Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Aruka’s Unusual Behavior

Upon hearing that there was a clash between the Undead and humans ahead, Serea decided to go see for herself. To avoid being discovered ahead of time, Serea had the main army halt while she took only the four-colored skeletons (Little Black, Little White, little Red, and Eighty) and twelve Skeleton Cavalry with her.

But just as she was about to set off, two more people caught up to her.

”Queen, let us go with you. We know this area fairly well.”

The newcomers were Aruka and Auna. They brought Becca and Hidden Fang with them. Seeing this, Serea nodded.

”Mm, let’s go together.”

With that, Celia spurred her direwolf and charged forward with Serea, followed by Little Black, Aruka and the others, and then the twelve Skeleton Cavalry bringing up the rear.

Charging all the way ahead, an elven archer was already waiting.

”Queen, the Undead are just ahead!”

Upon seeing the elven archer, Serea and her group stopped and walked up to the archer on foot.

At that moment, the howling of zombies could be heard faintly from ahead.

Creeping up to a high slope, Serea looked down, and sure enough, saw a group of Undead below. They had surrounded a convoy consisting of one carriage, five freight wagons, and a modified battle wagon.

But the horses pulling the vehicles had already been torn apart by the Undead, forcing the humans in the convoy to disembark and fight back. By the looks of it, the humans were quite capable; though outnumbered, the twenty of them only appeared at a disadvantage, not yet defeated.

All thanks to a certain middle-aged man...

He was a man wielding a longsword with white beard and short white hair. Facing the attack of a Skeleton Warrior and nearly ten skeletons, his blade was fierce and steady; not only did he defend himself, but he managed to cut down several skeletons as well.

Seeing this, Serea focused her gaze...

The Skeleton Warrior was a level 23 ordinary unit.

The old man, meanwhile, was a level 29 silver elite swordsman!

However, the man seemed to be injured, as his movements were slightly sluggish, and his parrying became weak when countering the Skeleton Warrior’s attacks.

Despite his strength, he was seriously wounded; it was only a matter of time before he was defeated.

And to cover his companions, he had to draw the Skeleton Warrior and the other skeletons to himself.

Taking a glance at the merchant guild’s emblem on the lead wagon, Serea found it somewhat familiar. Thinking back carefully...

The Xiyun Merchant Guild!

That was the guild from whom she bought the tier 3 mana crystal. But why were members of the Xiyun Merchant Guild here?

Just as Serea was puzzling over this, auna suddenly let out a shout.

”Uncle Julian!”

”Mm? You know them?”

Serea asked Auna, and upon hearing this, auna glanced at Aruka next to her, then covered her mouth.

Seeing this, Serea turned her gaze to Aruka, noticing his slowly narrowing eyes. She felt there was something unusual about them...

Also, what had Auna called that man?

  Uncle!

A werewolf calling a human ’uncle!’

Serea was dumbfounded, and at that moment, the man named Julian made a mistake—Skeleton Warrior’s great axe swung at him. Though he hastily tried to block, he couldn’t keep up and was sent flying.

Bang!

His body slammed into a tree, blood seeping from the corner of Julian’s mouth. Seeing this, auna panicked. Raising her greatsword, she was about to charge over, but Aruka said coldly:

”Auna!!!”

Aruka shouted, the tone clearly to stop her. Auna immediately hesitated, her raised foot stepping back.

”Dad, that’s Uncle Julian...”

”Mm...”

Aruka gave a long sigh. Watching as the skeletons closed in on Julian, Aruka didn’t respond immediately. But seeing Auna’s anxious expression, his heart finally softened.

”Then you go gather the wolf riders. I’ll go save that fool.”

”But...”

Auna wanted to say something, but at that moment Serea spoke up.

”Don’t ignore me. I do have an army at my back, you know.”

Serea said this, and Aruka replied:

”Our own affairs should be handled by ourselves. To rashly involve the Queen...”

”It’s fine, we’re friends.”

Serea said as she placed a hand on Aruka’s shoulder. Then she gave an order:

”Prepare for battle!”

At her command, the Skeleton Cavalry readied themselves to charge. Serea didn’t know why Aruka and Auna were acting this way, but since her allies wanted to rescue those humans, of course she’d lend a hand.

”Queen Serea...”

Aruka looked over, then swallowed the words he was about to say.

”Thank you for your help.”

”Go!”

”Oh!”

Spurring on Hidden Fang, Aruka dashed ahead. Auna hesitated for a moment, then mounted Becca and rode after him. With the Skeleton Cavalry present, there was no need to gather more tribespeople.

”Charge!”

At Serea’s command, the Skeleton Cavalry and Little Black and the others stormed ahead!

......

On the other side, julian clutched his chest, struggling to his feet. Old wounds were now joined by new ones; even holding his sword was becoming difficult.

But he could not fall, for if he did, the others wouldn’t be able to hold off this powerful underworld Undead!

”Steward!”

”I’m fine! Focus on the enemy! I’ll hold these things off!”

Julian shouted, clutching his trembling sword and taking a defensive stance. But he was already at his limit, and soon would—

”Hey, old bastard, don’t you dare die yet!”

A familiar voice suddenly rang out. Julian thought he was hearing things, but when he looked, his eyes widened in surprise.

”Boss!”

”Don’t you go adding those disgusting titles to me without permission. I’m Aruka, chieftain of Bloodthirsty Fangs!”

Aruka roared, raising his broadsword and charging into the crowd of skeletons, cutting them down one by one without mercy. Hidden Fang was no different—under its claws, no skeleton could survive a single blow.

”It’s... the Boss!”

”Boss, over here!”

Seeing Aruka arrive, the humans got excited, even waving to him despite the threat of the Undead.

Aruka responded with an annoyed expression.

”Hidden Fang!”

”Becca!”

Auna also called out to her ’husky’.

The two advanced monsters began gathering mana simultaneously.

Snowstorm (Tier 2)

  Flame Stream (Tier 2)

Ice and fire swept into the zombie horde. In an instant, over a dozen zombies died to frost and flame, greatly relieving the pressure on the humans.

But just then, the Skeleton Warrior reached Julian. Julian tried to parry, but suddenly, a black shadow dropped from above.

Armblade Thrust! Blade Rend!

Bone claw and bone tail worked in tandem, killing several skeletons instantly. With a final strike, Little Black attacked the Skeleton Warrior. However, as the Skeleton Warrior’s level was high, he was only sent flying by the strike.

As the black-robed man suddenly appeared before him, julian could sense his familiar aura.

Undead!

Next came an even more astonishing sight—a cavalry of armored skeletons rode down the hill on their bone steeds, charging directly at the zombies and skeletons from the rear.

This would be a massacre!
