However, Su Man quickly thought of another point and said, ”But if you give yourself to him and later find out that he’s a philanderer who abandons you after seduction, what would you do then?”

At that moment, An Lu turned to glance at the door and said earnestly, ”Although I’ve never been in a relationship before, I’ve seen many couple’s stories in films and books and heard some in real life.”

”And I feel like there’s no such thing as a perfect choice in this world, or rather, we can’t guarantee that the partner we find is perfect.”

”Because there are no perfect men in this world. Handsome ones lack capability, capable ones aren’t good-looking, those who are both handsome and capable tend to be womanizers, and for those who are not... Now I feel like they might not exist at all.”

Hearing this, Su Man was shocked: ”An An, what... what do you mean by that? Could it be that you... you know he is a playboy and still decide to be with him?”

An Lu let out a slight sigh: ”I haven’t discovered that, but don’t you think that women would throw themselves at a man like him?”

”Perhaps he wants to be faithful, but his instincts may not necessarily comply, not to mention some women are naturally the bane of some men, so... it’s hard to avoid!”

Su Man was incredulous: ”An An, what magic has he cast on you to make you turn out like this?”

”Is it just because he bought you a car and spent a lot of money on you?”

An Lu shook her head: ”It’s not just those, but I admit, these are partly why, because they both prove his excellence and show his love for me.”

”Besides that, he’s also very skilled, as I told you earlier about him saving me.”

”And he’s very handsome and treats me well in every aspect.”

”The most crucial point is that I feel happy every moment when I’m with him, and that’s the most precious!”

”Because of these reasons, I feel like I might never meet another man who satisfies all these conditions in the future, so I’ve decided, it’s him!”

”No matter what happens later, as long as he still loves me and treats me well, I’ll be content and will definitely stay with him!”

This time, Su Man pondered for a full half-minute before she reacted: ”I get it now, An An, perhaps you’re doing the right thing.”

”Because, as you said, if you miss out on him, it will be too difficult to find someone like him again. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been single up till now!”

”But there’s one thing you must listen to me.”

”What is it?”

”Wait until he buys you a house, then give yourself to him!”

”It just so happens that my air conditioning broke today, so I made up an excuse to sleep with you. He probably won’t suspect anything!”

Seeing An Lu still hesitating, Su Man sighed: ”You can’t let me sleep in the guest room and then you two go do that in the master bedroom, right? That... that would be too unfair!”

Upon hearing this, An Lu could only nod shyly: ”... Alright then.”

The two chatted for a bit more, then left the kitchen together and returned to the living room.

By now, knowing that An Lu had settled on Zhang Jingdong, and with Zhang Jingdong’s domineering nature, Su Man knew that if she continued to butt heads with him, she would only hurt herself in the end, and might even bring trouble to An Lu.

So she forced a smile: ”Boss Zhang, I’ve finished washing the dishes, but as I said earlier, my air conditioning is broken, so I need to crash here tonight.”

Although Zhang Jingdong noticed her change in attitude, he couldn’t help but tease her: ”We have things to do tonight. You can stay in a hotel, I’ll pay for it!”

Su Man did not expect Zhang Jingdong to be so cold and was taken aback, panicking: ”I... I lost my ID at the airport today, so I can’t stay in a hotel...”

Zhang Jingdong stared at her straight on: ”That’s quite a coincidence?”

”Really... really, I have no reason to lie to you!”

Seeing that the girl had completely given in now, Zhang Jingdong finally said, ”Well alright then, since you’re An An’s best friend, you can stay here tonight!”

After saying that, he turned his head back to continue watching TV.

An Lu immediately stepped forward, wanting to change his teapot again.

But Zhang Jingdong said, ”No more tea for me, you take a break too.”

An Lu then obediently sat down beside Zhang Jingdong.

Seeing this, Su Man didn’t feel it was appropriate to pull An Lu aside to talk, so she also started watching TV with them.

More than an hour later, as another episode ended, An Lu turned her head and said, ”Jingdong, you go take a shower first, get to bed earlier tonight.”

Zhang Jingdong thought to himself I’ve been waiting half the day, what do you think I’m waiting for, and casually said, ”You go ahead and shower, I’m not sleepy yet!”

Saying this, he picked up the remote and started flipping through channels, finally stopping on the movie channel, which was showing Titanic.

Coincidentally, it was the scene where Jack was about to draw a picture of Rose.

The two stunning beauties beside him both reflexively turned their heads to the side when they saw that scene and blushed red.

Su Man couldn’t help but curse Zhang Jingdong under her breath for being a pervert; seeing that it was that scene and he didn’t change the channel immediately, but instead started watching.

An Lu was also somewhat embarrassed but didn’t feel right asking Zhang Jingdong to change the channel at that moment.

So she turned her head and said, ”Manman, why don’t you shower first?”

Su Man glanced at Zhang Jingdong out of the corner of her eye and reluctantly nodded, ”...Alright.”

She then stood up and walked with her long legs to the bathroom.

But once at the shower, Su Man suddenly felt a sense of inexplicable shyness.

Because An Lu’s house was designed with a parallel layout, there’s a long living room, and inside to the left and right were the master bedroom and guest bedroom, with the bathroom in between.

Meaning, there’s only a wall separating the living room and the bathroom!

Though she knew Zhang Jingdong wouldn’t dare to burst in while she was halfway through her shower, for some reason, the thought of him being able to hear her showering made her feel as if he was peeking on her bathing.

But at that moment, she had no choice but to shower.

So after silently cursing Zhang Jingdong a hundred times in her heart, Su Man turned on the shower with a helpless expression.

Whoosh!

For some reason, upon hearing the sound of the water from the bathroom, Zhang Jingdong suddenly felt an inexplicable urge.

Especially since in the TV, Rose was already in such a state; although they skipped the part of her undressing, the sight of her admiring the artwork in a robe still had an infinitely springtime vibe.

Zhang Jingdong casually draped his arm over An Lu’s fragrant shoulder, first giving her cheek and earlobe a kiss.

Then he held her delicate chin with his hand and gave her a very passionate and incredibly bold French kiss.

At first, An Lu was mindful of Su Man showering inside and couldn’t let loose, but soon she couldn’t resist anymore and started to actively cooperate.

Meanwhile, on the TV, Jack was leading Rose to the bow of the Titanic, coming in for that classic kiss!

And as An Lu became increasingly lost in Zhang Jingdong’s masterful kissing and his roguish right hand, Zhang Jingdong suddenly let go of her.

An Lu felt the wonderful sensation disappear suddenly, first a bit confused, then instinctively leaning toward Zhang Jingdong.

But just then, she suddenly remembered something and hurriedly regained her composure, sitting up straight.

And almost at the same time, the bathroom door opened!
