Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

To Hell With Waiting for the Blood Slaves’ Transformation, let’s Just Fight!

”Hahaha, why are you quiet now? I haven’t laughed enough yet.”

Watching Dorulu fall silent, cliff gradually stopped laughing as well. When their laughter finally ceased entirely, a barely suppressed giggle reached everyone’s ears.

”Pfft...”

Doluka couldn’t hold back. Even though she knew that laughing now might embarrass the Queen, she truly couldn’t help herself.

But unlike Doluka, who tried and failed to suppress her amusement, Dorulu’s face already displayed a cold, undisguised sneer.

”I have to admit, old man, you’re quite bold. Aren’t you afraid at all?”

”Heh, boldness? This is the Corrupted Jungle, I’m an officer of the Ailera Empire, and you’re all just mere outsiders. Why should I be afraid?”

”Hearing you say that, I actually kind of admire you a bit, if only for your courage in courting death.”

”That’s enough to impress you? Hahaha, then let me tell you, I don’t care about that so-called ’Lord Little Black’ of yours at all. Not even your Queen. Even if she came, at most we’d just have some fun at her expense.”

As Cliff spoke, an unabashedly lewd grin appeared on his face.

”What? You’re speaking too softly, I can’t hear you.”

Dorulu kept on mocking him, and at this moment he could sense waves of chilling aura emanating from the Lord of the Undead. Yet, Little Black was still holding back, because the Queen’s order had not arrived yet; he needed to wait until the humans who had drunk the Blood Spring (Corruption) completed their transformation into blood slaves.

However, cliff had no awareness of the seriousness of the situation. Hearing Dorulu’s provocation, he raised his voice and shouted again.

”I said, I don’t care about your so-called Lord Little Black at all! Not even your Queen! Even if she shows up, I’ll just get to have some fun, enjoy myself a little, that’s all!”

”You’d better remember those words.”

”Heh, of course. But in my opinion, that cowardly queen of yours would just flee with her tail between her legs. If she dares to come—”

Before he could finish, in the darkness, a young girl’s face was already covered in frost, and her thoughts at this moment were...

To hell with the blood slaves, to hell with the materials, to hell with waiting!

”Eighty!”

A crisp, girlish shout rang out, and everyone couldn’t help but look toward the wooden palisade.

”Who’s there?”

Cliff stiffened. The next moment, heavy footsteps and a strange bellowing sound rang out.

”Uwahhh!”

Bang!

A huge impact followed from the direction of the palisade—the force was so great that the entire wooden barrier was shattered and sent flying.

”Commander, danger!”

Seeing the flying palisade, a few Skeleton Heavy Warriors moved to shield Cliff, but in an instant, the flying wood swept them away.

Boom!

The flying palisade, along with two guards, crashed into a wooden house of the Elves.

Seeing his two heavy-armored escorts suddenly vanish, sweat beaded Cliff’s forehead. He turned back to look—what had moments ago been a perfectly intact wooden house now lay collapsed and ruined.

It took him a while to react. Cliff looked around again.

Where are my followers? Just now, they were right here. Two of them. Big and tall. Standing right here. How did they disappear in the blink of an eye?

Cliff was still dumbfounded, but others had already noticed the dark figures beyond the ruined palisade, and the soldiers who had been standing guard on the wall had vanished without a trace, as if evaporated from existence.

”Enemy attack!”

Someone shouted, and everyone turned to look.

There stood a heavy warrior clad in black armor, holding a massive siege warhammer. He still held the pose of having just struck, making it obvious who was responsible for the blow.

Upon seeing the familiar black armor, cliff thought he’d found one of his men.

”Are you crazy? Attacking your own people!”

Cliff shouted in accusation, but the warrior slowly raised his head. Beneath his visor, golden soul fire blazed intensely.

Bestowed with the name ’Eighty’ by the Queen, this was the captain of the Skeleton Heavy Warrior division!

”How dare you insult Her Majesty the Queen? My warhammer shall crush the sinful bones of your body!”

Eighty’s archaic, incomprehensible words left Cliff utterly bewildered.

No sooner had he finished speaking than a group of soldiers, all clad in black armor, emerged from the darkness.

From head to toe, they wore black battle gear like Cliff’s, but unlike his men, most of their armor was soaked with fresh blood. Behind them, bluish spectral phantoms began appearing in the sight of Cliff and the others.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Violent explosions erupted, destroying large sections of the wooden barricade. Through the shattered wall, something seemed to flicker in the darkness.

Skeletons!

Dozens—no, a hundred of them!

A hundred skeletons! Even though they were just ordinary undead, the sheer quantity was terrifying. Compared to zombies, these skeletons were at least twice as lethal!

Wait, why are there so many skeletons? And who are those black-armored soldiers?

But before Cliff could make any sense of it, a sudden, urgent sound of hooves rang out.

Clop-clop-clop!

Huh?

”Shh-shh-shh!”

Suddenly, squadrons of cavalry clad in chainmail charged forth, and from the soul fires flickering in their skulls, it was clear—they were albino skeletons atop undead monster ”bone steeds!”

They were undead cavalry!!!

Why? This should’ve just been a zombie outbreak! Why would elite undead warriors—the skeleton cavalry—show up here?!

The sudden appearance of the Skeleton Cavalry left Cliff stunned. The cavalry quickly stormed before the Skeleton Warriors, their lances gleaming coldly—it was obvious these weapons had been recently polished.

”Form up!”

Seeing the Skeleton Cavalry charging, cliff forgot all about Dorulu and the others and decisively ordered the shield soldiers to form ranks, while the archers retreated behind them.

”Don’t panic—stay calm, it’s okay! Even though the enemy is high-tier undead, my soldiers can hold the line! Yes, there’s nothing to wro—”

BOOM!

”Ahhh!”

A giant Fireball crashed from the sky directly onto the center of the shield wall. A deafening explosion instantly blasted apart the formation; in such tight ranks, several soldiers died on the spot, and over ten more were injured by the blast.

”Mage!”

Spotting a skeleton mage in a mage’s robe, staff in hand behind the cavalry, cliff’s eyes went wide. The situation was shifting so rapidly he couldn’t keep up.

”Archers, fi—”

Cliff choked back his shout, swallowing the word ”fire”.

His archer unit behind, thirty men strong, had already been wiped out by a sudden volley of arrows. Most of their skulls now had an arrow firmly embedded in them.

Vina and Little White, leading the elven and skeleton archers, had seized the palisade and the great tree. Unlike these rookie archers, every one of their shots was precise and lethal.

Of course, it would have been tough to exterminate so many archers in a single instant without the help of another...

Tssst.

Little Black’s bone claws withdrew, fresh blood dyeing his previously white exoskeletal armor a crimson red. Casually tossing away an archer’s corpse impaled on his bony tail, Little Black gave his neck a hard twist.

Crack!

He wiped the grime from his claws, then looked over at Cliff.

”Y-You... Who are you?!”

Cliff was dumbfounded. Facing the suddenly-appearing Little Black, he quickly drew his sword from his waist.

Little Black gave no answer, but Dorulu replied from the side.

”Lord Little Black!”

Dorulu ran over excitedly, hiding behind Little Black and looking at Cliff with big, tear-filled eyes.

”This is the human who tried to bully me, Lord Little Black! Please punish him for me!”

As Dorulu spoke, the soul fire in Little Black’s eyes blazed violently.

Upon hearing the name, cliff felt as if he’d fallen straight into an icy abyss.

A fierce and ruthless high-tier undead—within mere moments, he’d slaughtered half of the archer division. Cliff could never have imagined that such a powerful high undead was actually an ally of the elves.

Nor could he have imagined that a dignified, mighty war god of the undead would have a name like ”Little Black”...
