Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Vampire

”What are you trying to do?”

Celia spoke up, while Serea had already returned to her usual self. Smiling, she looked at Celia and asked,

”You said before that if I helped you resurrect your Highness, then you would agree to any request I made, right?”

”That’s correct.”

Celia responded calmly. Upon hearing this, Serea revealed a mischievous smile.

”Very well, then I accept. As long as one day I possess the power to resurrect others, I will help you resurrect her. Remember these words—I will never go back on my promise!”

”!!!”

Hearing Serea’s words, Celia was a little surprised, but she quickly regained her composure.

”And your request?”

”My request is simple.”

As she spoke, Serea pinned Celia down with one hand, while using her other hand to grab a strand of Celia’s hair.

”Stay by my side. I am your Highness now. Even if the real Serea is resurrected, it’s the same—I don’t care whether she leaves or stays, but you must remain here, always as my knight and always obey my orders!”

”... Does your request have to be this?”

”Heh heh heh, haven’t you always called me a demon? When you ask a demon for help, shouldn’t you pay a price?”

As Serea finished speaking, Celia once again fell into contemplation.

For a full half minute, the two stared at each other, and in the end, her answer was,

”Alright.”

Receiving this answer, Serea’s body trembled suddenly. Staring at Celia’s cold face, she once again showed a meaningful smile.

”Then—”

As soon as she finished, Serea kissed Celia’s red lips, a gentle, fleeting touch.

”This is your ’knight’s vow’ to me.”

As for what would happen if the real Serea was resurrected...

She wouldn’t think about it!

Deal with it when the time came. For now, Celia was still her Celia, and she herself was Serea right now!

The two gazed at each other, both faces slightly flushed. Releasing Celia, Serea retreated a few steps.

”You won’t blame me, will you?”

”No.”

Celia calmly straightened her clothes. The Spring of Life had soaked her light armor, but she was still fine, since she was wearing light armor. Serea, on the other hand, was a different matter...

At the moment, Serea was only wearing the undergarments Celia lent her. The springwater clung to her body, and as a light breeze blew by, the soaked clothes plastered to her brought a slight chill.

Celia then promptly grabbed the elven cloth robe hanging on the wooden rack and draped it over Serea.

With that, Serea no longer felt cold, and she replied—

”Thank... Thank you, ah!”

But suddenly, Celia scooped Serea up in a princess carry, took a few steps, set her down on the bed, and then rummaged through the cupboard.

From her luggage, Celia took out some dry clothes and tossed them directly to Serea.

”Change after your body dries. Right now, your High... your body is very weak. If nothing else comes up, be sure to rest early.”

Celia said, and hearing this, Serea clutched the bathrobe around herself and curled into a ball.

”Okay...”

Serea obediently responded.

”I’ll go rest too. I’ll come by tomorrow morning to help with your treatment.”

”Alright.”

Celia left, and Serea watched her go. Just before Celia reached the door, she paused, took a moment, then said,

”At the very least, when it comes to being a troublemaker, you’re definitely a match for Her Highness. But from now on, I will do my best to assist you. Of course, there are many things you’ll need to grow on your own.”

Celia said. Hearing this, Serea paused, then laughed out loud.

”Don’t worry, I will!”

”Is that so? Then I’ll look forward to the day you possess such powerful strength.”

With that, Celia exited the wooden house.

And after earning the ’knight’s vow’, Serea felt very happy, as the crisis between her and Celia had been resolved.

For now, at least...

......

The long night passed uneventfully thanks to the Undead on guard, and Serea also slept very comfortably that night.

The next morning, when she saw Celia again, their relationship was no longer as strained as before. After Celia treated her, Serea washed, dressed, and got up. Today felt like a brand new day.

But...

When Serea saw the group of people dressed as elven maids standing in two rows in the wooden house, her mind drew a blank.

On the left, in order: Lola, Doluka.

On the right, in order: Vina, Dorulu, and behind them a timid-looking Camilla.

”Uh... What’s this about?”

Looking at the five, all dressed as elven maids, Serea was a bit confused by their antics. Was this some kind of elven maid troupe?

To this, Lola replied,

”Queen, now that you possess more subjects, you need more maids to fit your status.”

”Huh?”

At Lola’s answer, Serea thought for a moment.

Indeed, she now had about 150 Undead under her, around 70 elves, over 30 blood slaves and humans, plus over 80 werewolf allies on Aruka’s side.

Unknowingly, she had grown a lot, so having more maids wasn’t unacceptable. Actually, to correct herself, she was very happy to accept them!

But the key issue was...

Where did that ’Camilla’ sneak in from?

”She...”

Seeing Serea look toward Camilla, Lola explained,

”Queen, you bestowed this human girl with the noble power of the bloodline. This means you have acknowledged her.”

”The noble power of the bloodline?”

Serea recalled, and then remembered—she had made her drink from the Blood Spring (Corruption), so she should have already been converted into a blood slave. So, the ’noble power of the bloodline’ must refer to this.

Thinking this, Serea sized up the girl.

She saw that the girl had soft golden long hair, her former priest’s robe replaced by elven maid attire. The girl looked quite delicate, especially her light pink eyes.

But as Serea looked further, she became unsettled, because the ’noble power of the bloodline’ seemed not to mean ’blood slave’ strength, but—
