Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 156: Chapter 15 Player Deputy Mayor—Old Cat_3

Hill’s main goal was to hand over control of the large screen to Old Cat.

Otherwise, as a native lord, there was no way he would allow those gossip live broadcasts from players to be shown on the big screen.

But Hill, who had finally got the chance to watch gossip, definitely didn’t want to give it up.

Old Cat, elated, quickly took control of the large screen and started setting up choices on the control tablet that had been allocated to his territory.

He did know that today the most important event was the celebration, so he first set up the official channels of guilds like Black and White Path and Magic Cult to have broadcast priority, followed by the Witness channels.

Regrettably, at that time, most channels only had past recordings, with no live broadcasts active.

Thus, Old Cat, humming a tune, quickly switched to a live broadcast where beauties were abundant, playing musical instruments, dancing, and singing.

When no one was paying attention, Hill quietly and stealthily slipped into the study on the second floor.

The view was somewhat better here.

Old Cat looked around and, satisfied, began to call over friends.

Xiao Chenhuan was swift to arrive. He found an excellent spot under a large tree between the Lord’s Mansion and the inn, where he laid down a row of homemade sofas.

Hill had looked over his profile, after all, the furniture he made in his spare time was sold to Adrian’s place.

Yue Xiaoluo followed, placing a long bar table in front of the sofas. She took out a lot of drinks and a large amount of food, filling up the table.

Hill estimated that the sofa could seat about 20 people, then glanced sideways at List standing beside him.

”So far, only a dozen members of the Undead Tribe have met the requirements to settle in the territory,

but only 7 have applied, all of them friends.

I’ve already added them to the settlement list, and they are all currently building their houses.” ”Still on that street?”

”Yes, on the side near the stream.”

”All singles?” Hill realized, recalling Old Cat had once mentioned couples living over there.

List nodded slightly, ”There’s one couple who also meet the requirements, but they are still hesitant about selecting a location. Our place here is a bit too desolate for those who love the bustle.”

Leaning against the window, Hill watched as villagers were drawn out by the giant screen, several women actually seemed quite pleased, eagerly watching. Hill glanced at List, who immediately directed the Puppets to install several high-back benches around the small square.

”It looks like they are not saddened in the slightest.” Hill was a bit puzzled.

”They’ve interacted a lot with the Undead.” List said, ”Those male villagers, having become Knights, are a bit arrogant at home.

Having seen the beautiful members of the Undead and the elegant Priestess Olivia, they start to find their own wives unsightly.”

Hill laughed: ”Got beaten up by the Undead?”

”Yes,” List said, ”At that time, everyone was allowed in, and those girls didn’t resort to killing - moreover, the Divine Formation automatically assumed they were not at fault.”

Hill said helplessly, ”It’s just a few cases of the poor suddenly becoming rich; these things always happen. I really don’t know how His Majesty the King will solve the problems of the three countries.”

”That’s a matter for the Deities, not related to us,” List answered calmly.

As night silently fell, suddenly the outside grew noisy; Old Cat seemed to have turned the volume to maximum, and Hill could already hear the voice from Snow Cloud Peak saying, ”Before the celebration officially starts, please everyone enjoy the movie: ’Battle of the Abyss’!”
