”And the one who cheated is a girl under 20, and not just one at that!”

”When I got together with him, he had nothing. My parents didn’t agree with me marrying him, but I still did without looking back because I thought it was true love. But now... I just feel like I’m a joke!”

”Really, I’ve come to understand now, there’s not a single man who isn’t fickle-hearted, unless he lacks the means. If he has a few million, oh no, even just a few hundred thousand, he’s sure to start having crooked thoughts in that department.”

”Senior sister, I used to always urge you to find a good man and get married early, but now I actually want to tell you to just have fun with the right ones you meet!”

”Take Zhang Jingdong today, for example. He may not be a good man, and he’s definitely had quite a few girlfriends, but he is the perfect man to just have fun with!”

”At the very least, he’s handsome, young, good at playing ball, and he’s got money, so you don’t have to worry about him conning you. Most importantly, he’s into you and so proactive... I really think you can give it a try with him!”

Shu Ran paused for a moment and sighed, ”You just said a lot, I... Did Chen Yang really have an affair?”

Ye Sijing let out a sigh, ”Do you think I’d joke about something like that? He was with the other person in the car... I caught them in the act!”

Upon hearing this, Shu Ran was genuinely shocked!

Because Ye Sijing and Chen Yang had always been recognized as the model couple in their circle of friends, and Chen Yang had always been compliant in front of Ye Sijing. She could never have imagined he would cheat.

Shu Ran couldn’t help but think of those male teachers and female students in school, and even some affairs between professors and students. Suddenly, she felt her mind was a bit chaotic.

After a while, she sighed, ”Alright, let’s not talk about this anymore, come play some more ball with me!”

Seeing Shu Ran’s somewhat lost look, Ye Sijing nodded, ”Okay.”

The two played ball for over an hour and then went to the bathhouse together.

When changing clothes, looking at Shu Ran’s perfect figure, Ye Sijing couldn’t help but say, ”Senior sister, you keep yourself looking so good, it would be such a waste not to have fun with some young, handsome guys!”

At that, Shu Ran couldn’t help but say, ”Listening to what you just said, since you’re so disappointed in men, why do you still encourage me to find one?”

Ye Sijing immediately laughed, ”Senior sister, that’s because you don’t know yet, but men, bad as they are, are also really fun! Especially young, handsome guys, once you’ve tried, you’ll know. That kind of thing is really very enjoyable!”

Although Shu Ran had never had a boyfriend, she was over 30 after all and certainly knew about those matters.

Seeing how direct Ye Sijing was, especially her wild expression at the time, she couldn’t help but say, ”Can you tone it down a bit? Besides, you talk as if you have personal experience!”

”I...” Ye Sijing pursed her lips, ”I’ll tell you, but you mustn’t tell anyone else... I’ve tried it!”

”What... what? Ye Sijing, have you lost it? Chen Yang may have gone too far, but... but you can’t follow his example!”

”I’m not following his example...” Ye Sijing draped a towel over her shoulder. ”We’ve been separated for a while, we just haven’t gotten a divorce for the sake of the child, and then... about two months ago, I met a... a young guy.”

”He may not be as handsome as Zhang Jingdong, nor does he play ball as well, but he’s very considerate... After we interacted a few times, he actually started pursuing me. At first, I felt the same as you, that I was too old for him and feared the age gap, but later on...”

At this point, Ye Sijing herself blushed a little, ”Senior sister, you often go hiking, play ball, all just to burn off the excess hormones in your body.”

”Trust me, guys like them can give you an unprecedented experience, it’s really... it’ll make you very happy!”

Shu Ran shook her head somewhat speechlessly, ”Sigh, Sijin, you’re really hopeless!”

Ye Sijing struck a defiant pose, ”But haven’t you noticed, compared to before, I’m obviously in a much better state now?”

Shu Ran took a look, and though she still didn’t agree with her idea, she nodded, ”Alright, that’s... indeed true!”

Seeing this, Ye Sijing went on, ”Senior sister, I won’t say much else, just a reminder that Zhang Jingdong is indeed excellent. If he comes after you, you should really consider it, because no matter what, we won’t be at a loss!”

Shu Ran gave Ye Sijing a sidelong glance, ”I’m not like you, I still can’t accept this kind of thing.”

Ye Sijing said meaningfully, ”Every woman sets various conditions before finding a boyfriend, but when the right man appears, you’ll find that all those conditions you set will instantly vanish into thin air!”

Shu Ran shook her head, then tidied up everything swiftly.

”Hurry up... I’ll wait for you in the car!”

Ye Sijing hesitated, ”Where to? For tea?”

”Yeah, why? Do you have something on?”

”I... It’s not really convenient for me today...”

”You... Is it that time of the month? Well then, alright...”

”It’s not that, it’s just... He’ll be coming in a bit.”

Shu Ran shook her head with a wry smile, ”Ye Sijing, you... you really prioritize love over friendship!”

”Don’t worry, senior sister, I have a feeling that you’ll end up in similar situations too!”

Shu Ran rolled her eyes at Ye Sijing, ”I give up on you, goodbye!”

With that, she turned and left.

Shu Ran exited the badminton club and drove herself to Ziyuan Tea House.
