Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Warbeast · Bloodfiend Treant

”Ahhh!”

”No, no!”

”Help... help!!!”

The Skeleton Cavalry charged across the battlefield, needing only a single impact to reap the lives of any light-armored unit. As the first wave of cavalry charged, the following Skeleton Warriors moved up as well, with even more skeletons trailing behind them.

Even discounting the regular skeletons, the forty or so pure bronze elite Skeleton Warriors with an average level of 18 could easily crush these human soldiers, who averaged only level 12.

Moreover, Serea’s side didn’t just have ordinary Skeleton Warriors and skeletons...

Little White and Vina’s arrows were fatal with every shot, eighty’s warhammer swept through the ranks like a storm, little Red’s fire magic incinerated everything, and Little Black steadily advanced toward Cliff.

”Quick... cover me!”

Cliff held his longsword and kept retreating. Seeing his distress, a few infantrymen by his side gritted their teeth and moved forward to protect him. However...

A bone blade swept out, precisely striking throats. In the face of Little Black, who was at the sixth level of ’Soul Slayer,’ everyone present was basically defeated in a single move. In fact, unless Celia used holy magic to counter Little Black, she could only barely keep up with Little Black’s sixth level of Soul Slayer in close combat.

As for Cliff facing Little Black...

”Damn it, stop them, now!”

Cliff was terrified and retreated desperately. The skeletons and Skeleton Warriors were already upon him. In the moment of engagement, some skeletons were destroyed, but in exchange, cliff’s troops paid a heavy price.

”Quick, reform the formation!”

Other squad captains began issuing orders. Fewer than a hundred remaining human soldiers quickly assembled into formation, preparing to defend and counterattack.

Seeing this, Serea stepped out of the shadows. Watching the gathering humans, she felt somewhat irritated.

These humans had drunk from the Blood Spring (Corruption), but the effect hadn’t triggered, nor did any blood slave units appear.

Could it be that she hadn’t invested enough blood Crystals? Or is more time needed?

If turning into a blood slave required as long a transformation as the blood elves, Serea thought these candidates weren’t worth it for now. She’d rather experiment further in the future.

And to avoid letting the reorganized humans inflict unnecessary losses on her Skeleton Warriors, she decided to step in personally.

System: The host is gradually adapting to the effects of ’Blood Frenzy’. Continued use will progressively reduce the side effects and consumption, until the host transforms into the true Vampire Queen. Therefore, the system recommends frequent use of ’Blood Frenzy’.

That’s what the system said, and Serea could indeed feel her vampiric traits growing stronger. As long as she continued to use Blood Frenzy without interruption, she would soon be able to shed its restrictions altogether.

And right now, she wanted to end this battle quickly.

Seeing Serea preparing to join the fight, Celia said nothing, but Lola stepped forward.

”My Queen, you intend to fight personally?”

”Mm.”

”But you’ve been exhausted all along the way, so let me take your place in battle.”

”Eh? But I want to summon a warbeast to end things quickly. Lola, you...”

”Leave it to me, My Queen. Don’t forget, I am the purest blood elf royal under your command.”

”Oh? So you’re already able to wield the power of the blood elves?”

”Yes, that’s why I’d like to demonstrate it to you now.”

Lola’s words sparked Serea’s curiosity.

”All right. Show me—what sort of power have you mastered?”

”As you command.”

With that, Lola took a few steps forward, approaching the battlefield. Immediately, her hair shifted from emerald green to silver, and her eyes became a dark golden hue.

Blood Elf Form!

However, even in her blood elf form, Lola was still using nature magic. It seemed her vampiric abilities weren’t fully awakened yet... or perhaps...

Wait—a sudden realization dawned on Serea. Unless Lola was about to use that ability!

Suddenly, Serea wanted to stop her, knowing that ability could have serious side effects at first.

But Serea was just a moment too late. Before she could intervene, Lola raised her hands toward the corpses of several humans, and blood began to swirl in her palms.

”Lola, no!”

Blood Frenzy (First Tier)!

Expending blood power, Lola entered Blood Elf form’s Blood Frenzy. In an instant, black markings crawled across her cheeks, and with them came pangs of agony.

Lola’s legs buckled and she nearly fell, prompting Serea to dash forward and steady her.

”M-My Queen...”

Lola looked at Serea with teary eyes, causing Serea to feel a pang of embarrassment. Did she look this pitiful to others when she activated Blood Frenzy herself?

Thinking of this, Serea wished she could crawl into a crack in the ground and disappear.

After a moment’s adjustment, Lola got her footing, blood power steadily remaking her body to better channel its force, though side effects lingered.

”M-My Queen, I’m fine. Please, leave it to me.”

”Uh... you don’t look very convincing.”

”I can do it.”

Lola stood firm on her own. She wanted to prove that the power granted by the Queen was now fully hers.

”My Queen, please look forward to my performance!”

”Know your limits. If you really can’t endure, don’t force it.”

”I absolutely won’t! I am the blood elf royal of your command. I will never let you down here, My Queen.”

Lola spoke stubbornly, and then summoned the blood power within her, blending it with her inherent natural energy. The two harmonized—this was the power of the blood elf royal.

She gained a brand new skill. Among them was—

Summon: Warbeast Bloodfiend Treant (4th-Tier)!

”O warriors of nature, I grant you noble blood power. Fight for the blood elves!”

The chant resounded, and blood power surged into an Elf Tree, crimson marks spreading, as a sinister blood-drop magic circle glowed upon its bark.

”She’s summoning a treant? No, this skill merges the power of a blood elf, so the result has changed. That means... she’s summoning a warbeast!”

Serea saw through the magic’s essence, and the blood-red magic formation finished forming. Right after, the towering Elf Tree began to move.

”Do not dare defy the power of the forest!”

A coarse voice echoed, and the Elf Tree started to shift and twist—its bark contorting into a grotesque human face. Using its thick roots, the Bloodfiend Treant stood up, dry branches sprouting and transforming into arms, with several vines splitting off to form five-fingered hands.

It was actually a warbeast with exceptional buffing and healing abilities!

Unlike Clark, who was solely a killing weapon for anti-personnel combat, the Bloodfiend Treant was more like a mobile mass healing fountain and buff banner.
