Algorithm system

Rich poor guyOutsourcing is a topic that the software industry cannot avoid.

Simply put, it means that the hiring company wants to utilize your labor but doesn’t want to establish any direct connection with you. So, they reluctantly find an intermediary to have you do the work.

It’s like ancient people visiting a brothel. His relationship with you is only meant to end at dawn (this project ends, then say bye-bye). If your waist is soft and you perform well (code is written well), he can also accept an intermittent relationship with you (he’s happy to use you again when there are projects).

But if you want to enter the inner sanctum (become a regular employee), it might have been possible a few years ago, but these past two years, even the landlord’s family is running out of grain.

Therefore, what is outsourcing? It’s legally playing the rogue.

However, now it’s the other way around. Lin Yuan, instead, wants to adopt an outsourcing cooperation model with Good Group.

You want me to be a regular employee just because I did a few projects for you? I’m giving Good Group face by calling you boss; if I don’t give you face, I’m just giving you a chance to lick my feet.

Don’t you internet companies like to use outsourcing? Aren’t these tens of millions of delivery riderss all outsourced to your Good Group? Alright, then today, your Good Group is my Lin Yuan’s outsourcing company. You are an outsourcing tool on my Lin Yuan’s path to success and fame; you, too, must taste what it’s like to be outsourced.

’Heh, Good Group, you have this day too.’

Thus, Lin Yuan subsequently ignored all kinds of hints from his superiors.

Anyway, if you’ve got the guts, don’t use my algorithm.

During the rollout of the algorithm in HX District, two other things happened.

One was Lin Yuan’s matriculation ceremony, and the other was the first time he gave Xia Ye some household expenses.

Due to the start of school, Xia Ye, in fact, became semi-unemployed. She only had the opportunity to teach dance at the tutoring agency on weekends.

And because of the previous short video incident, Lin Yuan was also uneasy about letting Xia Ye work at the milk tea shop again.

For a girl like Xia Ye, who lacks social experience, if she were to become famous online, it would be a disaster for her. Because she simply wouldn’t know how to deal with so much attention from strangers.

Besides, Lin Yuan didn’t want his wife’s beauty to be coveted by the entire internet.

So, Lin Yuan planned to give Xia Ye a sum of money.

He originally thought that after the one-time 100,000 yuan bonus from Good Group arrived, he would buy himself a high-spec laptop, send some money home, buy some things for his advisor, and then allocate twenty to thirty thousand yuan to Xia Ye, which shouldn’t be a problem.

However, in order to save money to buy old-age and medical insurance for his parents sooner, that 100,000 yuan was managed as a scholarship sponsored by the enterprise. And the distribution of scholarships must comply with regulations and organizational procedures.

Thus, Lin Yuan remained a pauper in the short term.

After he finished his internship at Good Group and signed a one-year official employment contract, Good Group did pay him his internship salary at the maximum rate.

Originally, Lin Yuan’s internship salary was 8,000 yuan + performance, but Good Group gave him the maximum 18K internship salary. However, since Lin Yuan’s previous internship was, to put it plainly, just short-term summer work, this type of income fell under the category of labor remuneration.

Therefore, according to relevant regulations.

When labor remuneration exceeds 4,000, 20% of the expenses are deducted, and if the remaining portion does not exceed 20,000, a 20% tax rate applies.

So, 18000 * (1-20%) * 20% = 2880.

Stimulating!!!

’Dad, Mom! Your son’s monthly tax payment is higher than your income!’

Lin Yuan was certain in his heart: he absolutely could not tell his parents about this, otherwise, it would severely shock their worldview.

Fortunately, now that things are peaceful, the country has a policy of annual reconciliation. By the end of the year, labor remuneration should also be able to be spread out monthly, and then he can get a tax refund.

However, a distant solution cannot quench a present thirst.

Lin Yuan was still poor.

This old T440 could no longer be used, otherwise, it would be embarrassing if his advisor saw it. His advisor would definitely ask, ”Where did you spend all your money, kid?” If Lin Yuan answered, ”I spent it on a girl,” his advisor would definitely give him a big slap.

And although the new laptop Good Group provided him was incredibly powerful, Lin Yuan wouldn’t dare to use it. That machine could at most be used as a test machine; who knows if there’s some monitoring backend implanted, and his core code on it might be scanned and uploaded one day.

So, buying a laptop was imperative.

What to buy? Buying a cheap one wasn’t cost-effective, because laptops would eventually need to be replaced, so it was better to go for a one-step solution.

Therefore, Lin Yuan gritted his teeth and bought a new 10,000 yuan ThinkPad X1.

Lin Yuan first looked at laptops equipped with a 4090 graphics card, which basically started at around 20,000 yuan. Twenty thousand! He couldn’t spend money like that even if he had it.

Although Lin Yuan had previously wanted to own a 4090, he now had computing equipment provided by Good Group, and also had computing resources from OCR. Getting another 4090 laptop was really not that cost-effective.

There was also one very important point. The 4090 laptops around 20,000 yuan were all gaming laptops. Although a laptop that can play games can certainly run AI, Lin Yuan had thought so before.

But ever since he joined a large company, he found that it wasn’t the case at all.

If you pull out an old T440 in a formal meeting, you will hardly attract anyone’s attention; generally, people don’t bother to care about your ThinkPad model.

But if you pull out a Legion or ROG gaming laptop, you will definitely be the brightest star in the room.

And if your gaming laptop also has flashy ambient lighting, your leader might very well say, ”Leave the PPT, you can go now.”

Therefore, the most suitable for a work environment, besides Apple’s Mac, is the localized ThinkPad.

But, a ThinkPad 4090 workstation costs nearly 40,000 yuan. Forty thousand yuan! Wouldn’t it be better to save that money for his parents’ old-age and medical insurance?

So, Lin Yuan chose a compromise solution—he’d still buy an X1.

Although the X1 is equipped with the troublesome Intel Arc graphics card, it’s better than nothing; at least it can be used to handle code bugs. As for running training? The Arc graphics card is a younger brother compared to the H100.

So now the problem arises.

After deducting tax from 18,000, 15,120 remained, and after buying the laptop, 5,000 remained.

Fortunately, Lin Yuan still had a few thousand yuan in savings, and he had also received various subsidies such as housing and transportation from Good Group. He could pay tuition and miscellaneous fees with HuaBei, and he could last a month until Good Group’s payday. If worse came to worst, he could ask WangDai for help; anyway, it’s not difficult to borrow money online with real-name authentication nowadays.

But he had, after all, boasted to Xia Ye before, so he couldn’t possibly not support her with any money.

However, Lin Yuan wouldn’t do something as foolish as borrowing from WangDai to support his girlfriend.

After much thought, he felt that two thousand was a bit too little, but he couldn’t possibly rely on HuaBei for his cafeteria meals. So, he would give three thousand.

He would tell Xia Ye later that he had sent the money home, to avoid Xia Ye thinking he was stingy. After all, in front of her, he was a diligent and upright delivery riders; how could he only come up with three thousand?

Moreover, if Song Xiaoxiao found out, she would definitely imagine that Lin Yuan had spent the money in places he shouldn’t have.

’Speaking of which, a delivery riders who has worked for a year, if he doesn’t have some bad habits, wouldn’t really only be able to come up with three thousand yuan. Sigh, it seems I’ll have to explain it well to Xia Ye.’

When Lin Yuan thought of the 100,000 yuan that would eventually arrive in his account, and his monthly salary of over 20,000 yuan, he felt so rich. Who could be this wealthy at 24 years old?

But then he looked at his current situation, where he was relying on HuaBei.

’I’m truly a rich pauper!’
