Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 21: Chapter 21 Taking Her Home

The two chatted for a bit more, then went to the payment window to settle the bill and left the hospital.

As they were descending the stairs, An Lu, possibly not fully recovered, suddenly slipped and was about to fall.

Zhang Jingdong, with quick reflexes, hastily reached out to catch her.

But because he acted too quickly, and without time to pay attention, Zhang Jingdong’s arm ended up encircling her breasts.

To be honest, that instant felt really... soft yet firm!

”Host successfully initiated intimate contact with the target, reward 30,000 yuan!”

However, Zhang Jingdong didn’t dare to linger and smoothly carried her down the stairs.

Still worried she might not be able to stand steadily, he then shifted his arm to support her by the shoulders.

”Are you alright?”

An Lu, her panic subsiding, then blushed deeply immediately.

She had never had such close physical contact with the opposite sex in her life.

Previously, she hardly ever shook hands with men out of politeness, yet just now he had actually touched her there!

Moreover, she was drugged by someone in the tycoon’s presence previously, and it was he who brought her to the hospital, so during this process, she must have been touched by him...

Thinking this, An Lu suddenly felt both shy and a bit resentful.

However, she couldn’t really lash out, considering he had rescued her twice.

An Lu took some time to mentally prepare herself, slightly regaining her usual composure.

Putting on a calm façade, she said, ”Thank you, I just lost my balance for a moment there!”

”Host received genuine gratitude from the target person, reward 30,000 yuan!”

Seeing that she was sensible, Zhang Jingdong immediately said, ”Don’t mention it, you probably haven’t fully recovered yet, have a good rest tonight and you should be fine!”

An Lu nodded in agreement: ”Mhm.”

Zhang Jingdong also offered a casual smile, then went to the curb to hail a taxi.

”Let’s go, I’ll take you home!”

Although An Lu usually would not accept such arrangements from a man, considering he had saved her twice in one night, she felt it would be inappropriate to refuse.

Moreover, after her slip earlier, she felt she hadn’t fully recovered.

If she went back alone and something happened on the way, it could turn out to be a minor issue causing major trouble.

She obediently nodded: ”Okay.”

Half an hour later, the car slowly stopped at the entrance of Lu Ming Garden.

An Lu saw Zhang Jingdong was also getting out and quickly said, ”No need to trouble yourself, I can go back on my own!”

Zhang Jingdong joked, ”Don’t worry, I’m not pursuing you, I just want to make sure you get home safe!”

Hearing this, An Lu blushed and reluctantly nodded, ”Alright.”

The two then got out of the car and entered the residential complex.

This complex was not low-end, both the property management and the greenery inside were pretty good.

What surprised An Lu was that Zhang Jingdong was indeed as he said, having no ulterior motives towards her.

Because until they reached her building, number 8, he hadn’t said a word to her.

And at this moment, Zhang Jingdong took the initiative to say, ”Alright, you should be fine here, go on up yourself, goodbye!”

This made An Lu feel a bit embarrassed, feeling she had mistrusted a good person.

She thus actively said, ”Thank you so much for today, not only for rescuing me but also for bringing me back... Can you leave me your number? I’ll treat you to a meal someday!”

Hearing this, Zhang Jingdong thought to himself that this tactic really seemed to work!

A bit of aloofness indeed makes girls take the initiative!

Then came the crucial moment, he simply waved his hand, ”No need, it was nothing, don’t mention it, goodbye!”

He said, turning to leave.

But then he deliberately slowed down his pace.

Then he heard An Lu say, ”It would make me feel too embarrassed if you leave like this, I really don’t have any other intentions, I just... just want to express my gratitude!”

Seeing that his setup was about right, Zhang Jingdong made a small turn, looked at An Lu and said, ”Alright, we’re friends after all, but I forgot my business card today... Hand me your phone for a sec!”

An Lu promptly took out her phone from her bag and handed it to him.

Zhang Jingdong took it, swiftly operated it, and then returned it to her.

An Lu glanced at it and murmured, ”Zhang Jingdong... alright, I’ve remembered it!”

”Okay... goodbye!”

Zhang Jingdong said that and turned around, leaving without looking back.

An Lu watched his figure gradually disappear under the streetlamp and suddenly realized that this guy’s back was quite handsome!

It wasn’t until he totally vanished from her sight that she turned around and went upstairs.

Once home, An Lu tidied up a bit and then went to the bathroom for a shower.

Feeling the wash of hot water, she suddenly felt a slight pain in her foot, which then made her unconsciously think of the slip right outside the hospital.

And the feeling of his touch at that time.

It was just like an electric shock!

She had never had such an experience before.

For a while, she suddenly raised her head, letting the hot water wash over her face, trying to forget those thoughts.

But strangely, the more she tried to forget, the more those scenes replayed in her mind.

That night, An Lu found it very hard to fall asleep until very late.

However, Zhang Jingdong was exceptionally happy that night because just as he stepped out of Lu Ming Garden, the system notified him that he had earned 10 points of goodwill from An Lu.

Earning another 10 points of goodwill, he would accumulate 30 points and could participate in a lucky draw again!

...

The next day at 2 p.m., Liu Jinhui called to say the design work was completed.

Zhang Jingdong decisively skipped class again and went to his studio.

After reviewing the design, Zhang Jingdong was very satisfied and immediately paid Liu Jinhui the remaining 20,000 yuan for the design fee.

Additionally, he paid 100,000 yuan for the renovation fee.

Initially, Liu Jinhui felt somewhat uneasy about such blind trust and hesitated, ”You can give me 50,000 yuan first, and when the renovation is halfway done, you can come and check the work. If you are satisfied, then you can pay the remaining amount?”

Zhang Jingdong carefreely said, ”Doubt not whom to employ, employ not whom you doubt. I am not one to easily trust a person, but once I choose to trust someone, I give them one hundred percent of my trust.”

”From our interactions over the past few days, whether it’s your perspective on issues, the speed at which you grasp my ideas, or your design capabilities, I highly recognize all. Hence, I am willing to trust you!”

Upon hearing this, Liu Jinhui was both overjoyed and touched, even feeling a surge of loyalty to the point of laying down his life for a worthy leader.

So he accepted.

Then the next morning at 9 a.m., the one-week restaurant renovation officially commenced!

Zhang Jingdong stayed in the shop for less than three hours before leaving.

Besides trusting Liu Jinhui, it was also because Li Yiran had called him!

During the call, Li Yiran said she had prepared 10 handmade bags, and Zhang Jingdong immediately arranged to meet her at 2 p.m. beside the Rainbow Bridge at that McDonald’s.

After hanging up, Zhang Jingdong began thinking of how to earn another 10 points of goodwill from Li Yiran.

But after a long while, he couldn’t come up with any good plans.

He really couldn’t hire someone to repeat the previous act and then play the hero again, right?

No way!

Not only would that certainly scare her, but she might also realize that the previous two thugs were hired by him.

Then, the goodwill he had painstakingly built up with her would instantly drop to zero.

Moreover, he would definitely have no chance with this top high school beauty in the future!

After pondering for a long while, Zhang Jingdong grew a bit annoyed, so he went to pick up Li Yiran’s big bag from the rented house he stayed in and arrived early at their agreed-upon location.

Inside that McDonald’s, he ate two hamburgers and three strawberry sundaes as lunch.

Around two o’clock, he saw Li Yiran approaching from afar.

Normally seen in a T-shirt paired with jeans during her stall days, today she wore a white floral dress.

With her naturally tall figure, her visible tender arms and a bit of her legs made her look extraordinarily... in a word from future generations: pure desire!

Some women, even when dressed in minimal clothes, to the point where they might complain about the amount of fabric on a bikini, still don’t evoke any feeling.

Yet some women, merely wearing a simple and slightly conservative dress, can provoke endless daydreams.

And Li Yiran undoubtedly belonged to the latter category.

Moreover, Zhang Jingdong had studied a bit of psychology. Knowing that this change in dress indicated she was in a good mood today, he secretly made a plan.
