Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 115: Chapter 111: One Against Five, a Great Master Raises a Brilliant Disciple

Near the castle’s main gate.

Five knights in black armor were on a killing spree atop the castle walls.

Due to the distance and poor lighting, Roy couldn’t make out their faces.

But one thing was certain: they were all Great Knights.

Outside their black armor, they were covered in the Fighting Qi Armor that only a Great Knight could create.

Furthermore, the weapons they wielded were also Fighting Qi Weapons, formed from condensed Fighting Qi.

Roy’s brow furrowed slightly upon realizing all five were Great Knights.

He had guessed that the warning from his Spiritual sense was about the Ironblood Duke’s revenge.

But he hadn’t expected the Ironblood Duke to simply send five Great Knights instead of coming himself.

It was a little surprising, but he didn’t waste time guessing the Duke’s reasons. Instead, he started thinking about how he was going to take out these five Great Knights.

After a moment of thought, Roy quickly made a decision.

Wasting no more time, he drew the Cross Sword from his waist.

Just as he was about to jump straight down from the viewing balcony, Catherine spoke up. ”I have a set of armor and a mask similar to the Dark Night Knight’s.”

Catherine was one of only two people who knew he was the Dark Night Knight.

Seeing him pause to think before drawing his Fine Steel Cross Sword, Catherine’s first thought was that he didn’t want to expose his identity.

”That won’t be necessary.”

Roy replied calmly.

”Are you planning to reveal that you’re the Dark Night Knight?”

Catherine looked at Roy, surprised.

”Of course not.”

”I just plan on letting everyone see what it means for a great master to produce a brilliant student.”

”The Dark Night Knight can easily slay a Bronze Great Knight.”

”As the Dark Night Knight’s only student, it wouldn’t be particularly strange for me to rely on powerful Secret Techniques to overcome a stronger foe and defeat five Black Iron Great Knights.”

Roy said with a smile.

’The Dark Night Knight persona will have to be retired sooner or later, but not now.’

’More importantly, it’s time to build up the hype for my own advancement to Great Knight.’

It was common knowledge that immense pressure, the threat of Death itself, was one of the fastest shortcuts to a breakthrough.

This was especially true after winning a near-fatal battle.

According to common perception, someone like him, who had just ”advanced” to Peak Knight a little over a month ago, would need at least three or four months for a chance to become a Great Knight.

Even the twelve Legendary Knights who stood at the pinnacle of the continent had spent several months at the Peak Knight stage.

Because of this, a rumor had started to circulate.

If someone could advance from Peak Knight to Great Knight within three months without relying on any Special means, it meant they had the potential to become a Legendary Knight.

Hearing Roy’s answer, Catherine immediately guessed he was trying to build momentum for his advancement to Great Knight. She said softly, ”They won’t be a match for you, but don’t underestimate them. There are five of them, after all.”

”Don’t worry, I won’t gamble with my own Life.”

After speaking, Roy leaped from the balcony, executing a perfect superhero landing.

To avoid revealing his monstrous, inhuman physical attributes, he deliberately released his Fighting Qi, shrouding his entire body in Silver-White Fighting Qi.

After landing in the plaza in front of the main building, he didn’t hesitate for a moment. Gripping the Fine Steel Cross Sword wreathed in Silver-White Fighting Qi, he sprinted toward the castle walls by the main gate.

The castle walls had originally been manned by numerous Official Knights and soldiers.

Now, apart from the five Black Iron Great Knights, there wasn’t a single living soul on the walls, only bodies scattered everywhere.

Although many Knights and soldiers had rushed over, not a single one dared to go up to the walls and stop the five Black Iron Great Knights.

On one hand, the massive gap in strength was a deterrent.

On the other hand, they had seen the family crest on the enemy’s armor.

It was the crest of the Iron Blood Dukedom Clan.

Unlike these Official Knights and soldiers who didn’t dare set foot on the walls, Roy, cloaked in Silver-White Fighting Qi, charged straight for them.

Upon reaching the base of the wall, he bent his legs slightly and pushed off.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, he leaped onto the wall, a height of ten to twenty meters.

The five Black Iron Great Knights recognized him almost instantly.

Before he could say a word, one of the Black Iron Great Knights, holding a Fighting Qi Two-Handed Axe, shot toward him.

This Black Iron Great Knight’s Speed was immense.

In the blink of an eye, he was in front of Roy, his Fighting Qi Two-Handed Axe swinging down toward Roy’s head.

Although the move was simple, its power was anything but.

If nothing else, one glance at the speed of the descending Fighting Qi Two-Handed Axe was enough to know the attack wouldn’t be weak.

If anyone other than Roy—any other Peak Knight—were facing this move, they likely wouldn’t even have time to react.

Roy clearly saw the Black Iron Great Knight’s approach and the descent of the Fighting Qi Two-Handed Axe, but he neither dodged nor retreated. Instead, he swung his Fine Steel Cross Sword.

To everyone else, his counterattack seemed more than a little reckless.

Never mind that his opponent was a Black Iron Great Knight.

Even if his opponent were another Peak Knight, using a Cross Sword to block a Two-Handed Axe was hardly a wise decision.

However, this seemingly reckless counterattack produced a shocking result.

BOOM!

The Fine Steel Cross Sword, wreathed in Silver-White Fighting Qi, slammed violently against the blade of the Fighting Qi Two-Handed Axe, creating a massive explosion of sound.

As the explosion echoed, the head of the Fighting Qi Two-Handed Axe shattered.
