Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Crushing

Because the soul fire hidden beneath the armor was so faint, ross did not notice their abnormality.

The Skeleton Cavalry circled around to Little Black and the others, then charged together with them, drawing all the human soldiers’ attention.

”For the Queen!”

Little Black activated the Battle Cry buff, causing all the skeletons’ attributes to rise a notch. As they pursued the humans, several arrows were fired.

Power Shot, triple Shot!

Power Shot pierced through a foot soldier’s scale armor, while Triple Shot struck several weak spots in their armor.

Although the enemy’s armor limited the performance of Little White and the other archers, don’t forget—Serea’s squad also had a mage...

Fireball!

A wave of scorching heat swept over, and Ross looked back to see a massive fireball, a meter in diameter, barreling toward them.

”Get down!”

Boom!

Flames exploded. In order to avoid damaging the armor, little Red deliberately threw the fireball wide, and the explosion merely sent several people flying, rendering them temporarily incapable of fighting.

But when Ross and the others saw there was even a Skeleton Mage within the enemy’s ranks, their panic intensified. Taking advantage of this, Serea harvested another wave of Fear Crystals.

Finally, ross and his group merged with the Black Armor unit, while the skeletons had not yet caught up. They still had time to form a shield wall.

As long as they raised the shield wall, enemy cavalry would be of little use, and their own archers could strike at enemy ranged troops and mages from behind the wall. With their numbers, they might still have a chance!

Harboring this faint hope, ross led his team back to the ”Heavy Warrior Squad.”

By this time, the squad’s twenty ”men” had already readied their weapons.

Oh! Look at those sturdy shields, those magnificent greatswords, and those massive warhammers!

With his own heavy infantry arrived, the enemy had nothing left to feel smug about. Those skeletons couldn’t possibly defeat his heavy troops!

So Ross thought, and as they approached, the heavy infantry raised their weapons.

There’s still a chance, still time...

Whoosh!

A warhammer crashed out, a hammer weighing nearly two hundred pounds swung from the side. Seeing the hammer coming straight at him, ross froze; he raised his sword to block it, but the rapier in his hand was worthless before such absolute strength.

”Only women use swords. Real men should wield huge warhammers!”

This was absolute power crushing everything, true heavy armor and heavy combat!

With one strike, even though the men in front instantly raised their shields, the warhammer, carried by inertia, swept across with overwhelming force—nothing they could do could stop it.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Several shieldbearers were instantly smashed aside, but Ross fared even worse. The warhammer struck him square in the chest—crack—the sound of breaking bones. He was hurled against a giant tree, instantly losing all his fighting capability.

A level-18 Skeleton Heavy Warrior, with a single blow, sent a level-22 swordsman flying. Though there was an element of surprise, unfortunately, at close range, in front of a Heavy Warrior, everything else was just child’s play!

”Puh... Wh... Why!”

Blood spilled from Ross’s mouth. Looking at the Heavy Warrior who launched the sudden attack, he didn’t understand—wasn’t that his loyal subordinate?

No!

Seeing the faint flicker of soul fire behind the armored visor, ross was stunned. He looked at the other ”Heavy Warrior Squad” members—they no longer hid their intent, swinging their huge swords and greatswords at Ross’s team.

If cavalry charges dominate any infantry formation not yet set, then when heavy infantry engage at close quarters, shield wall or not, everything is crushed before them!

Abandoning agility, with heavy defensive armor and absolute strength, even giant beasts would have to think twice before challenging them.

In an instant, the archers and foot soldiers caught by several Skeleton Heavy Warriors were left dumbfounded. Charging forward with their last hope, they found only a pit of despair ahead!

”Aaaaah!”

A slaughter began. Scale and leather armor on the human soldiers offered limited protection; facing these heavy weapons they were like paper, and the battle instantly became a one-sided massacre.

Conversely, when human iron swords and long spears struck the heavy armor, the skeletons didn’t even notice, continuing to smash away as if nothing had happened!

Seeing this, the humans tried to break free from the undead’s melee assault, but the Skeleton Cavalry and Little Black had already arrived. In just a few minutes, the human defense was completely shattered.

After sacrificing only a few pieces of bone, Serea’s Skeleton Warrior force had utterly crushed their opponents with zero deaths—that was the advantage brought by higher average level.

Seeing his companions die one by one, the fear in Ross’s heart could no longer be hidden. He tried to signal for help with the signal flare as a last resort, but the moment his hand reached for his waist—an arrow whistled in.

Pfft!

Thunk!

The arrow pierced his palm, the pain shooting up all ten fingers made him scream.

”Ah!!!”

His hand was pinned to the tree—the shooter was a silver-haired female elf.

With the elf’s appearance, nearby werewolves and elves stepped out of the forest as well, surrounding a black-clad young girl and escorting her toward Ross.

”I said to leave one alive, but you all went a bit overboard.”

Serea spoke, her face cold, as if some emotion was suppressed beneath her icy expression.

”My apologies, queen.”

Hearing Serea’s words, the warhammer-wielding Skeleton Heavy Warrior responded apologetically.

”But it’s fine, as long as he’s still breathing. Besides, your performance just now was very good. From now on, you’ll command the heavy infantry. Hmm... I’ll call you ’Eighty’.”

To make things easier, Serea gave the highest-level Skeleton Heavy Warrior a name.

”Thank you, queen, for bestowing a name upon me.”

The skeleton, now named ”Eighty,” knelt before Serea. Seeing this, ross finally understood. The girl before him was the master of these undead.

From this he deduced she could only be an evil necromancer.

”Cough... you’re the one controlling these undead!”

”Yes. Is there a problem?”

”You dare attack the Empire’s soldiers? Ailera will never forgive your crimes! When the Empire’s iron heel marches here, you dirty, despicable undead will all die!”

It was now a hopeless dead-end, so Ross decided to die with some spirit.

”Dirty? Despicable? Heh, hearing those words from your mouth is honestly amusing. But it’s fine, I’ll gladly accept your judgment. Now, shall we play a question and answer game?”

Serea spoke, and a young girl walked to her side. Seeing the knightly young woman, ross felt something was strange.

Elves, werewolves, monsters, undead, and now even humans—just who were these people?

Yet before he could think further, a wave of stabbing pain swept over him.

”Ugh-aaaa!”

Blood Absorption!

Serea controlled it perfectly, drawing out a thin line of blood from Ross’s wound—he wouldn’t die right away because of it.

”Tell me, how many squads like yours are in the jungle?”

”Ahhh... the Empire will avenge me!”

”How much backup do you have?”

”Die, you wicked necromancer, and all you despicable creatures!”

”Who is commanding you?”

......

Serea asked a series of questions, and Dogsius extracted the answers directly from Ross’s mind.

When Serea had nothing left to ask, she simply Blood Absorption + Soul Harvested him. After giving Serea the answers she wanted, ross gave her everything else he had left.

Yet this was only the beginning.
