Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Street Pickup

Zhang Jingdong arrived at the roadside, carrying 8 handcrafted bags, originally planning to find a place to set them down before he continued to scout for target individuals.

But then it struck him like a bolt of lightning: aren’t these beautiful bags perfect conversation starters?

He immediately hailed a taxi and headed to the pedestrian street.

Since it was Saturday, the pedestrian street was bustling with crowds, as busy as bees.

And it being summer, the girls on the street were wearing very cool and breezy outfits.

Eyes full of sleek arms and long legs, some even revealing slender waists.

Tsk, it’s really mouthwatering... oh no, I mean I’m really thirsty!

Zhang Jingdong had only been standing there for less than 5 minutes when he spotted two big beauties who looked to be in the 80 to 90 point range.

He couldn’t help but feel a stir: ”Activate search!”

”Search activated...”

”Target individual 1: Zhu Chen, facial attractiveness 93 points, temperament 91 points, figure 92 points, overall score 92 points.”

”Target individual 2: Li Qiao, facial attractiveness 92 points, figure 95 points, temperament 93 points, overall score 93 points.”

”Target individual 3: Lin Xue, facial attractiveness 90 points, figure 93 points, temperament 92 points, overall score 92 points.”

...

Zhang Jingdong quickly counted and found there were a total of 17 target individuals!

Looking up, he saw red dots everywhere within his field of vision.

Tsk, looks like I’m going to make a killing today!

Zhang Jingdong calmed his inner excitement and then happily headed straight for the first target individual.

However, halfway there, he suddenly spotted two female college students handing out flyers not far away!

He knew at a glance that they were college students because he had also handed out flyers here as a part-time job in his last life.

One look at their green and innocent expressions, and he could be sure he was right.

Zhang Jingdong thought for a moment and then approached the taller, and prettier girl on the left.

”Hello!”

She was initially startled.

Mainly because she had been the one greeting others and handing out flyers, often being rejected and receiving cold stares.

She didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong to come over with a smile and greet her.

She hastily responded with a smile, ”Hello... Would you like to learn about...”

Seeing her about to hand him a flyer, Zhang Jingdong interrupted, ”I wanted to ask... how much do you make per day handing out flyers here?”

Although she was a bit dazed, seeing that Zhang Jingdong also looked like a college student, she subconsciously assumed he wanted to work part-time too.

So she replied honestly, ”30.”

”Your kind of part-time job is paid daily, and you can quit anytime, right?”

”Yes, that’s right.”

Zhang Jingdong then said, ”How about this—don’t hand out flyers for today. Be my assistant for no more than 2 hours, and I’ll give each of you 100. What do you think?”

”You... sure?”

Mainly because Zhang Jingdong’s face was really too youthful, and his clothes were just like those of an on-campus college student, clearly not looking like someone who could afford to pay 200 out of the blue to hire someone.

Zhang Jingdong caught onto this and promptly pulled out his wallet, taking out a 100 bill.

”I can pay you half your wages upfront, and the other half after we’re finished, how about that?”

She blinked rapidly, hesitant, ”But... assistant... what would I have to do?”

She believed that Zhang Jingdong was indeed willing to spend money to hire someone, but she was suspicious of the nature of the work that Zhang Jingdong was offering.

She was naive, but not foolish, and had heard of social scams that lured female college students with money into doing all sorts of messy jobs.

Zhang Jingdong, after all, was coming from a student’s standpoint and instantly picked up on her doubts.

He laughed it off, ”Don’t worry, I’m just conducting a reward survey here on this street.”

”Your job is very simple, just to help me hold these bags, and later, help me operate my phone.”

”How about it, are you willing?”

Before the other party could answer, her companion tapped her arm: ”I think it’s fine.”

The other party then nodded: ”Okay then.”

”My name is Zhang Jingdong, what are your names?”

”I’m Lin Hui, and she is Feng Jiajia.”

Zhang Jingdong handed the money to Lin Hui, then pointed to the flyer in her hand: ”Take care of this, and we’ll get started right away!”

”Okay...”

Lin Hui took the money and then took the flyer from Feng Jiajia’s hand, hurried to a nearby station, and soon came back empty-handed.

At this point, Zhang Jingdong handed his mobile phone to her: ”When I’m interviewing others later, if we need to keep their contact information, you’ll use this phone to handle it, got it?”

Lin Hui nodded: ”Mhm.”

”Let’s go, move out!”

Zhang Jingdong hired Lin Hui and Feng Jiajia as assistants not only because he felt a bit sorry for them but most importantly because having them follow him would greatly improve his success rate of striking up conversations with others.

Because according to scientific statistics, the success rate of flirting with a beauty is far greater when with friends than when alone.

And when the friends are female, the success rate increases by another 30%.

Three minutes later, Zhang Jingdong found his first target, Zhu Chen.

She was about 1.75 meters tall by the looks of it, dressed fashionably, quite like a model.

She had a female companion by her side, roughly five centimeters shorter than her and a bit less attractive, but her outfit suggested she might be a model as well.

After adapting over the past two days, Zhang Jingdong no longer felt as nervous when facing these top beauties as he had at the start.

Without much hesitation, he approached and greeted them: ”Hello, may I ask if you two are models?”

Zhu Chen paused, then stopped in her tracks: ”...Yes!”

”Congratulations, Host, on successfully initiating a conversation with the target person, you are rewarded with 3000 yuan!”

”Here’s the deal, we are intern reporters from a newspaper, conducting a questionnaire survey.”

”If you are willing to answer my five questions, you can receive a free handmade bag, does that suit you?”

Zhu Chen glanced at Lin Hui and Feng Jiajia behind Zhang Jingdong, as well as the handmade bags they were carrying.

Then she nodded: ”Alright, ask your questions.”

”The Athens Olympics is in three months, which event do you think our country, Huaxia, will definitely win a gold medal in?”

Zhu Chen turned her head to look at her best friend, hesitated, and said: ”Table tennis, I guess.”

”What’s the name of your favorite book?”

”Oh... ’Dream of the Red Chamber’, but I haven’t finished it.”

”What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever dreamt about?”

This time Zhu Chen thought for a full half minute before she replied: ”Probably... once I dreamt that I could fly, and then I flew to the highest point of Mount Everest, only for a volcano to suddenly erupt!”

”That is indeed a bizarre dream... Who’s your favorite comic character?”

”Kudo Shinichi.”

”Between 7 million Huaxia Coins and scoring 700 points on the college entrance exam, if you could only choose one, which would it be?”

”700 points, because I can try to earn 7 million on my own, but as for the college entrance exam... even if I studied like mad, I probably couldn’t reach 700 points!”

At this moment, Zhang Jingdong gave Lin Hui a look, and she promptly handed over a handmade bag.

Zhang Jingdong took the bag, handing it to Zhu Chen while asking: ”May I know your surname?”

”My name is Zhu Chen.”

”Would it be possible to leave a contact information? Our newspaper will also hold a lottery among those who have participated in this survey and left their contact information, with the prize being a one-day trip to Xiangjiang!”

As Zhang Jingdong spoke, Lin Hui had already taken out his phone.

Zhu Chen saw that Zhang Jingdong appeared straightforward, different from the usual guys who hit on her.

Moreover, she found the questions he asked quite interesting, having never encountered such a survey that even included a lottery!

She nodded again: ”Okay then.”
