Berserk God of War

Chapter 679: Chapter 679: Wang Ge, Your Master Has Died

Hua Lidian simply could not refute it, Sikong Jing tying with Gongyang Ying was the best hard evidence.

And Ren Dongmeng, no matter how partial he might be, absolutely would not dare to speak recklessly about such a matter.

Exiting the conference room’s door, Hua Lidian stared intently at Ren Dongmeng in front of him, and immediately said, ”Steward Ren, I know you have a bias against Sikong Jing, but you are violating the rules of Overlord Commerce.”

Hua Lidian really did not want to see a tragedy occur between Sikong Jing and Wang Ge.

However, Ren Dongmeng looked at him with a smile and said oddly, ”Steward Hua, be careful with your words. I have been completely abiding by the rules of Overlord Commerce. If I knew Sikong Jing tied with Gongyang Ying, wouldn’t I report it?”

Her laughter carried a deliberately feigned innocence.

Suddenly, Hua Lidian was left speechless, for within the bounds of the rules was indeed a case of killing with a borrowed knife.

”By the way, Steward Hua, Wang Ge is also a genius under your management, congratulations, ha.”

”Having two martial arts geniuses enter the top thirty, and even ranking so closely together, truly makes me so envious. Even Gongyang Ying from my managed area was ousted by these two, I’m so disappointed.”

”Ha, hahaha...”

Accompanied by roaring laughter, Ren Dongmeng left.

After all, both Sikong Jing and Wang Ge were almost about to die anyway.

She certainly would not go against the rules of Overlord Commerce, but she could indeed kill someone and slap Hua Lidian’s face, which was frigging satisfying.

Watching Ren Dongmeng’s retreating figure, Hua Lidian was trembling all over.

”Wang Ge, since Mo Ci’s death, has been taken away by the Great Elder and not seen, with no clue as to her current whereabouts.”

”She probably won’t see the new issue of the East Plain Thousand Tyrant List.”

”But Sikong Jing can evade for the moment, not forever. What methods he will use to save Wang Ge?”

Hua Lidian for the time being could not come up with an answer to this question.

But he knew that Sikong Jing likely indeed had a way; otherwise, he wouldn’t have ruthlessly killed Mo Ci,

The rankings were already finalized, and there could be no change, so Hua Lidian could only leave Zhanwu City feeling utterly dispirited.

...

In a certain place in the Northern Mountains, a clear yet icy female voice suddenly rang out, ”Great Elder, why did you suddenly bring me into the Northern Mountains? Isn’t my next target supposed to be the Holy Dragon Academy?”

In the East Plain Northern Land, the Northern Mountains stretch endlessly, and are even more vast than the Minglong Mountain Range.

They nearly extend to every corner of the East Plain Northern Land.

The speaker was a sixteen or seventeen-year-old girl, but her face carried an eternal frost, as if no one could touch her heart.

She was the Wangyou Sect Young Master Wang Ge, none other than Sikong Ling.

Ten days ago, she was on her way to challenge the Holy Dragon Academy, but en route she was whisked away by the Great Elder, and even now Sikong Ling did not understand what had happened, as she had been cultivating in stealth within the Northern Mountains ever since.

Moreover, she had not encountered a single person, and even if there were people around, the Great Elder would lead her away from them.

Yet Sikong Ling did not want to press on so drearily through the mountains; she needed the numbness of continuous battles to distract herself, and she was truly afraid of the quiet, which made her determined to find out the reason today.

The Great Elder’s expression hardened, his eyes flashing with profound killing intent.

The sudden move to take Wang Ge into the Northern Mountains was of course because the Sect Master was dead, dead at the hands of Sikong Jing.

And since Sikong Jing was Wang Ge’s brother, this matter absolutely could not be revealed to her.

Seeing Sikong Ling’s insistence on getting an answer, the Great Elder replied softly, ”I received a sudden notice from the Sect Master, saying that currently you should be cultivating in the mountains, with instruction to temper yourself against demon beasts and then return to the Sect.”

The Great Elder had no choice but to make excuses now.

Sikong Ling’s eyes were still filled with confusion, wanting to dig deeper, but suddenly... roar!

The terrifying roar of a demon beast echoed from the distance.

Both instinctively looked up... and then, they saw a giant blood-red demon dragon swiftly flying across the sky.

The Great Elder’s pupils shrank sharply, he said coldly, ”That’s Elder Lian Kegu’s Blood Refining Chasing Dragon from the Holy Dragon Academy, a being of the Reverse Soul Realm.”

As his words fell, the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon, which had been flying at high speed, abruptly came to a halt.

Then, it turned around and came back over the two of them.

On the head of the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon stood a man with a cold face, a middle-aged man. Behind him were more than a dozen individuals dressed in Holy Dragon Academy uniforms, their gazes falling on Sikong Ling, showing a strange expression.

Immediately after, the middle-aged man slowly spoke out, ”Wangyou Sect Great Elder Mo Sang, Wangyou Sect Young Master... Wang Ge!”

As the name ”Wang Ge” was mentioned, it was accompanied by a surge of murderous intent.

The middle-aged man named Lian Kegu was none other than Lian Zhiyu’s father. He had been away on business, so he only received news of Lian Zhiyu’s death within the last couple of days, and after getting the message, he rushed to seek revenge at the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace.

He was now en route to the War Soul Sacred Dragon Palace when he happened to encounter the two.

And of course, the information he had made it clear about the close relationship between Wang Ge and Sikong Jing. Seeing Sikong Ling now, he was filled with boundless hatred and wished he could kill this woman immediately.

Therefore, he continued coldly, ”You two even have the leisure to wander around the Northern Mountains. Wang Ge, do you not know that your master Mo Ci has been killed?”

Upon hearing this, the originally composed Sikong Ling’s eyes widened, and she asked in a cold voice, ”What did you say? My master is dead?”

At this moment, Sikong Ling couldn’t believe it.

”Yes, your master is dead, he died at your...”

Just as Lian Kegu was about to say the three words ”Sikong Jing,” the Great Elder hastily exclaimed, ”Elder Lian, my Wangyou Sect still owes you a favor. If you can help our Wangyou Sect, we will owe you a second one.”

She absolutely couldn’t let Wang Ge hear the name Sikong Jing. Now, in the entire Wangyou Sect, only Wang Ge could cultivate the Supreme Forget Love Technique.

Wang Ge must not die!

Lian Kegu’s expression momentarily stiffened, and the Great Elder quickly said, ”Elder Lian, we have a common goal, and we share the same enemy. You should be very clear about that, please help our Wangyou Sect.”

Their common enemy was Sikong Jing; they both wanted to kill Sikong Jing.

A moment passed, then two, then three...

Lian Kegu suddenly burst into laughter, then said coldly, ”Fine, but remember, you owe me two favors.”

Having said that, Lian Kegu no longer wasted words and rode the Blood Refining Chasing Dragon away.

Having gained two favors from the Wangyou Sect for no reason at all, Lian Kegu was, needless to say, satisfied...

Although Wang Ge had a close relationship with Sikong Jing, there was no need for him to offend the Wangyou Sect, as long as he could kill Sikong Jing.

As for the so-called favors, they were of course the compensation for the Great Elder’s prevention of uttering the name ”Sikong Jing.”

In the mountains, the Great Elder was biting her teeth hard; she was nearly scared to death.

It was then that Sikong Ling’s utterly bewildered voice came from behind, ”Great Elder, is my master really dead?”

The Great Elder’s whole body shook, and she harbored deep resentment toward Lian Kegu.

In the end, she could only nod heavily and respond with a sigh, ”Alas, I can’t hide it from you anymore. I didn’t want to tell you just yet, I wanted you to focus on your cultivation for the time being.”

Still looking bewildered, Sikong Ling asked blankly, ”Who killed my master?”
