Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 106: Chapter 104: Dog Training, Dog-Beating Stick

”It’s been like this for a long time, hasn’t it?”

Roy ignored the Three-headed Dog’s roars and turned to ask Miria.

”Yes, for several years now.”

Miria looked helplessly at the Three-headed Dog in the iron cage.

”So, who usually feeds it? You or Elena?”

Roy continued to ask.

”Mostly me.”

”Unless I’m away from the castle, I’m always the one who feeds it.”

Miria replied.

Hearing her answer, Roy frowned slightly.

After a moment of thought, he continued, ”Have you ever tried beating it?”

”No.”

Miria shook her head.

When the Three-headed Dog first showed such intense hostility, she had considered beating it into submission.

But in the end, she dismissed the idea.

A Three-headed Dog is no ordinary hound or pet.

It’s an Extraordinary Creature on par with Earth Dragons, Two-legged Flying Dragons, Griffins, and Scorpion-tailed Beasts, with much higher intelligence than a common animal.

Normal dog training methods might not work on it, and there was a high chance it would only make the creature even more hostile toward her.

Besides, she couldn’t bring herself to do it.

Even though the Three-headed Dog had a terrible temper now, she had raised it herself.

After Miria finished, Roy said unhurriedly, ”Since you’ve never beaten it, let me do it.”

”What happens next might get a little brutal. It’s probably best if you aren’t here. Go wait for me outside.”

As he spoke, his gaze fell back on the Three-headed Dog.

Hearing his words, Miria frowned and said, ”Will beating it really work?”

Roy knew what Miria was worried about and said slowly, ”Of course it will.”

”The only reason Teacher tamed Xiaobai so easily was because he beat Xiaobai senseless, completely breaking its will.”

”If even Xiaobai, who was close to its Mature Stage, could be beaten into submission, then of course a juvenile Three-headed Dog can be too.”

That may be so, but Miria was still a little worried.

After a few seconds of silence, she looked at Roy and said softly, ”Alright, I’ll leave it in your hands then.”

”Don’t worry, there won’t be any problems.”

Roy replied.

”Okay.”

Miria nodded, took the key to the iron cage from her clothes, and handed it to Roy.

Roy said no more and took the key from Miria.

As he watched, Miria turned, left the secret room, and closed the heavy metal door.

Once Miria was gone, Roy wasted no time. He immediately went to the walls of the secret room and unlocked the chains one by one.

After undoing all the chains, he didn’t open the cage right away. Instead, he locked onto the Three-headed Dog with his Spiritual Power.

The next second, he decisively unleashed his Dragon Mighty.

He didn’t let out the roar of an Ancient Giant Dragon, but merely looked calmly at the Three-headed Dog inside the cage.

But the creature still felt an intense, instinctual fear welling up from deep within.

Even Xiaobai, who was about to enter its Mature Stage, couldn’t resist the effects of Dragon Mighty, so of course a juvenile Three-headed Dog stood no chance.

The moment the Dragon Mighty washed over it, the Three-headed Dog, which had been roaring madly at him, immediately shut its mouths and fell silent.

At the same time, it unconsciously retreated to the very back of the cage, its three heads lowering in unison, not daring to meet his gaze.

Seeing this, Roy knew that taming the Three-headed Dog would be much easier than taming Xiaobai.

Back then, he had to strike Xiaobai’s head dozens of times with his Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff, literally beating it into a concussion before it finally chose to submit with nowhere left to run.

This Three-headed Dog, however, showed instinctual fear after just a brief display of his Dragon Mighty.

From this point alone, he could tell the Three-headed Dog would be easier to tame than Xiaobai.

Roy wasted no time and opened the gate of the iron cage.

Then, he stopped releasing his Dragon Mighty and backed away several meters.

Once Roy retracted his Dragon Mighty, the Three-headed Dog in the cage instantly reverted to its previous state. Its three heads lifted simultaneously, and it bared its sharp teeth at him with a low growl.

The Three-headed Dog was, without a doubt, an Extraordinary Creature.

But it was obvious that having been raised in a cage since it was a pup, its intelligence couldn’t compare to others of its kind that grew up in the wild.

A Three-headed Dog raised in the wild, even after Roy had retracted his Dragon Mighty, wouldn’t have immediately shown such intense hostility. Instead, it would have first observed and tested the situation.

Roy stood his ground calmly, as if he hadn’t even noticed the Three-headed Dog’s animosity.

Under his gaze, the Three-headed Dog, feeling bold again, swaggered majestically out of the cage.

Soon, it was right in front of Roy.

Its three drooling heads were only ten to twenty centimeters away from Roy, its six eyes staring him down as it considered how to tear him apart.

Just as the Three-headed Dog was deciding where to take its first bite, Silver-White Fighting Qi, blazing like a flame, suddenly erupted from Roy’s body.

VWOOM!

In an instant, the Silver-White Fighting Qi enveloped Roy’s entire body, protecting him from every angle.

The sudden change didn’t make the Three-headed Dog retreat cautiously. On the contrary, it solidified its resolve.

The moment the Silver-White Fighting Qi enveloped Roy, the Three-headed Dog’s three heads attacked simultaneously, lunging for his head, left shoulder, and right hand.

BANG!

Just as the Three-headed Dog was about to bite down on Roy, it felt a terrifying force, the likes of which it had never experienced, strike its chest.

Before it could react, it was sent flying uncontrollably, landing back inside the iron cage in the blink of an eye.

If the bars of the cage hadn’t stopped it, it would have slammed hard against the secret room’s wall.

After sending the Three-headed Dog flying with a single punch, Roy flicked his right wrist and performed Fighting Qi Substantiation.

Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff!

The Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff, the same one he had used to tame Xiaobai, appeared in an instant!

Roy had been wondering if he should use his Fighting Qi to form the famous Dog-Beating Stick from wuxia novels to tame the Three-headed Dog.

But after a moment’s thought, he dismissed the idea.

’It’s just taming a juvenile Three-headed Dog. No need to waste extra energy forming a Dog-Beating Stick. The Celestial Dragon Staff will do just fine.’

Roy had just formed the Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff when the Three-headed Dog he had sent flying charged out of the cage as if it had lost its mind, pouncing at him with bared fangs and claws.

Before the Three-headed Dog could get close, Roy swung the Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff.

BANG!

The silver-white Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff slammed heavily into the Three-headed Dog’s body, batting it away.

Just like before, the Three-headed Dog was once again sent flying by Roy.

This time, however, it didn’t fly back into the cage. Instead, it crashed into the wall of the secret room, creating a spiderweb of cracks.

The moment the Three-headed Dog hit the floor, Roy appeared before it like a ghost and swung the Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff again.

BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!...

The Three-headed Dog’s three heads were like a drum set, struck repeatedly by the Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff, producing a rhythmic series of distinct thuds that formed a bizarre percussion piece.

Roy’s ”dog-training march” had been ”playing” for less than a minute before the Three-headed Dog, unable to get back up, began to wail miserably.

WHIMPER... WHIMPER... WHIMPER...

Roy didn’t stop swinging the Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff immediately, continuing to beat the Three-headed Dog’s heads.

Only when the Three-headed Dog didn’t even dare to lift its heads did he finally stop and dismiss the Fighting Qi: Celestial Dragon Staff.
