is it? Leave that to me. Anything else?”

”Nothing else. In fact, this is the best place for a camp that we’ve found along the way.”

”Good, then we’ll build our camp here. But we need to cross to the other side and go a bit deeper into the woods.”

With this in mind, Serea looked at Little Black beside her.

”Bring everyone over. We’re going to plan the construction of the camp and then get started right away.”

”Yes, Your Majesty.”

Little Black went off to inform the rest of the group.

Meanwhile, Serea didn’t stay idle. She led people across the river to choose a slightly more spacious spot, then pulled out a blueprint.

System: Unlocking the ’Skeleton Labor Platform (Purple)’ requires 200 Death Crystals, as well as a prerequisite building, ’Platform’ (occupying 200 square meters).

Looking at the blueprint of what looked like a command platform, Serea frowned.

”Why does it need so many Death Crystals?”

System: The Skeleton Labor Platform (Purple) is a second-tier building of the Undead Altar.

”Alright then.”

It was a bit expensive, but to build the camp quickly, the Skeleton Labor Platform was essential. Only with it could her skeletons accept more complex construction commands.

”Dogsius, my master builder, can you construct this type of building?”

Serea asked, and Dogsius’s voice sounded out.

”My master, you finally remembered me?”

”Cut the nonsense, can you do it or not?”

”Of course. But I’ll need a group of ’workers’ whom I can command.”

”The Skeleton Warriors can understand your orders. Let’s use them.”

”No problem. Then, miss Celia, I’ll have to borrow your body for a while.”

Dogsius said this, and Celia responded coldly, ”Suit yourself.”

As her words fell, Celia’s eyes were covered with a layer of purple light. All control over her body was now handed to Dogsius. After taking control, the first thing Dogsius did was...

”Master!”

Dogsius rushed over and, using Celia’s body, hugged Serea tightly, nuzzling in Serea’s arms like an overly affectionate kitten.

”Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?!”

”Ah? Doesn’t the master like being close to Miss Celia?”

”Who wants to be close like this! Get serious and start building!”

Serea yelled. At this, Dogsius had no choice but to let go.

Witnessing the two ”getting cozy” in broad daylight, Lola and Vina’s faces turned pink. They turned their heads, pretending they hadn’t seen anything. At this moment, Aruka, auna, and the Skeleton Warriors also arrived at Serea’s side.

”This really is a good place. Are we building the camp here?”

”Yes, but first we need some basic facilities. We’ll need Chief Aruka’s help.”

”Haha, that’s easy. Just say the word, queen Serea.”

”Please ask your tribespeople to help transport some timber over.”

”Leave it to us!”

Aruka agreed and led the werewolves off to fetch timber.

”Little Black, eighty, Little White, little Red, in a bit, take the Skeleton Warriors and follow Celia’s instructions to help her build the ’Skeleton Labor Platform’.”

”At your command, Your Majesty.”

”For now, since there’s no timber yet, go help transport it too.”

After issuing these orders, the Skeleton Warriors went to collect timber.

”Master, for now, timber is our only material, so the construction can only be wooden.”

”Wooden is fine. We don’t need to be picky right now. Let’s just get the camp built first.”

”No problem. Leave it to me.”

With Dogsius’s affirmation, Serea and the others quietly waited. Lola volunteered to go plant an Elf Tree, since only after the Elf Tree was revived could they continue producing Spring of Life.

For a while, everyone was busy. Soon, a large amount of timber was transported back. Serea had the Skeleton Warriors stay to build while the werewolves continued transporting timber.

”Let’s get started. First, dig the foundation, then...”

Under Celia (Dogsius)’s command, the Skeleton Warriors moved quickly: the foundation piles were set, the wooden platform was constructed, then a command tower was erected atop the platform, and lastly, a second-tier mana crystal was embedded into the command tower.

Watching the now-unusually-behaved Celia, Lola and Vina felt a little odd. Celia seemed like a completely different person, not knowing that there was a certain little fellow hiding inside her...

Thanks to the Skeleton Warriors’ high efficiency, the ’Skeleton Labor Platform’ was built in just two hours. Serea nodded in satisfaction at the command tower built from wooden racks.

System: The building matches requirements at 80 percent. Would you like to unlock construction of the ’Skeleton Labor Platform’?

”Yes.”

An 80% match for a wooden building was already quite high, and Serea wasn’t picky at the moment, so she immediately chose yes.

System: Unlocking construction, please wait...

Two hundred Death Crystals flew out, turning into a gray mist that poured into the base of the command tower. Seeing this, Lola and the others weren’t surprised anymore.

Next, a circular magic formation appeared. Countless bone fragments rose from the array, attaching themselves to the command tower. Within half a minute, the outer layer of the tower was wrapped in a shell of bones.

Building: Undead Labor Station (Purple)

Level: 10

Sturdiness: D

Durability: D

Magic: B

Description: A command platform infused with the power of death. It can temporarily grant basic intelligence to low-level undead and command them to perform complex production tasks and labor, but requires a qualified ’overseer’ specialized in these activities to supervise.

The Skeleton Labor Platform was finished. Everyone who had been working paused to look at this bizarre building made of wood and bones, curious as to why Queen Serea wanted such a structure.

Serea did not explain, instead opening the building’s management panel.

Skeleton Labor Platform (0/200)

It seemed it could control 200 Undead laborers at once. As she saw this number, the system notification sounded.

System: An ’overseer’ is required to command the skeletons for production work. Please select a suitable candidate to ascend the platform.
