As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 117: Chapter 15 - A Spicy Revenge

The breakfast session ended without a hitch. My remaining task that morning was to undergo apprentice maid training alongside the maids one level above me. There was nothing special about this apprentice maid training, just sweeping and hanging out the freshly washed bed sheets.

It was all easy work and not much different from what I did in my old life. As a woman accustomed to housework, sweeping and hanging out the bed sheets were commonplace. I handled the training well, with no minor dramas like laziness or reluctance to complete the basic training.

However, a problem I hadn’t anticipated arrived as lunchtime approached. Several of the maids on duty in the kitchen were looking for me. I wasn’t sure what trouble I’d face after being summoned, and I reluctantly answered the call. Dragging my feet after sweeping the spacious Mansion and hanging out the sheets to dry on a hot day, who was already exhausting enough for an apprentice maid working half a day.

Upon arriving in the Main Mansion’s kitchen, I was greeted by a mature woman wearing a maid uniform specifically for the kitchen area. Her maid uniform featured a slightly more luxurious white apron protected by anti-dirt magic runes, a maid headband that held her hair tightly in place, and bangs neatly clipped back to keep them out of covering her eyes.

What surprised me in this kitchen was the other maids who accompanied me in the morning; they were survivors of the battle between Head Maid and Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

I don’t know what’s going on in this kitchen; it looks like they’re having a bad day with their heads down on the kitchen table.

”I-I heard someone was looking for me?” I asked, trying to hide my awkwardness after seeing the kitchen’s messy state.

”We were looking for you,” the maid in front of me replied, walking around me. Her gaze never left my body, as if assessing something.

”It’s a little too big for her body proportions, but it’s better than dirtying her uniform,” the maid continued to mutter after circling me.

”Yosshh!! Help us prepare the sandwiches or whatever it is! You made them this morning, and it’s your responsibility after Young Miss Reina got addicted to the taste. Make that lunch with us!”

My mind hadn’t fully processed this information, but a hand grabbed me from behind, dragging me into the spacious kitchen area, and in an instant, a luxurious white apron was attached to my maid uniform. It was a little too big, but it fit perfectly over my entire uniform.

”I heard interesting rumors from the maids on duty in the morning about you making a unique dish. Toast filled with vegetables, dried meat pieces, fried egg yolk, and it tasted so good that Young Miss Reina wanted to try it again.”

More or less, I know what’s going on right now. They’re looking for me to get the recipe for the sandwich I made that morning.

With a heavy sigh and a sigh of relief, I stared at the ingredients in front of me. They weren’t much different from the ones the Head Maid had brought, but there were a few extras I could use as secret seasonings.

”So this is Master Reina’s request?” I asked to make sure.

Nod...

All the maids in charge of the kitchen nodded their heads.

”It’s not just Young Miss Reina. Rather, the entire family of Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld wants to taste and eat it again. After the Duchess and Young Miss Reina told us about it, it sparked the curiosity of the other family members.”

My stomach felt like it was cramping after hearing that.

Like gossip that spreads by word of mouth, it spread too fast!

”And Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg also wants to eat it again as a main lunch.”

”Oh! Young Miss Amagi also wants to eat your handmade sandwiches again.”

One by one, pressures to make sandwiches came pouring in. As far back as I could remember this morning, I had turned down offers to work as a maid cooking in the kitchen.

But why am I still stuck in a situation that I have already rejected?

There’s only one answer I can find for all this strangeness. It’s none other than Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s intervention. She ordered the maids in the kitchen to force me to make lunch.

I’m a little mad about this, so I’m going to make spicy sandwiches for their lunch!

”I already said I refused to work in the kitchen as a maid in charge of cooking. But this is what happened. Ugh, it can’t be helped... I have to fulfill Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s orders, huh?” With a low murmur, I quickly walked towards the kitchen.

Without a word, I quickly grabbed a bowl of chilies that happened to be in the kitchen and four chicken eggs. Without hesitation, I cut the chilies into small pieces and placed them in a glass jar. The chicken eggs I grabbed immediately dropped into a pot of boiling water.

Plloopppp...

Plloopppp...

Plloopppp...

Plloopppp...

”W-Wait... that’s the boiled water we’re going to use for drinking.”

”There’s no time to prepare your drinking water. Pay close attention to what I’m doing!” I replied quickly, glaring at them in annoyance.

Not far from me, a hot piece of toast lay helpless. I quickly grabbed it without washing my hands after hanging out the bed sheets to dry.

Pyyuuurr...

My hand suddenly went into a basin of water that felt cold.

”Little maid, I know you like to cook to serve Young Miss Reina. But please take care of the cleanliness of your hands first before cooking.”

Despite her slight coercion, my hand was trapped in the basin of water used for washing hands. My unbearable annoyance almost exploded, overflowing at this unhygienic cooking process, a complete failure, because the maids working in the kitchen were so professional at cooking.

Tsk tsk...

Tsk tsk...

I held back my annoyance, with the veins in my temples tightening. I have to be more patient in controlling my momentary emotions. Making a spicy sandwich had become a suitable revenge for this forced will.

”I forgot,” I said as a classic excuse.

”You’ll be cooking for Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s family. Make sure you don’t give them a stomach ache from getting your hands dirty while cooking!” she said with a light reprimand.

”Don’t worry, they’ll have a stomach ache after experiencing the pleasure of eating a spicy sandwich.”

”W-What does that mean? Don’t do anything weird with our reputation.”

”Just say... I made it specially. A delicious spicy sandwich with the risk of a torturous stomach ache. Let’s see how well the Duke family can handle the addictive, mouth-torturing spiciness.”

For some reason, my emotions feel unstable today. Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s constant coercive behavior is definitely the trigger for my uncontrollable emotions.

Or maybe I’m just too tired to understand.

With my mental state exhausted and shaken, I cooked with the thought of destroying the stomachs of those who ate my handmade sandwiches. Grabbing a knife nearby, I quickly cut the ingredients into small pieces to separate the regular and spicy sandwich portions.

Incidentally, there are a few ingredients I can use to make spicy mayonnaise.

Cttaasshh!!

Cttaassshh!!

My hand movements became more fluid when holding the knife. Perhaps it was a result of my intensive training or my frustration at wanting to get this cooking session over with.

”H-Hey! Be careful when using a knife! Let us help and learn too!” said one of the maids who had been observing me.

Ignoring those words, I quickly took four hard-boiled chicken eggs and cracked them open. I placed them in a glass jar filled with finely chopped chili peppers, added a glass of oil, half a glass of the boiling water I had used to boil the eggs, lime juice, salt, and sugar.

All the ingredients were mixed into the glass bottle that I was holding, making everyone amazed by the mixture of food ingredients in the glass bottle.

”Wind Pool...” By casting a wind spell that swirled inside the bottom of a glass bottle, I created a blender without sharp blades in a glass bottle.

Swiirrrrlll...

Swwiirrlll...

The shaking was a little more intense than I expected, and the mixture of ingredients in the glass bottle successfully expanded into a mayonnaise-like consistency. It was a pale yellow color, which matched the mayonnaise made from hard-boiled eggs.

”W-What are you making?” asked one of the maids, curious about the glass bottle in my hand.

The vortex inside the glass bottle stopped after the mayonnaise blob touched the tip of the glass bottle.

”Just making some extra seasoning for fun,” I said with an innocent smile.

I wouldn’t say this is the secret spice that will give Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s family a stomach ache. The delicious, addictive, and torturous spiciness will be their first memorable experience.

With that negative thought in mind, I quickly assembled the ingredients in front of me into a sandwich and instructed the kitchen maids on how to make it properly. The sequence wasn’t much different from the morning sandwich, but this time it included a secret, spicy, and addictive seasoning.

My hands smeared mayonnaise sauce onto the spicy sandwich portion and hoped to get a victim who was curious about the spicy taste.

”I-I don’t know what happened. That spicy sandwich looks dangerous.”

”No... no... this is a safe sandwich. I made sure the level of spiciness would suit the palate of people who are not used to eating spicy food.”

”I don’t know what to say, Little Maid. Make sure you try it first before serving that spicy sandwich to the Duke’s family.”

”No need, they’ll love it,” I replied with a wide smile and imagined the suffering of the people eating it before my eyes.
