Back at the 4S dealership, Zhang Jingdong and company chatted as they waited for over an hour.

At that time, the beautiful saleswoman came over and said, ”The temporary license is ready, the three of you can pick up the car now!”

Afterwards, the dealership held a car pickup ceremony for them.

When taking a photo in front of the car, Lin Xirui originally intended to stand next to Lin Xiran, but was jokingly pushed to the other side of Zhang Jingdong by the latter.

Then Zhang Jingdong casually put his arms around the shoulders of both, completely making all the men around them green with envy.

There was no helping it, Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui were both stunning beauties themselves, plus the twin effect, and their fashion and dress today were particularly stylish and dazzling.

In their eyes, getting one top-tier beauty would be the peak of life, yet Zhang Jingdong managed to get two at the same time, tsk tsk, he must have had a truly fulfilled life!

After the ceremony ended, Zhang Jingdong turned his head and asked Lin Xirui, ”Have you driven at all in the recent period?”

Lin Xirui shook her head: ”No... but it should be fine.”

Zhang Jingdong smirked: ”Nevermind, I’ll accompany you for a bit, only then can I be completely relieved.”

Lin Xirui caught the smirk at the corner of Zhang Jingdong’s mouth and knew he was up to no good.

But since he bought the car, she told herself to indulge him this one time for the sake of the car.

Then she said, ”Alright, I’m also worried I might be a bit rusty.”

So after Lin Xirui drove the car out of the 4S dealership, Lin Xiran got into the front Land Rover Range Rover, while Zhang Jingdong sat in the passenger seat of the Porsche 911.

Back on the road and after a distance, Zhang Jingdong found that although Lin Xirui’s driving skills fell short of Su Man’s, they were still quite decent overall; at least there was no instance of needing to signal for a turn but accidentally turning on the wipers instead.

Zhang Jingdong gradually felt at ease and started to chat idly with her.

”Didn’t expect you to be quite skilled at driving, when did you start learning?”

Lin Xirui felt a bit proud: ”I practiced with my dad’s car after the college entrance exams, and got my driver’s license in university. The instructor at the driving school said I had a really good feel for it.”

As she said this, perhaps to prove her point, Lin Xirui made a few maneuvers, overtaking two cars and showing off her driving skills a little.

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a laugh: ”Let me tell you, don’t show off until you’ve really mastered driving skills, especially on these central roads. You’d better drive properly, safety first!”

Lin Xirui was clearly not convinced: ”My driving skills are already very good, okay? Besides, sticking to rules while driving can be boring sometimes, it’s quite thrilling to throw in something difficult now and then!”

”Do you even know what level you must reach to say you’re good at driving? Do you know what truly high difficulty is? Only when you’ve really reached that level do you have the right to show off here, now drive normally!”

Lin Xiran saw that Zhang Jingdong was actually very serious and subconsciously lowered her voice, yet she still felt unconvinced: ”I wouldn’t know, would you? Now you’re being chauffeured every day, you talk as if you’re really good at driving!”

Zhang Jingdong knew that if he didn’t put this girl in her place, she wouldn’t realize her limits, so he then said: ”Stop the car!”

Lin Xirui glanced at him: ”What, are you really angry?”

”Do I need to be angry with you? Since you doubt my driving skills, I’ll just show you what real driving skills are, and what truly difficult maneuvers are. Otherwise, you might really think you are a driving god!”

Seeing that Zhang Jingdong was serious, Lin Xirui couldn’t help but be curious about his skills and immediately pulled over.

The two got out of the car and switched places.

As Zhang Jingdong was fastening his seatbelt, he offhandedly said, ”Better not blink later!”

”Don’t worry, I want to see how amazing you really can be!”

Zhang Jingdong smiled and then, with a series of neat operations, the car sped out.

Lin Xirui was shocked: ”You... how did you do that?”

Zhang Jingdong touched his nose: ”You were bragging about your driving earlier, and you don’t even know what a launch start is?”

”Listen up, start with the launch control mode, then turn off the vehicle’s ESP stability system, brake hard with your left foot, floor the gas pedal with your right foot, and when the revs climb to the optimal starting RPM, release the brake sharply.”

”Got it?”

Although Lin Xirui rolled her eyes upon hearing the first sentence, she still nodded in acknowledgment after listening: ”Got it, hey, be careful...”

Lin Xirui watched the car heading straight for another vehicle diagonally ahead, and she hurriedly cautioned Zhang Jingdong, instinctively leaning back herself.

But what she saw was Zhang Jingdong lightly steering the wheel with his left hand, and then she watched, eyes wide open, as the car suddenly changed direction just before hitting the other car, continuing to race forward.

And at that moment, she suddenly realized that Zhang Jingdong had been driving with one hand all along!

Although she was a bit shaken, she was deeply impressed by Zhang Jingdong’s driving skills. In her view, that maneuver by Zhang Jingdong just now was something 99% of drivers worldwide couldn’t pull off, and she herself had only seen something similar in movies.

Zhang Jingdong noticed the girl’s surprise and said: ”How about it, now you know what a true expert is, right? Remember, only at this level do you have the right to show off driving skills on the road.”

”But what I want to tell you is that real top drivers don’t bother showing off on regular roads, because they know this isn’t the place for it. Got it?”
