Berserk God of War

Chapter 685: Chapter 685: Rushing Forward, Speeding All the Way

At this moment, Qiu Baichu was riding a Demon Dragon, heading north.

Along the journey, he finally learned that Sikong Jing had led the Soul Stealers into the Northern Mountain, escaping Lu Lungan’s pursuit.

Now, the entire War Soul Dynasty had fallen into a state of anger and panic; the people were hurling all kinds of abuses at Lu Lungan and Gongyang Ren, thinking them utterly incompetent.

However, all these had nothing to do with Qiu Baichu, as he locked on to the direction of the Northern Mountain.

Because he was riding a Demon Dragon, he reached the Northern Mountain at top speed, but how was he to find Sikong Jing?

At this point, the Demon Dragon beneath him began to unleash its power. It had once been subdued by Sikong Jing and was acutely aware of his fearsome Fierce Beast aura, so it carried Qiu Baichu through the mountains.

Two days later, Qiu Baichu finally found the large group of Soul Stealers that was moving eastward through the mountains.

”Junior Brother Sikong, I am Qiu Baichu, this is an emergency.”

Seeing the Soul Stealers’ experts noticing him and about to surround and attack him, Qiu Baichu immediately shouted out.

At the same moment, Sikong Jing, who was on the back of a demon beast, studying the Absolute Night Wolf King Meridian, suddenly opened his eyes.

The next moment, Sikong Jing barked, ”All back off, he’s one of us.”

Ning Jingjing and others immediately halted and waved at the surrounding 66th Army Soldiers.

Sikong Jing had already flashed in front of Qiu Baichu, asking, ”Senior Brother Qiu, what matter is so pressing?”

He had some guesses in his mind; perhaps something major had happened at the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace. Could it be that his Demon Blood was useless?

However, Qiu Baichu’s response greatly shocked Sikong Jing.

”Lian Zhiyu’s father, Lian Kegu, might have already entered the Northern Mountain to pursue Wang Ge. He knows where Wang Ge is.”

After that, Qiu Baichu informed Sikong Jing of the events that had taken place within the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.

And in Sikong Jing’s eyes, there was now a fierce redness as he asked in a hoarse voice, ”How many days have passed?”

Indeed, how many days had it been since Lian Kegu left the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace?

”Six days.” Qiu Baichu immediately responded.

It had taken him four frantic days to get to the Northern Mountain from the War Soul Imperial City, and two more days in the mountains to meet Sikong Jing. So, six full days had passed since Lian Kegu declared he would kill Wang Ge.

Sikong Jing’s whole body trembled violently, then he demanded, ”Do you know Wang Ge’s exact location?”

Unfortunately, Qiu Baichu could not possibly know; Lian Kegu hadn’t said.

But then Qiu Baichu added, ”Junior Brother Sikong, do not be anxious. When Lian Kegu left, he had sustained serious injuries, and his blood technique Zhuiyu Long turned to white bones beneath your power. He probably won’t be quick.”

”Moreover, the Northern Mountain is vast, and Wang Ge may not be in the original location. Lian Kegu will definitely need to search.”

But how could Sikong Jing possibly not be anxious?

Even with the premises that Qiu Baichu had mentioned, his sister was still in great danger. He suddenly exclaimed, ”General Ning, Lian Guang, the journey back will be left to you.”

After several days of travel, the Absolute Night Wolf Guard had already rendezvoused with the main force.

Having said this, Sikong Jing leaped and landed on Qiu Baichu’s Demon Dragon, then gave him a deep fist salute, ”Senior Brother Qiu, please stay with my army for now. I am sorry for the inconvenience.”

Qiu Baichu certainly didn’t feel inconvenienced. Without hesitation, he leaped down and said, ”Junior Brother Sikong, be careful.”

Ning Jingjing, Lian Guang, and the others also watched Sikong Jing intently, their eyes full of worry.

Now, without the Iron Bone Flying Vulture by his side, Sikong Jing was still going to face a fearsome Reverse Soul Realm powerhouse.

But Sikong Jing, he had no choice but to go.

Sikong Jing nodded heavily, mounted the extraordinary fifth realm Demon Dragon, and plunged into the depths of the Northern Mountain.

In the next instant, his consciousness as the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts spread out.

Sikong Jing began ordering the Little Demon Beasts to look for any traces of his sister or Lian Kegu’s potential appearance.

But the Northern Mountain was just too vast, it wasn’t that easy.

Searching aimlessly was like looking for a needle in a haystack, but Sikong Jing couldn’t afford to give up,

He forced himself to calm down and silently analyzed, ”Why did Lian Kegu know that Ling’er was in the Northern Mountain? He must have come across her on the way, which means Ling’er was on the route from Holy Dragon Academy to the War Soul Imperial City at that time.”

”About ten days have passed by now, and Ling’er definitely wouldn’t have stayed put.”

”Then, her... most likely possibility is towards the direction of Wangyou Sect, that is, from the closest Northern Mountain near the Holy Dragon Academy, rushing towards the direction of the Long Night Empire.”

Sikong Jing kept analyzing, and this was the most probable scenario.

But that wasn’t certain either. If the Great Elder from Wangyou Sect did not allow Sikong Ling to return to their sect, they might be in another direction, but for sure they wouldn’t leave the Northern Mountain, as his name was all over the outside.

”Regardless, this route is the most likely.”

Taking a deep breath, Sikong Jing rode the Demon Dragon at breakneck speed, still commanding the Little Demon Beasts to search for clues along the way.

Then, four days later, a Little Demon Beast brought over a bloodstained leaf.

Projecting his consciousness onto it, Sikong Jing’s eyes flashed with insight, and he immediately concluded, ”The blood is from at least a Golden Body Realm expert, and it carries the distinct essence of Cultivation Techniques from the Holy Dragon Academy. It must be left by Lian Kegu.”

With eyes sparkling, Sikong Jing summoned other Little Demon Beasts nearby and quickly confirmed his findings.

Finally, having found Lian Kegu’s trail, he chased after it without hesitation.

...

Also within the Northern Mountain, Sikong Ling and the Great Elder Mo Sang, just as Sikong Jing had speculated, were moving towards the direction of Wangyou Sect.

At that moment, Mo Sang received a message, glanced at it, and her expression turned cold.

It was from someone of Wangyou Sect, saying that Sikong Jing had broken free from the pursuit of the War Soul Dynasty and had entered the Northern Mountain.

He was likely heading in the direction of the Long Night Empire’s north.

Crushing the message into bits, Mo Sang suddenly said, ”Wang Ge, there’s been a change. The Long Night Saint Dragon Palace is mobilizing various experts to destroy our Wangyou Sect; we can’t return now.”

Sikong Ling was stunned for a moment and couldn’t help but ask, ”What kind of deep hatred does the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace really have with us?”

She couldn’t understand why the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, after killing their master, still wanted to destroy the entire Wangyou Sect.

”The specifics are still unclear...” Mo Sang casually remarked, ”For now, I’ll find you a safe place to stay for a while. I’ll go find out more about the situation.”

As she spoke, a strong killing intent flashed in her eyes; in fact, she was now determined to find Sikong Jing and kill him herself.

If he’s within the Northern Mountain, it would be the perfect opportunity to slay him.

”Wang Ge, you are all the hope our Wangyou Sect has. Your life is more important than anyone else’s, understand?”

Mo Sang took another deep breath and said, worried Sikong Ling might run off, thus she emphasized again, ”Right now, the person the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace wants to kill the most is you. You must never leave the Northern Mountain, and do not make contact with anybody.”

Hearing this, Sikong Ling lightly nodded, showing she understood.

However, at this very moment, a man’s derisive laughter suddenly arose, ”Now, it’s not just the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace that wants to kill Wang Ge. Our Holy Dragon General Academy also wants to kill her.”

As the words fell, a surging killing intent enveloped Mo Sang and Sikong Ling, followed by the appearance of a figure seething with murderous intent.
