Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 134: Chapter 118: Golden Deer’s Ear, Iron Armor Turtle Marquis

Before long, Roy arrived at Rock Lion Castle.

Just as before, he didn’t use the main gate. Instead, he scaled the wall like an assassin, made his way to the main keep, and headed straight for Catherine’s bedroom.

Once on the fifth floor, he slipped through the window into Catherine’s bedroom.

Roy didn’t make much noise, but his arrival still woke the sleeping Catherine.

Hearing the sound by the window, Catherine—clad in a sexy, lace nightgown—snapped her eyes open and instantly began to circulate her Fighting Qi.

Just as she was about to release her Fighting Qi for protection, Roy’s voice rang out.

”Don’t be alarmed. It’s me.”

Roy said, walking toward Catherine.

”What are you doing here?”

”Did something happen?”

Catherine immediately stopped circulating her Fighting Qi. A look of confusion on her face, she asked softly, watching Roy.

It wasn’t the first time Roy had come to her late at night, but he always gave her advance notice. He never just showed up unannounced like this.

”It’s nothing. I just missed you.”

Roy said calmly, stopping in front of her.

He had no intention of telling Catherine that the Ironblood Duke had hired Thomas to assassinate him.

The matter was already resolved.

Telling Catherine now would only make her worry for nothing.

Roy’s expression and tone were calm, but Catherine wasn’t a fool.

A single glance at the bloodstains on his clothes told her he’d been in a fight before he arrived.

After a few seconds of thought, the ever-perceptive Catherine didn’t press him for details. Instead, she rose to her knees on the bed and, raising her jade-white hands, began to help him out of his clothes like a handmaiden.

Roy didn’t stop her.

This was, after all, why he had come to Rock Lion Castle.

However, once his clothes were off, he didn’t immediately get down to business. Instead, he swept Catherine up into his arms and carried her toward the bathroom.

Catherine instantly knew what he had in mind. She wrapped her arms around his neck, an alluring blush spreading across her cheeks.

Before long, sounds not meant for children’s ears echoed from the bathroom.

...

「The next day at noon.」

The Red Salmon and Cherry Pie tavern.

After lunch at Rock Lion Castle, Roy left Catherine behind and went to the tavern alone to find Sandru.

”Have you found an Inheritance Map for a Defense Type Exemplary Breathing Technique?”

Roy took a sip of the red wine in front of him and asked Sandru.

Sandru shook his head, a look of resignation on his face. ”Not many people are willing to sell a Breathing Technique Inheritance Map in the first place, let alone a Defense Type one of the Excellent Level.”

Though he didn’t know why Roy was only looking for an Inheritance Map for a Defense Type Exemplary Breathing Technique, Sandru didn’t ask.

Hearing Sandru’s answer, Roy frowned slightly.

After a few seconds, he asked, ”Then do you know of any families in Green Province that cultivate a Defense Type Exemplary Breathing Technique?”

’If no one is selling, I’ll have to find another way.’

”Are you planning to seize their Breathing Technique Inheritance Map?”

Sandru asked immediately.

”Of course not.”

”I’m just going to go and have a chat with them. See if there’s anything they need the Dark Night Knight’s help with.”

Roy said calmly.

’Seizing it would be the simplest and most direct approach, but I’m not going to do that. I’ve never considered myself a good person, but that doesn’t mean I have no morals. I have my own principles.’

Sandru wracked his brain for a moment before saying slowly, ”As far as I know, there aren’t any families in Green Province that cultivate a Defense Type Exemplary Breathing Technique.”

”If I remember correctly, the Morrison Clan in Noson Province cultivates the Iron Armor Turtle Breathing Method, which is an Excellent Level Defensive Breathing Technique.”

”However, the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis is an old-fashioned, stubborn man, and he’s very difficult to deal with. Getting the Inheritance Map for the Iron Armor Turtle Breathing Method from him peacefully will be extremely difficult.”

”He’s also a staunch member of the Royal Faction.”

”Rumor has it that when his eldest son, Spencer, abandoned the Eldest Prince and returned to the castle from the Southern Territory with his Clan Knights and troops, the very first thing the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis did was break both of Spencer’s legs.”

”If Spencer’s mother and the others hadn’t pleaded for mercy, the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis might have beaten him to death.”

”The Morrison Clan is currently giving their full support to the Eldest Prince’s efforts to control Noson Province, and you just had a falling out with the Prince not long ago.”

Sandru had no doubt that Roy could seize the Inheritance Map for the Iron Armor Turtle Breathing Method from the Morrison Clan by force if he wanted to.

The problem was, Roy had no intention of doing so.

”The Morrison Clan, you say? I’ll head over in a few days and take a look.”

With that, Roy got ready to leave the tavern and return to Ice Wolf Castle.

He had just stood up, however, when Sandru stopped him and said quickly, ”Um... the person in charge of our organization in the Laine Kingdom—my superior—wants to meet the Dark Night Knight.”

”We can talk about it later. I’ve been busy.”

Roy replied instantly, without a moment’s hesitation.

’I don’t know why Sandru’s superior wants to meet the Dark Night Knight, but I have no intention of meeting with them right now. My Golden Deer Breathing Technique hasn’t reached Tier Eight yet, and the Bronze Bear Breathing Technique needs a Defense Type Exemplary Breathing Technique to advance. Plus, the Ironblood Duke is still alive.’
