Berserk God of War

166: Chapter 166: Bad News Arrives, Execute the Criminals First 166: Chapter 166: Bad News Arrives, Execute the Criminals First Sikong Jing’s mouth twitched slightly before he fell into a deep silence again, feeling a mix of amusement and disbelief within his heart.

On the other side, Luo Shuizhe spoke anxiously, “Young Master Sikong, no matter what, we will compensate you, even if Ning’er becomes your concubine.

Please don’t expose us.”

As soon as these words were spoken, Su Yuexi’s brows shot up, and she directed a threatening aura at Luo Shuizhe.

Then, she looked at Sikong Jing with some nervousness.

Brother Jing shouldn’t agree to take a concubine, right?

At this moment, Sikong Jing’s sense of irony intensified; he lightly patted Luo Shuizhe on the shoulder.

“It’s fine, I don’t mind, and I don’t wish to be famous.”

Suddenly, Luo Shuizhe’s face was full of gratitude.

Brother Sikong is truly a Divine Person.

He doesn’t care about this at all.

It’s very likely he could ingratiate himself with the Ninth Princess and cleanse himself of his criminal status, then exact vengeance on his enemy, the Lord of Yunzhou!

In Luo Shuizhe’s view, Sikong Jing’s enemy was still just the Lord of Yunzhou.

“Boss Luo, there’s a favor I need to ask of you,” Sikong Jing suddenly spoke again.

Upon hearing this, Luo Shuizhe immediately nodded without hesitation.

Then he heard Sikong Jing say, “You merchants have your ways.

Prepare a carriage that can leave the city at any time, and then wait for my message.”

Blinking, Luo Shuizhe didn’t understand what Sikong Jing was up to.

Next, Sikong Jing added, “Hmm, it would be best to prepare several carriages, as you might need them as well.”

All of a sudden, Luo Shuizhe felt a surge of panic.

Not knowing what Sikong Jing meant, the anxious feeling made him hastily arrange for someone to get ready…

Meanwhile, on the platform, Yan Ruyu concluded her explanation and said, “Now, my palace maids will demonstrate the 107 Divine Person Martial Skills for everyone present.”

As the words fell, Yan Ruyu’s palace maids rushed out, taking their positions around the platform, each maid representing a different Beast Skill, and began to exhibit them.

Instantly, the maids seemed to transform into fierce beasts.

And at that moment, Sikong Jing’s gaze froze.

Seven whole days had passed, and he still hadn’t been able to integrate the 108 Beast Skills, wasting many sheets of Green Jade Paper in the process.

But in that moment, it was as if he had caught on to something…

107 palace maids demonstrating simultaneously struck him like lightning, as if a flash of inspiration dashed by, but now the “Beast Skill Flying Blood” of the Transcendent Warhorse was still missing.

Sikong Jing had not truly captured that moment of inspiration…

“During the competition period, my palace maids will continue to demonstrate these Martial Skills, and whoever can comprehend them will claim them,” she announced.

“Now, let’s invite the talents of the Yunzhou competition onto the platform.”

As Yan Ruyu’s voice faded, Luo Ning gracefully stepped down from the platform.

At the same time, Su Yuexi walked up leisurely, and the draw began at this moment.

Yan Ruyu also stepped back to the resting area…

The Lord of Yunzhou, Leng Huo, was flattering on the side, chuckling, “Ninth Princess, your eloquence is admirable, conquering the entire ignorant populace of Yunzhou with just a few words, congratulations are in order.”

“That’s also thanks to Luoshui Jade Line’s so-called Divine Person.

I’ve looked over these 107 Martial Skills, and indeed, they are unprecedented,” Yan Ruyu said, smiling.

In truth, she knew they weren’t the work of any Divine Person, nor were they casually created, but instead completion only came after wasting many Green Jade Stone Plates.

But her intention was to create momentum, letting all citizens of Yunzhou know that with Yan Ruyu’s arrival came the appearance of a Divine Person.

Since those 107 Martial Skills were basically acquired without cost, she would bestow them upon Yunzhou and establish a Martial Arts Hall…

From then on, her name, Yan Ruyu, would be eternally engraved in Yunzhou, while Sikong Jing would surely be vomiting blood in frustration.

Harvesting fame, leaving her name in history, and striking at Sikong Jing, the great plaything—how could she not be pleased?

Then, Yan Ruyu casually added, “Has there been no news from Yunzhou’s border yet?

How is the battle situation now?”

Leng Huo shook his head and said, “Yuwen Divine General deliberately sealed off the news; I guess he wants to give the Princess a big surprise.

Moreover, it’s only been seven days.

These kinds of major battles don’t conclude so quickly.”

Hearing this, Yan Ruyu smiled slightly, not taking it to heart.

Battles of this magnitude could not be finished in just a couple of days.

Moreover, flattening Xia Country’s Yan State would take even more time.

However, it should be possible to return victorious before the grand competition concluded.

“Report…”

Suddenly, a wretched voice echoed across the Martial Arts Arena’s skies as a Great Shang Soldier rode on a flying mount, rapidly descending to the ground.

Yan Ruyu halted, her eyes brightening as she demanded, “Speak fast, what good news is it?”

However, the messenger kneeled heavily on the ground, trembling as he spoke, “Your Highness, the Princess, we’ve lost, suffered a crushing defeat at the foot of Yanyun City!”

Buzz!

As these words were uttered, Yan Ruyu’s head roared.

In an instant, she appeared before the reporter, staring down at him from a commanding height and demanded, “Repeat yourself.

What happened at Yanyun City?”

At the same time, the entire Martial Arts Arena grew silent.

The messenger’s voice was so loud that everyone heard him loud and clear.

The messenger kept kowtowing vigorously, trembling as he replied, “Your Highness, the Invincible God General was disastrously defeated at the foot of Yanyun City, losing battle after battle miserably.

We retreated to Yunzhou City two days ago.”

After he finished, the entire arena fell silent, the rhythm of breathing growing heavier and heavier.

A glint flashed in Sikong Jing’s eyes—Yuwen Guan would arrive at Yunzhou City in half a day if he had retreated two days ago.

At the same time, Yan Ruyu’s breathing quickened, staring intently at the messenger she slowly asked, “Why didn’t Yuwen Divine General report to me?

Why did we only receive news now?”

Her chest was heaving, the flames in her heart furiously burning.

“Your Highness, I do not know.

I was gravely injured under Yanyun City and managed to escape back here on a flying creature,” the messenger replied with a gleam in his eyes, speaking softly.

Yan Ruyu did not detect any issues, pressing further, “Then do you know why Yuwen Divine General suddenly wanted to return to the State City?”

The messenger responded immediately, “It seems that the Female Marshal of Xia Country said something that enraged Yuwen Divine General, causing him to furiously return.”

At this point, an unusual light flashed in the messenger’s eyes.

In fact, he was not from the Great Shang Dynasty, but from Xia Country, sent deliberately by Xia Dalian.

The purpose was to remind Sikong Jing to prepare for the arrival of Yuwen Guan in advance…

That is, to flee for his life!

In a flash, Yan Ruyu exploded with anger: “You know nothing on the left, have no clarity on the right, go to hell!”

With that, Yan Ruyu slapped the messenger to death.

But in an instant, her expression froze because all the citizens of Yunzhou City in the arena were watching her.

Her just action had damaged her perfect image.

Adjusting her expression slightly, Yan Ruyu regained her smile and announced brightly, “Do not worry, that man was just a spy sent by Xia Country to disrupt our military morale.”

“Yuwen Divine General is invincible.

I have long received good news: Yanyun City was conquered two days ago.”

“Still trying to deceive me—how ludicrous of Xia Country.”

Upon hearing this, the crowd came to a sudden realization, and the arena once again erupted with enthusiasm.

Only one pair of eyes were filled with scorn—naturally, they belonged to Sikong Jing.

Yan Ruyu saw it very clearly, and the fire in her heart boiled once more…

She had been humiliated; Sikong Jing said Yuwen Guan would lose, and he actually did.

Yan Ruyu couldn’t stand it, suddenly proclaimed, “Before the grand competition starts, there’s another entertainment program.

Outside the Martial Arts Arena, there are a million criminals from the battlefield, and I will execute a hundred thousand of them first.”
