Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 116: Chapter 111: One Against Five, A Great Teacher Produces a Brilliant Student

How could this be possible?

Upon witnessing this scene, everyone—from the Black Iron Great Knight attacking Roy, to the other four Black Iron Great Knights, and even the Official Knights and soldiers below the wall—wore expressions of utter disbelief.

Aside from Roy and Catherine, this scene had taken everyone completely by surprise.

Dragon’s Battle Roar!

Roy paid no mind to the others’ shock, opening his mouth to let out a roar like that of an Ancient Giant Dragon.

To make his Dragon’s Battle Roar seem different from the Dark Night Knight’s, he even deliberately lowered the volume slightly.

Although the volume was lower, the Dragon Mighty within the roar had not weakened in the slightest.

The moment he heard the dragon’s roar, the Black Iron Great Knight before him revealed an expression of irrepressible shock.

SHINK!

The Fine Steel Cross Sword, wreathed in Silver-White Fighting Qi, immediately slashed across his neck, beheading him in a single strike.

The outcome of the battle was decided from the very beginning.

For Roy, the challenge in this one-on-five fight wasn’t defeating the five Black Iron Great Knights, but rather making it look like a difficult, near-death victory.

Holding back in a fight was simple enough, but doing so naturally and convincingly, without leaving any openings, was no easy task.

Acting like some dominant champion who intentionally misses a shot to let their opponent score—a clumsy, obvious move for the whole world to see—would simply be too unconvincing.

After beheading the Black Iron Great Knight before him with a single strike, Roy deliberately withdrew some of his Silver-White Fighting Qi, creating the impression that he had expended a massive amount of it.

At the same time, with superb acting, he put on an expression of fatigue—one he seemed to be trying to hide, but couldn’t quite conceal.

Not only that, but he also deliberately added a few small, seemingly insignificant but essential actions.

For example, his right hand trembled slightly, and his breathing began to grow ragged.

To pull off this performance, Roy could be said to have drawn on all the acting skills he had honed since crossing over into this world.

Roy’s efforts were not in vain!

Seeing the exhaustion and fatigue he deliberately displayed, a single thought flashed through the minds of the other four Black Iron Great Knights.

’He must have used some costly Secret Technique to boost his power!’

As the saying goes, seeing is believing!

Not only had the four Black Iron Great Knights witnessed Roy’s exhaustion firsthand, but they also used their own assumptions to construct a ”truth” for themselves—an explanation for how he had killed their comrade.

Although this development was not what they had expected, they quickly made a decision.

’Finish the mission as quickly as possible, before the Dark Night Knight arrives!’

Without any hesitation, the four Black Iron Great Knights attacked simultaneously with perfect coordination.

Faced with their assault, Roy made a choice that perfectly suited his current ”condition.”

Flee!

The moment the four Black Iron Great Knights launched their attack, he didn’t hesitate for a second, immediately leaping off the city wall and beginning his escape.

Seeing him flee without a second thought, the four Black Iron Great Knights became even more convinced of their judgment and immediately gave chase.

「In the time that followed.」

Roy and the four Black Iron Great Knights proceeded to enact a grand chase scene throughout Rock Lion Castle.

In the process of fleeing, Roy didn’t forget to counterattack.

At first, all four remaining Black Iron Great Knights were pursuing him.

After realizing they couldn’t catch him for the time being as he leaped and scrambled all over the place, the four Black Iron Great Knights split into two groups.

One group continued to pursue him, while the other went to assassinate Catherine.

Roy had originally planned to play with them a little longer.

For instance, dragging it out for half an hour before staging a dramatic comeback, a hard-fought victory of the weak against the strong.

However, when he saw two of the Black Iron Great Knights give up the chase and turn to assassinate Catherine, he immediately changed his mind.

Fun and games were one thing...

He had no desire to see Catherine killed.

Frost Slash!

He raised his Fine Steel Cross Sword and, with a flick of his wrist, unleashed a Frost Slash.

Seeing the Frost Slash he released, the Black Iron Great Knight pursuing him revealed a disdainful expression and swung his own Fighting Qi Cross Sword.

Fighting Qi Slash!

In the blink of an eye, the ice-blue Frost Slash collided with the white Fighting Qi Slash.

BOOM!

A massive explosion instantly erupted.

The white Fighting Qi Slash shattered instantly, while the ice-blue Frost Slash continued on toward the Black Iron Great Knight.

’That’s not a Fighting Qi Slash!’

The Black Iron Great Knight who had unleashed the Fighting Qi Slash reacted at once.

Just as he tried to dodge the Frost Slash, Roy’s follow-up move arrived.

Dragon Mighty!

The Dragon Mighty, imperceptible to the naked eye, instantly locked onto the Black Iron Great Knight. An intense, instinctual fear instantly seized his entire mind, and he stood frozen in place as if scared stiff.

SLASH!

The Frost Slash passed through the man’s waist, slicing him in two.

At the same time, Roy struck like lightning at the last Black Iron Great Knight pursuing him.

Seeing his comrade stand still and allow the Frost Slash to hit him, this Black Iron Great Knight realized something was terribly wrong.

But Roy gave him no more time to think.

This time, he didn’t hold back, erupting with his top Speed and appearing before his opponent in an instant.

He didn’t use any more Secret Techniques. Instead, he thrust his Fine Steel Cross Sword straight forward.

SHINK!

The Cross Sword precisely struck the Black Iron Great Knight’s throat, piercing through his neck as easily as stabbing through a cream cake.
