Algorithm system

First encounter with gossipSince the System settled the task of successfully enrolling in Zijin Aviation School for Lin Yuan, his computing power has been abundant.

Originally, his daily routine of ’paying tribute’ like a married man was broken.

Lin Yuan had thought about saving his computing power for future unforeseen needs. However, when the System activated its data retrieval ultimate skill, it would clear all accumulated computing power. It seemed the System never intended for Lin Yuan to store too much computing power.

This setting is like a person’s stamina; one cannot store a long bar of stamina to ensure they don’t sleep for a week. The human body’s setting is to enjoy life when it’s time to enjoy it.

Therefore, Lin Yuan was too lazy to sacrifice essence to store too much computing power; he just planned to stabilize his accumulated computing power at around 1000P.

Normally, when he was out walking with Xia Ye, Lin Yuan was always very calm and collected.

Blowing in the gradually cooling evening breeze of Zijin City, he would dispel the day’s fatigue from studying and working. Holding hands was satisfying enough; at most, they would hug when passing through an unmanned, dim corner.

But recently, Lin Yuan always had a subtle urge to get carried away. When passing by hotels outside the school, he always had an impulse to drag Xia Ye inside.

If he and Xia Ye were ’innocent’ before, now he often wanted to be ’intimate’ with Xia Ye.

But he was afraid of scaring Xia Ye, as their interactions before were in the style of a Japanese pure love manga. If it suddenly turned into an FBI Warning opening, he was afraid Xia Ye wouldn’t be able to accept it.

So Lin Yuan decided to endure for now, at least he had some savings, and then make plans after he and Xia Ye met each other’s parents.

On such matters, Lin Yuan was still a traditional person.

But traditional or not, the impulse was real.

”Lin Yuan, why aren’t you walking?”

Looking at Lin Yuan standing still at the entrance of the ”Homecoming” chain hotel, Xia Ye asked with a puzzled look.

”Are you tired? You must be exhausted from delivering food. Do you want to go in and rest for a while?”

On the wall of the lobby of this chain hotel, not far from the school, was clearly written ”Hourly Room 3 hours 80 yuan.”

Those words seemed to have a magical power, making Lin Yuan involuntarily fantasize about some beautiful scenes.

He stared into Xia Ye’s clear, pure eyes like water, ”Go in and rest for a while, and then what?”

”And then what?” Xia Ye asked back, very curious.

”Never mind, let’s go.”

A few minutes later, in a dim corner of an alley, Lin Yuan explored Xia Ye’s cheeks and neck with his lips, like gnawing on an ear of corn.

This action did not relieve him at all; instead, it stimulated him even more.

So, he had no choice but to seek the System’s help...

Finally, the world returned to peace again.

Lin Yuan once again felt the wonder of life. That calm, wise state returned again.

When Xia Ye walked out, holding his hand, the dim street light could not hide the blush on her face, ”Just now, when we passed by there, did you really want to take me inside?”

”Hmm?” Lin Yuan was stunned for a moment, ”Looks like you’re not stupid.”

”Hehe, I know what you’re thinking.” Xia Ye just couldn’t tell north from south, but she wasn’t so clueless as to not smell the hormones in the air. ”Thank you for restraining yourself.”

”What?”

”You’re a good person.”

”Good person?” Lin Yuan mocked himself inwardly, ’I have to thank the System for that... thing.’

At 24 years old, it was truly not an age that could be held in check by merely being called a ”good person.”

”After I finish being busy during this period, I’ll take you home to meet my parents.”

”Okay!”

Lin Yuan looked at Xia Ye with a mix of doting and exasperation. She was still like this—it’s hard to change one’s nature.

Xia Ye wouldn’t think that meeting parents meant preparing for marriage, that marriage required a place to live. When to have children, where the milk powder money would come from, where the children would go to school. In short, a pile of problems that only a muddled head like Xia Ye’s would never think of.

Lin Yuan was even a little curious, if he really was just a delivery driver, and Xia Ye impulsively agreed to him, would there be a rare but not impossible scenario in the future—a delivery driver husband, ’crowned in yellow robes,’ waiting at the entrance of certain places to pick up his wife from work. Both of them engaging in service industries to gain a foothold in this city.

Fortunately, Lin Yuan would consider all of this, so Xia Ye wouldn’t have to worry about these issues in the future.

”All innocence comes at a price.”

”What are you saying?”

”Nothing, I said you’re very good.”

”Oh! I have something to give you.”

”Hmm?” Lin Yuan was immediately curious, ”What is it?”

”Guess.” Xia Ye looked mysterious and wouldn’t tell him.

Lin Yuan thought for a moment. Xia Ye didn’t have the financial means to give him something expensive, but her expression clearly showed she put a lot of thought into it, so what could it be?

”Something handmade?”

”How did you guess!”

”Just a wild guess.” But actually, what else could be both inexpensive and show thoughtfulness besides something handmade?

”But you only guessed half right.” Xia Ye rarely felt a slight intellectual superiority over Lin Yuan, ”Look, I went to Jichen Temple and got you an amulet.”

Lin Yuan took the item from Xia Ye’s hand.

It was a hand-woven, crisscrossing red string, clearly meant to be worn on the wrist. Its special feature was a small Bagua wooden charm strung on the red string.

”You went to a monk’s place and got me a Bagua?”

Xia Ye looked at Lin Yuan with an innocent expression, ”I asked the masters at Jichen Temple, and they don’t sell amulets there. Just as I was leaving, I met an old Daoist priest, and he said he was cultivating inside and could help me get one.”

”So?”

”So I asked him to help me get one.”

”How much money did you give him?”

”He said he saw my sincerity, so he only asked for two hundred yuan for incense money.”

”Alright. My dear, Bagua is a Daoist item. A Daoist priest cultivating in a Buddhist temple? When did the Jade Emperor start living with the Buddha?”

”Ah? Is that so? Then... then was I cheated?” Xia Ye immediately became annoyed, ”How could he cheat me? Two hundred yuan!”

”The amulet is fake, but your intention is real.” Lin Yuan smiled and put the item on his hand. ”I’ll wear it all the time; it will bless us with peace and smoothness.”

”You really don’t mind? You don’t have to force yourself; it was just a small, broken piece of wood.”

Lin Yuan glanced at the Bagua wooden piece strung on the red string, ”It actually looks quite nice, haha. Let’s go get some late-night snacks.”

When Song Xiaoxiao returned in the early morning, Xia Ye was still lying alone on the bed, happily giggling at the ceiling.

”What are you giggling about?”

”Lin Yuan is taking me to meet his parents.”

Song Xiaoxiao immediately became alert. She instantly moved closer to Xia Ye and took a closer look, ”Holy cow, he slept with you?”

”Huh? No, no.”

”You have so many red marks on your neck.”

”Really?” Xia Ye quickly tried to cover them, remembering Lin Yuan hugging her in the alley just now...

Xia Ye immediately blushed.

”Then he definitely ’got’ you. This beast, did he promise to take you to meet his parents after he was done? This scoundrel, I’m going to settle accounts with him!” Song Xiaoxiao was furious.

”No,” Xia Ye quickly explained, ”He didn’t do anything to me.”

”So many hickeys, and he didn’t do anything? Sister, 3000 yuan,” Song Xiaoxiao held up three fingers, ”He only gave you 3000 yuan and did this to you.”

”He really didn’t do anything. He held back, he didn’t take me to a hotel.”

”If he really took you, I bet you’d be happy about it too.”

”I still want to... after we get our marriage certificate.”

”I think you’re at risk of him getting his way at any time. That scoundrel knows your personality; if he truly wants to marry you, he should do it honorably. No, I need to have a good talk with him.”

”Xiao Xiao, don’t!”

”What do you know? I’m telling him clearly for your sake. Either marry you properly, or get lost. I don’t mind that he’s a delivery driver, but he can’t treat you like you’re free...”

”Free what?”

”You’re so stupid!”

One more update on the weekend, still slow updates during workdays. If you want to save it, save it.
