As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 111: Chapter 9 - Menace Glare By Accident

My knife throw hit thin threads scattered across the ground.

The thin threads that had triggered the deadly, hidden trap were now fully activated.

From this distance, my knife throw was incredibly accurate and quite terrifying. I didn’t know if Liliana had this hidden talent or I was actually a master of accurate throwing ”something”.

As a housewife, I often throw things to certain places, like dirty clothes into the washing machine, sandals at my naughty children, and other things I do to shorten the time spent on housework.

But for the talent of throwing knives and hitting the target accurately, I just realized it.

Whether it was Liliana’s hidden talent or not, I could use this terrifying talent to have some fun.

Right above Master Amagi’s head, as she ran from the Head Maid’s pursuit, a rain of arrows from a hidden trap coming to her. As a good maid, I should have been worried for Master Amagi’s safety. The rain of arrows was indeed safe, with their tips wrapped in cloth, and some of them were as flexible arrowhead like a rubber.

”Is it just me, or is this intensive training too safe compared to my intensive training sessions?” I muttered silently.

This unfairness really pierces my heart. I’m facing real arrows, while Master Reina and Master Amagi are facing fake ones. There’s no risk of pain or injury in their training, which makes me so envious.

But it can’t be helped; I’m just an apprentice maid working in a noble’s residence. My life is comfortable enough in a safe and comfortable residence, there is no fear of not eating the next day or looking for a safe place to sleep.

All I need to do is repay that gratitude by helping my two Masters, serving them wholeheartedly, and ensuring their future is free from the fate of Villainess.

Master Amagi saw the rain of arrows coming her way. Her face was filled with panic, but her lips were already moving as she chanted a magic spell. A shield umbrella formed around her body, which she used to block the rain of arrows.

Quite effective considering it was an arrow attack coming from one side.

A single umbrella shield was enough to avoid the surprise attack.

Prraaassshh!!

Prraaassshh!!

Prraaassshh!!

The umbrella shield that Master Amagi cast saved her from the one-way trap, leaving the Head Maid unprotected by the magic shield.

Blliiinnkk...

Blliiinnkk...

My eyes blinked as I witnessed something that couldn’t possibly happen in the real world. The Head Maid avoided the rain of arrows with her swift dodging movements, so fast that I could see afterimages of her standing at various points.

Besides Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, whom I have to be wary of, it turns out there is still the Head Maid with her myriad of terrifying abilities.

”Ahahaha... I forgot that this novel world has such mysterious abilities.”

”Trying to use logic in a world of magic without logic, how stupid of me.”

I tried to accept this event as a form of fantasy escape. Seeing someone move so fast that they leave behind a shadow is a common occurrence in this novel’s world. I couldn’t forget it.

Swwiinnggg...

Swwiinnggg...

The Duchess threw a knife at me wordlessly, seemingly enjoying this intense training moment more than I was. Surprising someone is fun, especially when it comes to a target who isn’t easily injured.

Hey, wait a minute...

Why do I feel like I’m finding excuses about Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, who can’t help herself when training me?

Am I that good to be trained without limiting the power of Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld?

No... No... I’m still an amateur who needs normal guidance and training without the risk of serious injury.

A gold coin salary wouldn’t be much fun if it was used up for medical treatment, right?

That’s why I’m going to have fun with this accumulated stress.

Well, throwing knives at the Head Maid is actually fun! ℴ

Swwwooossshhh!!

Swwooossshhh!!

With a swift throw targeting the Head Maid, the knives in my hands flew through the air. Much faster than before, thanks to my pent-up desire for doing something fun and the strengthening magic of Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg.

My knife throw moved swiftly through the Head Maid’s body, past the phantom body created by her quick dodging movements, and hit Master Amagi’s shield umbrella that was blocking the rain of arrows.

Several arrows hit her shield without leaving any damage; that’s why Master Amagi became confident facing my knife throw from behind.

Swwooonnggg...

Bllttaaakkk!!

My knife throw hit the left side of Master Amagi’s umbrella shield, triggering a change in the direction of my knife’s rotation, which moved to the Head Maid beside Master Amagi.

Boonnkkk!!

”Ouch!!” A small shriek was heard from the Head Maid, echoing in my ears as I stood with Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

”...” There was a moment of silence after my knife throw was reflected and hit the Head Maid’s head.

With that silence, the rain of arrows targeting Master Amagi stopped. The Head Maid felt her head where my knife had hit her, then slowly looked up at me.

Kiirrraaa...

Kiiirrraaa...

Our eyes met. Surprisingly, the Head Maid smiled at me, then the smile turned into a sinister grin as her gaze landed on Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

I didn’t do anything to make the Head Maid angry, did I?

Even my hands were shaking after seeing her terrifying grin.

Glooommm...

Glooommm...

The Duchess, standing beside me, glared back at the Head Maid with a smirk. They stared at each other like wild animals seeking to claim their territory.

I have a feeling that this will be a battle between the Duchess and the Head Maid, who has a equal sword skills.

Swiippp...

Swiippp...

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg waving her hand at me. It was like a rescue boat arriving after the ship had sunk. Following my survival instincts, I followed the Marchioness’s instructions to quietly retreat to her side.

”Excuse me for a moment, Duchess...” I said as I bowed before going to the Marchioness’s side.

With slow and steady steps back, I managed to stand beside Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg.

The Head Maid and Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld were still staring at each other.

”...”

”...”

”...”

The silence between their gazes lasted for quite a while, until the Head Maid lifted her maid skirt up to retrieve some throwing knives stored in her garter belt.

At first glance, it was a sexy move and made me feel embarrassed as a maid.

Besides her graceful posture, the Head Maid looked like a dangerous, loyal maid who would do anything to please her Master. Including keeping throwing knives in her sexy garter belt. With my small frame, innocent face, and cute demeanor, wearing a garter belt filled with throwing knives would look odd.

My childhood was spent being an apprentice maid, not an assassin like a Head Maid.

Uhm, calling her an assassin is too hurtful.

I would call her a maid who cleans up stubborn trash for her Master, even though that sounds like ”trash killing”.

The Head Maid threw the knife in her hand towards Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld. Her hand gesture looked elegant, as if she were honored the Duchess, but there was a hidden knife-throw behind it.

BAASSSHHH!!

BOOOSSHH!!

”Eh?” I felt like I was seeing something that was impossible in the real world.

I even shocked for a few seconds before asking Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg.

”M-Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg... what I’m seeing is considered high-level magic, right?” I asked after watching the Head Maid’s knife throw hurtle toward the Duchess with a supersonic, shard-like sound in the air.

I’ve heard that jet planes traveling faster than the speed of sound create sonic booms in the air. It’s like an object moving faster than the speed of sound, so the sound fragments become sonic booms.

I don’t know what the actual process is, but that’s what’s happening right now.

The Head Maid’s knife passed Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s cheek, leaving a thin scratch that drew blood.

”Yes, a high-level magic that only a few people can do. Besides using strengthening magic without them realizing it, there must be hand movements that are used to throwing objects that fast.”

”You already have a talent for knife throwing, Liliana.”

”If honed further, it would be on par with the maid that Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld was proud of.”

The Marchioness’s response made me smile wryly. She felt no concern about this. Two people glaring daggers at each other were searching for an opening to clash right before her eyes. But she chose to relax and write something in my handwritten magic book.

”S-Should I be happy about that?” I asked, while looking at Master Amagi, who had entered the back of the Main Mansion.

”Feeling happy... About your knife-throwing talent? You can happy about it, especially with long-range throws that hit the target perfectly. Amagi was even surprised by your accurate knife throw, you know...”

”...” I just kept quiet and smiled, remembering my throwing knife that hit Master Amagi’s umbrella shield spell.

If only my knife throw hadn’t bounced off the Head Maid’s head, perhaps this kind of incident wouldn’t have happened.

Luckily, the throwing knife given by the Duchess was safe enough, with its sharp blade covered by a thick cloth, and the throwing knife that hit the Head Maid’s head was the handle part.

”If we’re lucky today, we’ll see a battle between the two greatest female swordmaster in the Kingdom of Belfast has ever have, Liliana.”

”The Duchess and her beloved maid often caused trouble while attending the Royal Belfast Academy. Their sword skills weren’t so bad that the Military General must intervened to discipline them. So funny, right?”

Ugh, I don’t know what happened in the past...

But, it’s sounds bad enough until a Military General must steps in to solve their problems.
