Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 246: Chapter 149 Teaching a Beauty to Play Pool is a Skillful Task (Subscribe for Major Chapter)_3

”Mmm, watch closely!”

”Give it a try!”

Zhang Jingdong released Shu Ran’s hand but did not stand up, still remaining behind her.

Shu Ran cautiously tapped the cue ball just below its center twice, then suddenly exerted force.

The cue ball, after hitting the 15 ball, firmly stopped in its place, and the 15 ball likewise pocketed.

Shu Ran was instantly delighted, turned her head to glance at Zhang Jingdong, and exclaimed, ”It really worked, you’re so amazing!”

”That’s nothing much...” Zhang Jingdong twisted his mouth: ”Now you should play the 13 ball!”

Then, they changed positions.

Zhang Jingdong continued: ”After hitting the 13 ball, which ball should you aim for next?”

Shu Ran observed for a bit, then said, ”The 10 ball?”

”Right. And after you play the 13 ball, to prepare for hitting the 10 ball, shouldn’t you make the cue ball move forward a bit? So, this time you must play a medium-high shot which, as the name suggests, is hitting just above the center point of the cue ball.”

”Did you get it?”

”...I got it.”

”To prevent the cue ball from following into the pocket, your shot strength this time must be slightly less than before.”

”Okay.”

This time, Shu Ran confirmed the position a bit more before striking the cue ball directly.

Then, just as seen, after hitting the 13 ball, the cue ball indeed followed and moved a small distance!

Finally, the 13 ball fell into the corner pocket, and the cue ball stopped perfectly in the prime position to hit the 10 ball.

At this moment, Shu Ran looked towards Zhang Jingdong again: ”This is really magical, determining its path just by hitting different spots on the cue ball!”

Zhang Jingdong stared at her from up close: ”Playing pool is fun, isn’t it?”

”Yeah, it’s fun!”

”My teaching isn’t too bad, right?”

Shu Ran caught the flirtation in Zhang Jingdong’s words, but for some reason, this time she didn’t find him annoying; on the contrary, she felt an inexplicable flutter in her heart.

She remembered having a similar feeling the last time he took her to dine at Tianfu First-class.

Suddenly, she bashfully lowered her head.

To be honest, at that moment, Zhang Jingdong really wanted to kiss her!

But he soon realized that the timing was not good because if he kissed her now, then he couldn’t continue teaching her next.

Then, in her heart, his bringing her to play pool would seem purely an excuse to take advantage of her, making it awkward to bring her to play in the future!

Originally, he could use teaching her pool as a pretext to keep in touch with her intermittently for a while, and during that time he could definitely do more than just kiss her.

Moreover, his relationship with Shu Ran hadn’t progressed to that stage; if he acted rashly, the outcome might not be within his expectations.

If Shu Ran reacted strongly or even avoided seeing him for a while, it would be a loss not worth the risk.

Considering all that, Zhang Jingdong decided to forego this opportunity for long-term gain and the potential for bigger advantages later.

So, he forcefully suppressed the heat within him and tenderly said, ”Let’s continue, Shu Ran classmate!”

Shu Ran was caught off guard by the switch from ”Teacher Shu” to ”Shu Ran classmate,” blushing and shooting him a sideways glance, but then she nodded her head: ”...Okay.”

In the following hour or so, Zhang Jingdong patiently taught Shu Ran almost all of the cue strokes and even how to plan three moves ahead.

While Shu Ran noticed that Zhang Jingdong did take some liberties with her, overall, he seemed sincere about teaching her pool. Thus, not only did she turn a blind eye to his taking advantage of her, but even on two occasions when his hand ”accidentally” brushed past her perky bottom, she didn’t lose her temper with him!

At this moment, Zhang Jingdong said to Shu Ran, ”Alright, you’ve learned quite a bit, now we can move on to practical teaching. To be as fair as possible, I’ll give you a 3-ball handicap!”

Shu Ran immediately retorted, ”I don’t need your handicap. I want to see just how good you really are!”

”Fine, since that’s the case, let’s get started right away!”

On her first shot, Shu Ran broke and pocketed a striped ball, followed by sinking the 12 ball, but then missed the 14 ball.

Then it was Zhang Jingdong’s turn. He pocketed 3 balls in a row, but missed the 1 ball on his last shot.

Next, Shu Ran took over, successively pocketing the 14 and 9 balls, but missed the 11 ball.

Zhang Jingdong once again took the table, cleared the rest in one go, and won the first game.

They quickly started the second game.

This time, Zhang Jingdong took two turns; in one he pocketed 2 balls in succession, and in the other, he cleared the table directly.

Zhang Jingdong himself didn’t expect his form to be so good today, and said with a bit of smugness, ”How’s that, Student Shu Ran? Now you know what a real master is, you still need to practice more!”

As soon as he said this, Shu Ran hadn’t replied when suddenly a male voice came from the side, ”Bullying a woman, what kind of skill is that? Dare you play a round with me!”

Zhang Jingdong turned his head to glance at the speaker, felt a bit of familiarity, and with a thought recognized who it was.

He was called Xu Jiang, ostensibly a ’big brother’ of the society, but was actually just a bouncer for a bath center, not very wealthy, drove a third-hand Land Rover Defender, and his underlings weren’t exactly tough characters.

But this guy was usually very high-profile. He was the kind that wasn’t really badass but liked to show off like one.

What Zhang Jingdong disliked most about this person was that he cowered in front of real tough guys, but would bully the vulnerable to death.

Xu Jiang’s billiards skills were decent, and coupled with his ’big brother’ status, so usually no one at this pool hall dared to beat him.

He would come here two to three times a week to win some pocket money, and, of course, there was another very important reason—he liked to hit on the beautiful women who played here, often taking them to hotels to ”play balls” after playing on the pool table.

In his previous life, Zhang Jingdong was somewhat afraid of people like Xu Jiang, since they couldn’t be provoked, but now he had no intention of indulging such scum.

He responded coldly, ”Dude, ever heard of flirting? My girlfriend and I aren’t bothering you, so go chill somewhere cool.”

Although Zhang Jingdong’s voice wasn’t very loud, it instantly drew many onlookers interested in the commotion.

After all, it was rare to see someone talk back to Xu Jiang like this at such a place, so there was bound to be a spectacle.

Seeing Zhang Jingdong’s bold words, Xu Jiang’s eyes grew cold, ”F*ck, you actually dare talk to me like that!”

No sooner had his words fallen did several punk-looking guys behind him start moving towards Zhang Jingdong.

At the same moment, Long Yue quickly moved next to Zhang Jingdong, ready to intervene.

Seeing Long Yue’s bodyguard-like stance, and then looking at Zhang Jingdong’s Louis Vuitton attire, Xu Jiang immediately thought that Zhang Jingdong must be some rich second-generation, probably not just any ordinary one.

He hastily gestured to his underlings, and the punks immediately fell back behind him.

Although Xu Jiang felt somewhat intimidated at the moment, there was a large crowd watching. Even though he couldn’t lay a hand on Zhang Jingdong, if he let Zhang Jingdong off too easily, then today he’d really lose face.

And face was what allowed him to survive in the underworld.

So, he spoke with a cold tone, ”I’ll let it slide given your youth, but if you’re up for the challenge, play a round of pool with me. If I lose, I’ll give you 10,000, but if I win, I won’t take a dime from you; you’ll just have to bow down to me and loudly say ’Brother Jiang, I was wrong’ 10 times.”

Zhang Jingdong laughed casually, ”Since you want to play, I’ll play with you.”

”But, if I win, I also don’t want your money, but you’ll have to declare in front of everyone 10 times loudly ’I, Xu Jiang, am a big idiot and shouldn’t have disturbed others flirting,’ how about it, dare to play?”

As soon as he spoke, a buzz rose from the crowd.

”F*ck, this dude’s really bold, actually daring to be defiant towards Brother Jiang!”

”You can tell he’s just a brash young fool. Just wait to see how Brother Jiang deals with him!”

At that moment, a trace of malice flashed through Xu Jiang’s eyes, ”Fine, it’s settled then. Let’s do it!”
