Should the seized goods be turned over to the public? After Lin Yuan’s mining application started running, the estimated 24-hour revenue quickly appeared.

To make the mining revenue more intuitive, he emulated various common mining software on the market, obtaining real-time trading data from major digital currency trading platforms to calculate real-time earnings.

His current real-time estimated income was: 101.2 yuan / 24h.

This was only at a 10% mining time ratio, which meant that if he ran the two H100s provided by OCR at full capacity, he could earn 1000 yuan a day.

Lin Yuan couldn’t help but snap his fingers in the air.

Damn, this poor guy had never seen money come so easily.

Once the program started, he didn’t have to do anything, didn’t even have to pay for electricity; he just had to open his pockets and wait for the money to roll in every day.

He didn’t even expect to run the computing power load at full capacity; reaching 50% would already be amazing, as that would bring in 500 yuan a day. Wouldn’t that be like: I have a bowl at home, and it grows 500 yuan by itself every day.

What if his acting was excellent and OCR provided more computing power equipment?

Lin Yuan didn’t even dare to imagine; he was about to get rich.

However, despite the excitement, the digital currency mined could not be spent directly. Although a few years ago, Musk, that tech villain, had promoted bitcoin by allowing direct purchase of Teslas with bitcoin.

But this was clearly a publicity stunt to drive up bitcoin’s value, as such an operation was not universally applicable. Musk couldn’t possibly use bitcoin to pay taxes to various governments, could he?

With the volatility of bitcoin, which government would dare to accept that thing? Most importantly, the process of converting bitcoin into various national fiat currencies was extremely prone to involving black money.

This was also why digital currencies were favored by many black market practitioners, and it was the problem Lin Yuan would have to struggle with next.

Since digital currency mining had been explicitly banned in China, related digital currency trading businesses were naturally not allowed either.

So, ... (one thousand words omitted here). After much effort, Lin Yuan finally found a way to cash out the digital currency.

While Lin Yuan was enjoying his dream of money falling from the sky, Xia Ye and Song Xiaoxiao were not idle either.

“Lin Yuan gave me money today; it’s so nice to have a boyfriend.”

“No wonder you brought me barbecue.”

“I can’t always eat yours.”

“Consider it me not spoiling you for nothing, sister. You got the first sum of money from a man and still thought of me.”

Xia Ye sipped her milk tea, blinking, always feeling that Song Xiaoxiao’s words changed the taste of her milk tea. “The way you put it, my milk tea tastes like matcha.”

“Oh?” Song Xiaoxiao, busy removing her makeup, stopped her movements. “You can even say something so profound now.”

“Profound?”

“For you, it’s quite profound.”

“Hmph, next time I won’t buy you anything tasty to eat.”

“Will you die if you don’t use reduplication?”

“You often say it when you’re live streaming.”

“Exactly, after the live stream, I don’t even want to hear it.” Song Xiaoxiao had now captured Xia Ye’s wave of traffic. Nine Minutes Sweet Xishi had inexplicably changed hands, and she was now striving to reach the 100,000-follower mark, busy live streaming as an internet celebrity every day.

“Then don’t stream.”

“What will I eat if I don’t stream?” Song Xiaoxiao said with feigned anger, “Live streaming is much better than going to commercial KTVs. Now I really feel those places are not for people to stay in; no wonder everyone wants to be an internet celebrity.

Xia Ye, you don’t hate me, do you?” Song Xiaoxiao stared blankly into the mirror, suddenly uttering this.

“Why would I hate you?”

“My first wave of traffic was stolen from you.”

“I don’t think so; I couldn’t have managed this anyway.”

“That’s true, you little fledgling couldn’t handle acting coquettish with the big brothers. Hmm~~, I’ve thought about it. Although Lin Yuan is a bit poor, at least his character didn’t seem bad last time I saw him. Just date him; when I get rich, he’ll be the first person I hire.”

“Really?” Xia Ye was very excited. “Then I can be with him?”

“If you really like him, just be with him. Later, I’ll buy you two a house and a car. It’s just going to be easy for Lin Yuan, that freeloader.”

“He’s not a freeloader; he even transferred me three thousand yuan today.” Xia Ye immediately defended Lin Yuan.

“Ai~~,” Song Xiaoxiao shook her head helplessly. “Sister, 3000, don’t you feel like something’s off?”

“What’s off?”

“Does Lin Yuan have any big expenses?”

“I don’t know.”

“He’s been graduated for a year. Delivering takeout for a year and only giving you three thousand, where did he spend all his money? You really need to talk to him about it.”

“He told me; he said he sent it to his parents. His parents don’t seem to have retirement or medical insurance.”

“Oh my god!” Song Xiaoxiao stood up abruptly. “Lin Yuan, he, really, what a talent. A takeout delivery guy, and his parents don’t even have retirement insurance. Why would a beautiful dance student like you fall for him?”

“Me?” Xia Ye thought for a moment. “I don’t know either. I feel very secure with him. And, I always feel he’s so confident. Unlike me, who always self-doubts.”

“So confident that he went to deliver takeout?”

“I can’t quite put my finger on it. I just feel he has a CEO vibe.” Xia Ye had stars in her eyes.

“Hmm?” Song Xiaoxiao suddenly seemed enlightened. “Now that you mention it, I actually feel he has a little bit of that too. I always feel he doesn’t seem like a takeout delivery guy, not from his demeanor. It’s strange; logically, I’ve met many rich people, and temperament is something that can only be cultivated; it’s very hard to fake.”

“I don’t know either!”

“Forget it, I’m not thinking about it anymore.” Song Xiaoxiao, who had been live streaming all night, was already exhausted. “When I get rich, I’ll support you two.” Then she saw their cramped small bed. “Let’s change to a bigger room first.”

“Hmm?” Xia Ye was stunned for a moment, then she and Song Xiaoxiao looked at each other and burst into laughter.

Lin Yuan, who had already started the mining program, was looking at the notebook screen, admiring the constantly fluctuating balance in his digital currency account.

The lines of console logs that popped up were like large and small pearls falling onto a jade plate; this wasn’t the sound of a pipa’s strings, but the delightful notes of gold and silver dropping onto a plate.

“Money, money, money. Money, money, money. My dear money, my dear money…” Lin Yuan couldn’t help but hum a short tune with only two words (to the tune of a certain World Cup theme song).

Lin Yuan was very curious about how his mentor and Dean Li would utilize OCR next.

Judging by their stance, they intended for him to play the role of a money-grubbing scoundrel, then gradually gain the other party’s trust. And then what?

Could it be to collect evidence through this? And then report them all to be caught in one swoop?

And then wait to receive commendations from his superiors?

“That’s not right.”

Lin Yuan suddenly realized a problem, so anxious that he slapped his thigh.

“Damn, ill-gotten gains are supposed to be confiscated!”

“No, that’s not right either, this doesn’t seem like ill-gotten gains. Right, it’s seized property. But according to our glorious tradition—seized property must be turned over to the public.”

It’s over!

At that moment, Lin Yuan’s mood instantly plummeted to rock bottom.
