Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 104: Chapter 102: Scumbag and Responsibility

You’ve been keeping it locked up in a secret room and a cage, never letting it have any contact with the outside world. It’d be a miracle if it wasn’t aggressive!

Although he knew Miria had no choice but to imprison the Three-headed Dog in the underground chamber, he had to admit her method wasn’t very wise.

Forget about an Extraordinary Creature like a Three-headed Dog.

Even a normal pet dog, if locked in a sunless underground chamber and a cage since it was a puppy, would grow more and more bad-tempered.

When Miria finished her story, Roy stroked her chiseled shoulders and said, ”If you need, I can help you train the Three-headed Dog and make it more obedient.”

”Also, you should probably find a different place to keep it from now on. Don’t continue raising it in the underground chamber.”

”I know what you’re worried about. You’re afraid that if Count Frost Bear finds out the Three-headed Dog is still alive, he’ll orchestrate another ’Snow Fox Tragedy’.”

”Although I’m not a Great Knight yet, I have ways to make sure Count Frost Bear won’t dare to act rashly.”

In the past, Roy would have had no interest in helping Miria deal with Count Frost Bear and the Three-headed Dog.

But now, he didn’t mind lending her a hand.

Miria was silent for a few seconds.

Then, looking at Roy with beautiful eyes that shimmered like autumn pools, she asked softly, ”Are you planning to ask Lord Dark Night Knight to warn Count Frost Bear?”

”There’s no need to trouble my teacher over such a small matter. I can handle it myself.”

Roy replied quickly.

”How do you plan to handle it?”

”Are you going to Frost Bear Castle to assassinate him?”

Miria continued to ask.

Roy knew Miria wanted nothing more than to kill Count Frost Bear immediately, but he had no intention of assassinating him.

Killing Count Frost Bear was indeed the simplest and most brutish solution.

But there were other ways besides murder.

For example, he could have Xiaobai come stay at Snow Fox Castle for a while, or he could publicly announce that Miria was his woman.

As long as Count Frost Bear wasn’t a complete idiot, he wouldn’t dare do anything reckless once he knew Miria had a close relationship with him.

A fully grown Three-headed Dog could indeed possess power on par with a Black Iron Great Knight.

But completely offending him over a Three-headed Dog that wasn’t even fully grown was, by any measure, not worth it.

”It’s not time to kill him yet.”

”After I return to the Ice Wolf Domain, I’ll have Xiaobai... that is, the Earth Dragon my teacher gave me, come over to Snow Fox Castle and stay for a while.”

”As long as Count Frost Bear’s mind is working properly, he’ll guess that you and I have a very close relationship.”

”Also, after Xiaobai gets here, you can bring the Three-headed Dog out of the underground chamber and raise it right here in the castle.”

”I’ll order Xiaobai to listen to your commands and have him help you tame and train the Three-headed Dog.”

Roy said, unhurried.

”Mhm!”

Miria gazed at Roy, her eyes full of affection, and replied at once.

Before offering herself to him as a gift, she had already mentally prepared for the possibility that Roy might be a scumbag.

After all, most of the young nobles in this world were scumbags.

Although she didn’t know if Roy, after taking her innocence, would just pull up his pants and run like other young nobles,

she had decided to take the gamble anyway.

Before the four Dukes launched their rebellion, she had thought she would have plenty of time to methodically advance to Great Knight and then personally avenge her dead parents and clansmen.

As it turned out, her plans had been a bit too optimistic.

Or perhaps, the world had once again proven that plans can never keep up with reality.

After personally witnessing Roy cripple Garrett and his four companions at the Sleeping Beauty Tavern as easily as slicing melons, not only did the thought that she could never catch up to him in her lifetime cross her mind, but so did the idea of winning him over at her own expense.

On the way back to Snow Fox Castle from Bear Claw City, Miria had thought it over for more than an hour before finally deciding to gamble with her innocence.

Her intuition told her that Roy might not be the type to love her and leave her, unlike other young nobles.

Besides, even if she lost the gamble, she would accept it.

Just as Roy was about to say something more, Miria interrupted him with her actions.

As he watched, Miria, her pretty face flushed, proactively rolled on top of him, straddling him and beginning to demonstrate with her actions what it meant to be a Female Knight.

He had to admit, Miria’s move had taken him by surprise.

Surprise or not,

he was thoroughly enjoying Miria’s current offensive.

Soon, the sounds of a card game not suitable for children echoed through the room once more.

...

「The next day at noon.」

In the dining hall on the first floor of Snow Fox Castle’s main building, Roy and Miria, having only recently woken up, arrived together.

Miria’s younger sister, Elena, was already in the dining hall enjoying her lunch.

Upon seeing them, her gaze fell unconsciously on Roy, and she began to study him seriously.

At this point, she still didn’t know who Roy was.

However, she knew that Miria had been ”playing around” with Roy late into the night before going to sleep.

The main building of Snow Fox Castle wasn’t very large.

And her bedroom wasn’t very far from the guest room Roy was staying in.

More importantly, Miria had been a little loud last night.

At first, she had found it strange that Miria would go to rest in a guest room, and stranger still that she was making such odd noises.

After asking a maid, she learned that Miria had brought a handsome stranger back to the castle.

While Elena was sizing him up, Roy was also sizing her up.

Elena’s looks bore a strong resemblance to Miria’s, but her figure was much more modest in comparison.

Aside from that, she also lacked Miria’s valiant, heroic aura—the air of a woman who could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with any man.

Elena was three years younger than Miria, only nineteen this year.

Although she was already an adult, she still gave off the impression of a naive young girl.

Soon, Roy and Miria reached the long dining table.

Miria didn’t take the head seat at the front of the long table as she usually did, but instead sat down opposite Elena.

As for Roy, he sat down to her left.

After sitting down, Miria didn’t hesitate at all, immediately introducing Roy to Elena.

”This is Roy, the student of the Dark Night Knight and the younger brother of Baron Ice Wolf.”

Miria said slowly.

The moment she finished speaking, Elena asked a completely unexpected question: ”Will he marry you?”

’What?’

Elena’s question not only took Miria by surprise, but Roy as well.

Just as Miria was struggling with how to answer Elena, Roy’s voice rang out.

”I will marry Miria, but as for when, that hasn’t been decided yet.”

Roy looked at Elena with a calm expression and spoke slowly.

After discovering that Miria, just like Catherine, was an inexperienced novice, he had changed his plans.

Marriage was something that hadn’t been part of his initial plans.

But last night, during his moment of post-nut clarity, he had given it some serious thought and decided it would be better to give both Miria and Catherine a formal status.

However, he didn’t plan on marrying both of them right away.

Or rather, he had no intention of holding a wedding before becoming an Official Wizard.

Hearing his answer, both Miria and Elena wore expressions of surprise.

Miria was surprised because Roy had never mentioned this to her, and she hadn’t intended to force him to marry her or give her a formal status.

As for Elena,

she was surprised purely because she hadn’t expected Roy to answer so decisively.

Although she didn’t know how Miria and Roy had met, the moment she saw his face, she had thought he looked no different from those irresponsible scumbags in noble circles.

However, as it turned out, although Roy’s handsome face had the look of a scumbag, he was actually quite responsible.

If nothing else, he would definitely take responsibility for his actions.
