Berserk God of War

171: Chapter 171: A Slap in the Face, Whether You’re a Princess or Not 171: Chapter 171: A Slap in the Face, Whether You’re a Princess or Not “He returned with resounding military achievements, having quelled the unrest in the Seven Countries.”

Yan Ruyu explained in a voice that only Su Yuexi could hear, “But on the first day he returned, my father the emperor and I had him thrown into prison; we then destroyed his Dantian, tore apart his meridians, and exiled him to Yunzhou.”

Hum hum hum…

It was like thunder was crashing down on Su Yuexi.

She had not known what the enmity between Brother Jing and the Ninth Princess was, but now she finally understood.

With such military exploits, why would he be treated like this?

Brother Jing is the Great Shang Invincible God General, so why harm him?

Her heart roared wildly, but Su Yuexi still gritted her teeth and forced herself to ask calmly, “I don’t understand, why would he be treated like this despite such achievements?”

She couldn’t be completely indifferent, she had to express her confusion, yet couldn’t get too agitated.

“It’s because he was of common birth.”

“How could a person of lowly origins have such a high status?”

“Aren’t such insignificant people used and then discarded?

We certainly can’t allow them to threaten the interests of true nobility.”

Listening to Yan Ruyu’s matter-of-fact explanation, Su Yuexi felt her chest might explode.

Endure, endure, endure…

Forcing herself to calm down, Su Yuexi replied, “I see, then wouldn’t it have been more appropriate for Your Highness to kill him on the spot?

Why then arrange a marriage for him with me?”

Yan Ruyu narrowed her eyes and responded with a giggling smile, “Because it is quite amusing…”

“And also, in order for him to fight and strive for the Great Shang Dynasty, I would call him ‘Brother Jing’ every day, pretending to be deeply in love with him.”

“I even made vows of eternal togetherness with him; thinking back on it now just makes me want to vomit.”

“For me, the greatest beauty of the Great Shang, to have been temporarily possessed by him, that’s a humiliation that should be avenged.

Of course, I want to punish and shame him by giving him the ugliest wife possible.

It’s the only way I’d feel satisfied.”

Giggle giggle giggle…

Su Yuexi’s teeth clenched so hard they chattered, and then suddenly she reached out her hand and slapped Yan Ruyu across the face.

Slap!

The crisp sound echoed throughout the arena; Yan Ruyu, caught off guard, was struck squarely by Su Yuexi!

This resounding slap stunned the 107 palace maids on the platform, who stopped in their tracks.

Lord of Yunzhou—Leng Huo—and the many Transcendent experts brought by Yan Ruyu, all widened their eyes, followed by the rumbling of their True Qi, as each one rushed to Yan Ruyu’s side.

On the other side, the Su Zhenglong couple and the Su Yue Immortal were scared witless.

Su Yue was going to die.

“Sikong Jing, aren’t you going to save her?” Mei Xiaofang screamed frantically.

Sikong Jing’s 102nd meridian manifested within him, and he, too, gritted his teeth very hard, his eyes bloodshot, but he knew that Yan Ruyu would definitely not kill Su Yuexi—at least she wouldn’t easily bring herself to deliver a lethal blow.

True to Yan Ruyu’s character, receiving a slap was definitely not going to result in mere killing.

Indeed, Yan Ruyu stopped all her impulsive subordinates; she gently touched the faintly red Five-finger Mountain on her face, then, with a gloomy expression, sneered, “The game is over; you finally couldn’t hold back anymore.”

“Wretch, venomous woman!”

Su Yuexi’s voice squeezed out through clenched teeth as tears streamed down her face.

She finally understood how much Brother Jing had suffered and how heavy the burdens he had carried were.

Everything that belonged to him had been ruthlessly stripped away by the venomous princess before her.

Su Yuexi felt as if she could see Brother Jing being held in prison, his screams tearing at her soul.

She felt his pain as if it were her own; her heart seemed to have been viciously torn open, the pain piercing to the core!

Su Yuexi couldn’t bear it; she truly couldn’t endure it anymore.

As Brother Jing’s wife, how could she stand by and watch her man be humiliated like this?

Clenching her teeth, she glared at Yan Ruyu with hatred, “You are nothing but a slut.

No matter how pretty you are, you only make people sick.”

Yet Yan Ruyu just shrugged her shoulders and said, “Ugly freak, you’re just jealous of my beauty.

You’re really pitiable.

As a woman, being so ugly, you’re just a tiny scrap abandoned by the heavens.”

“But well…”

“Brother Jing, oh, I am so curious.

How can you let such an ugly freak be so devoted to you, even risking her life to resist me?”

“Haha, don’t tell me you can stomach someone this ugly?”

As she spoke, Yan Ruyu watched Sikong Jing with a face full of scorn.

Slap!

All of a sudden, Su Yuexi delivered another fierce slap across Yan Ruyu’s face, screaming, “Is Brother Jing someone you have the right to call?”

The whole place was shocked again; the ugliest in Yunzhou had actually hit the Ninth Princess…

Doesn’t she know she’s in the hands of the Ninth Princess now?

Doesn’t she know that even if Sikong Jing could fight to the death and slaughter everyone, he still absolutely can’t rescue her?

Isn’t she afraid of death?

Although there were far fewer people beside the Ninth Princess than beside Sikong Jing, their quality was much higher.

All of them were from the Transcendent Realm.

Who could rescue Su Yuexi?

This woman must have gone mad.

And Yan Ruyu couldn’t hold back anymore; she could tolerate the first slap.

She could endure with the thought of using Su Yuexi to mock Sikong Jing, but the second slap was a humiliation, an immense humiliation…

Now, with a ferocious look, Yan Ruyu bellowed, “Someone come here, throw this ugly freak down, let the demon beast devour her!”

“No, don’t!”

The Su Zhenglong couple screamed frantically, attempting to rush forward, but they were still firmly blocked by the people of Jin Sect.

“Sikong Jing, are you still a man?” Su Yue Immortal also yelled desperately.

Sikong Jing’s 107th meridian in his body became visible, with just one more left, but hearing Yan Ruyu’s words, he no longer felt anxious because once thrown into the midst of the Transcendent Demon Beast, Yue Xi wouldn’t die!

Beneath the trench, there were…

allies!

But Su Yuexi didn’t know that; she fiercely tore off the Flowing Cloud Flying Squirrel Scarf covering her face, and an exceptionally beautiful visage was revealed.

In an instant, there was a dazzling light!

Even the group of experts rushing towards her involuntarily stopped their steps, disbelieving.

Yan Ruyu was also stunned, pointing at Su Yuexi, trembling, and for a moment, she was unable to speak.

“You think you deserve to be the number one beauty of Great Shang?”

“I, Su Yuexi, am the real number one beauty of the Great Shang Dynasty, the number one beauty in the heart of my Brother Jing, and you’re nothing.”

Despite the cold expression on her face, Su Yuexi’s beauty remained unblemished, even enhanced with an additional layer of allure.

The entire place fell silent, no matter which side they were on.

Everyone instinctively looked at Su Yuexi and then at Yan Ruyu…

And they immediately drew a conclusion; Su Yuexi was far more beautiful than Yan Ruyu.

Given the choice, they would only choose Su Yuexi.

Even though they dared not say it out loud, at that moment, the title of the number one beauty of Great Shang had shifted to Su Yuexi.

“Leng Huo, what the hell are you doing?” Yan Ruyu suddenly shouted.

The Lord of Yunzhou’s face went pale.

He had clearly bestowed upon Sikong Jing the ugliest in Yunzhou, so why had Su Yuexi become so beautiful?

And he had personally selected her!

With a thud, Leng Huo knelt down, trembling, “I didn’t know…”

Then, Yan Ruyu’s icy voice resounded, echoing powerfully, “Execute Leng Huo!”
