Chapter 668: Chapter 668: Sikong Jing Is the Dark Wings

”If you were Lu Lungan, would you do this?” Sikong Jing asked in response.

Upon hearing this, Lian Guang immediately put himself in Lu Lungan’s shoes, and his whole body trembled violently... Back in the Youyuan Twelve States, when Commander Sikong was acting as the temporary leader, he would infuriate Lu Lungan to the point of coughing up blood every day.

Every day, the enemy was at the gates, and if it weren’t for the sudden arrival of Cheng Yusu, the Youyuan Twelve States would have been taken long ago.

Lu Lungan would have been sent scurrying with his tail between his legs.

Such a terrifying General Marshal, if I were Lu Lungan, I would never let go, even if the sky fell and the earth cracked open.

There are only two choices for Sikong Jing, either to kill or to recruit!

Just as Lian Guang’s expression kept changing, Sikong Jing gave a firm order, ”Immediately send a message to General Ning, telling him to lead a million Soul Stealers out of the Soul Penetration Mountain and attack towards the Northern Mountain, then from the Northern Mountain to return to the Long Night Empire!”

Lian Guang was now certain that Lu Lungan would do whatever it took and did not dare to delay, so he took the command and sent the message.

”Now let’s also head north immediately, to meet up with General Ning at the Northern Mountain,” Sikong Jing ordered again.

Then, the seven hundred Absolute Night Wolf Guards sprang into action.

But before that, Sikong Jing had to deal with the Iron Bone Flying Vulture, which needed time to recover, likely at least two to three months.

Naturally, he couldn’t just leave it here, and its huge form was too big to bring along.

Thus, Sikong Jing had the Absolute Night Wolf Guards take it to a hidden cave in the Nonghun Mountain, set up a simple formation, and left the Ice Soul Cold Eagle to guard the place.

Next, Sikong Jing released the Demon Dragon and gave Qiu Qifeng a letter and an item to deliver.

After everything was settled, they continued their journey through the Nonghun Mountain, making quick progress towards the direction of the Northern Mountain.

And Sikong Jing could only continue onward while healing his injuries.

...

Shortly after, within the Imperial Advisor Mansion.

Lu Lungan trembled violently, just as Sikong Jing had described, analyzing every single battle report of the Soul Stealers in Wang Hun State, until he saw the last move Sikong Jing forced upon Gongyang Ying.

That is to say...stabbing the Youyuan Twelve States in the back!

He trembled even more fiercely, eyes flickering with murderous intent, yet also appearing distinctly alarmed and fearful.

Next to him, Gongyang Ren asked somewhat absentmindedly, ”Commander Lu, what’s wrong? Sikong Jing’s performance on the battlefield of Wang Hun State was indeed remarkable, but surely it’s not enough to surprise you to this extent?”

He was puzzled. Given Lu Lungan’s temperament, he shouldn’t be so agitated over such a minor battlefield.

However, when Lu Lungan looked up, his eyes were bloodshot, and he growled, ”Dark Wings, Sikong Jing is Dark Wings!”

As Sikong Jing thought, Lu Lungan was not just for show; he was an extremely formidable marshal of the War Soul Dynasty.

He had always been curious about what Shihun relied on to sweep through Wang Hun State. He didn’t have time to analyze during the recent conflict in the Youyuan Twelve States, but now, realizing that Shihun was not the previously known Liu Dacheng, he paid even closer attention.

Hence, he asked Gongyang Ren for all the battle information from Wang Hun State...

And without analyzing it, it didn’t matter much, but once he did analyze, he was almost scared senseless.

The maneuvering and formation patterns were strikingly similar to those of Dark Wings. Coupled with what Gongyang Ying said about the seven hundred Wolf Blood Warriors of the Soul Stealers, and considering the combat capabilities and execution...

Suddenly, the answer was unveiled in his heart.

Even Gongyang Ren snapped to attention and asked, still somewhat confused, ”Dark Wings, who is Dark Wings?”

As the State Preceptor, although he was also concerned with the situation in the Youyuan Twelve States, Lu Lungan had been beaten so badly that some matters were not reported towards the War Soul Imperial Capital.

As a result, Gongyang Ren’s memory of the name ’Dark Wings’ was not very clear.

”It’s the one who became the temporary commander of the Long Night Army after the death of Beigong Xianfeng,” Lu Lungan’s voice grew increasingly hoarse.

Gongyang Ren hesitated for a moment, then suddenly had an epiphany.

”I remember he was a young man wearing a mask?”

”It seems like Beigong Xianfeng even formed a formidable force of elite soldiers in the Dark Wing Camp... Hm? Sikong Jing is Dark Wings?”

Suddenly, he realized something, and his eyebrows furrowed again, ”Is that possible? Didn’t you say Dark Wings was already dead?”

Gongyang Ren finally remembered the matter completely, having been told that Dark Wings had perished in the inner strife of the Long Night Empire, specifically by the hand of Cheng Yusu. How could he have suddenly become Sikong Jing?

Upon this, Lu Lungan seemed to have been awakened and his eyes widened.

”Dark Wing Camp, damn it, the Soul Stealers are the Dark Wing Camp!”

”And there’s more... The Soul Stealers were in the Soul Penetration Mountain, where Cheng Yusu sent the Long Night Black Burning 66th Corps to charge into our territory like a sacrificial lamb, then escaped into the mountain to trigger a Beast Tide!”

”The army that chased after them all died, and the Long Night Black Burning 66th Corps should have died under the Beast Tide as well.”

”But if they were the Dark Wing Camp, if Sikong Jing is Dark Wings...”

”Then, at that time, he would have had an entire Iron Bone Flying Vulture at his disposal, with such a terrifying Reverse Soul Realm demon beast present. That Beast Tide was definitely triggered on purpose, and the 66th Corps didn’t actually perish in the Tide.”

”Triggering the Beast Tide was for the sole purpose of deceiving their way into the War Soul Dynasty!”

Lu Lungan analyzed continuously, trembling more and more uncontrollably, his whole body becoming numb.

Meanwhile, Gongyang Ren beside him listened with a confused face, completely clueless about what Lu Lungan was talking about... As before, the details of those disgraceful campaigns weren’t reported by Lu Lungan yet.

But this time, he couldn’t hold back anymore and began to reveal everything about the near ten-day fight against Dark Wings, as well as the matter of the 66th Corps and the Beast Tide in the Soul Penetration Mountain Range...

When Gongyang Ren heard the whole story, he was stunned.

Sikong Jing was Dark Wings, and he had led a force of two hundred thousand elite soldiers from the Long Night to infiltrate the War Soul Dynasty.

Confounded, utterly confounded.

Then, Lu Lungan continued his analysis, ”Assuming his two hundred thousand soldiers needed a new identity, wouldn’t defeating the Soul Stealers give them a new one? One we would never suspect.”

”Because we all thought they had died in the Beast Tide, so we would never doubt...”

”Look again at the battle with the mountain bandits in Wang Hun State, it’s full of traces of Dark Wings!”

At this moment, Gongyang Ren completely understood, but his entire body trembled violently. If everything was as Lu Lungan had conjectured, the entire War Soul Dynasty had been played by Sikong Jing.

He didn’t just kill Shihun and take his place; he wiped out the entire Soul Stealers and replaced them with the Dark Wing Camp.

”Someone, come here quickly!” Just then, Lu Lungan called out forcefully.

When his general arrived swiftly, Lu Lungan, with a face full of frenzy, ordered, ”I want ten million troops relocated from the battlefield of the Youyuan Twelve States into the Soul Penetration Mountain Range, I will capture the Soul Stealers once and for all!”

At these words, Gongyang Ren was shocked.

He quickly interjected, ”Commander Lu, this must not be done. The Youyuan Twelve States are of the utmost importance, we cannot reallocate so many people.”

How could they carry on the war with the Long Night Empire if ten million troops were relocated?

”No, there are still too few,” Lu Lungan replied.

”Reassign twenty million troops, completely surround the Soul Penetration Mountain Range, and let not even a fly escape.”

Lu Lungan would not listen to persuasion, roaring incessantly, increasing troops and horses!

This time, even the obeying general was dumbfounded.

And Lu Lungan shouted at him, spitting as he spoke, ”Go immediately, without the slightest delay.”

The general, frightened, could only take the orders quickly and hurriedly left.
