As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 113: Chapter 11 - Taking Care With Affection

Ignoring what was happening around me, I continued walking forward, crossing the dangerous line of Head Maid’s rapid-fire knife throws. Her knives weren’t numerous, but their speed could injure anyone.

One bad luck, it would hurt me...

As a maid who didn’t care about my own safety, I remained calm and crossed the dangerous death line without being hit by the knife.

My actions could be considered quite reckless. It was too dangerous to do so. However, there was no other choice but to carry Master Reina and pick-up Master Amagi personally. The small quarrel between the Head Maid and Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld could be used as a moment of rest for us.

After my two Masters underwent rigorous, exhausting training, I offered them breakfast as a rest time.

They still had the energy to argue about something unnecessary, but I prevented that with the invitation to breakfast. My goal at the moment was to get Master Reina off my princess carry style, find the chair she frequently used, and make sure not to make a fight with Master Amagi, who was busy hugging my right arm tightly.

Crossing the line of death involving fast knife throws was already difficult; now I had to serve my two Masters without the Head Maid’s help. Keeping her busy fighting with Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld seemed like a sensible choice.

”Please wait a moment, Master Reina...”

”Master Amagi should also sit quietly. Don’t do anything that will make me give up on my plans to have a breakfast together, okay?” I said, giving my two Masters a small warning.

Master Reina and Master Amagi looked at each other before nodding their heads in a cryptic answer.

”Hmph! I’ll definitely be fine without causing any trouble!” Master Reina replied, sitting quietly like a mature noble.

Master Amagi was waiting for me to pull out a chair for her to sit on; she was too close to Master Reina, and I hoped nothing else would happen between the two of them.

”Do I look like a troublemaking girl like Reina, Liliana?” Master Amagi asked, smiling at me.

”W-What do you mean by that, Amagi?!!” Master Reina replied, feeling offended by Master Amagi’s words.

”It’s nothing; I was just asking Liliana.”

”Your questions make me feel uncomfortable. Please stop asking stupid questions. I feel sorry for Liliana, who has to answer your stupid questions all the time.”

”Ehh? That’s not a stupid question, though... I’m just making sure I look much better in Liliana’s eyes.”

”Huh?!! Did you want to pick a fight with me, Amagi?” Master Reina stared at Master Amagi with a sharp glare.

Their conversation sounded like the petty arguments that kids their age often had. It seemed like a normal, frequent occurrence in my old life.

I didn’t want to see them bickering like this. That’s why I quickly pulled out the chair next to Master Reina for Master Amagi to sit in. I didn’t forget to pinch the cheeks of Master Reina and Master Amagi, who were always bickering over small matters.

Nyyuuuutttt...

Nyyyuuuttt...

”A-Awww!! It hurts, Liliana! Pinch my cheeks lovingly...” Master Reina whined with her impossible request.

”Ehehe~ Liliana pinched my cheek because I was wrong, right? Should I think of this as Liliana’s punishment and affection for me?” said Master Amagi, who was sounds so pleased with this light punishment.

Their cheeks both felt cold, even though they had been soaking in warm water before. Their cheeks felt cold and damp with a thin layer of sweat. The effects of their intensive training and their morning running route, which was filled with deadly traps, had made them accustomed to Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s training.

The morning run, which should have left their bodies drenched in sweat, now seemed ordinary, with no panting or excessive sweat. A far different from their first day of training, which had been saturated with sweat after failing at the same place and get a lot trap.

My pinch on their cheek wasn’t too hard, just enough to make them both peaceful for a moment.

Syyuuuttt...

Syyuuuttt...

Releasing my soft pinch, which left a red mark on their cheeks, I quickly grabbed the handkerchief lying on the breakfast cart. That should have been the Head Maid’s primary duty to take care Master Reina and Master amagi after training, but since she was busy fighting with Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld in the background, I took over her duty.

With a clean, white handkerchief, I wiped Master Amagi’s sweaty forehead, down to her cheek that I had just pinched, and down further until I wiped her sweaty neck.

Swwuuuppp...

Swuuupppp...

”Did today’s intensive training feel good, Master Amagi?” I asked as I wiped the sweat off her neck.

”Huum~ How should I answer that? I think it’s too ordinary. It’s not as interesting as reading magic books with Liliana. I’d rather spend time reading magic books and practicing magic with Liliana. But the training wasn’t bad enough. I was happy because I got a surprise from Liliana, too,” replied Master Amagi, which made me feel a little bit guilty.

The order I had previously carried out came from Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld. Throwing the knife at Master Amagi had undoubtedly surprised her, but compared to Master Reina, who was sprinting ahead, she hadn’t felt the pleasant surprise from my knife throw.

”I’ll accompany Master Amagi to read magic books in the library once I get some free time. I think it’ll be a little difficult since my respected Duchess is having fun with the Head Maid. Worst-case scenario... I’ll be with Master Reina all day.”

”That’s not the answer I wanted, Liliana! But it can’t be helped... The situation is so urgent at the moment.”

Master Amagi seemed to understand my situation well. She was too calm, like a little girl who acted too mature. Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg’s upbringing seemed to have been spot-on in developing her character.

On the other hand, Master Reina bit her lip after seeing me serving Master Amagi. She tried to hold back her words, sitting quietly like a mature noblewoman. She was desperately trying not to interrupt my conversation with Master Amagi.

After Master Amagi’s sweat was wiped clean, I quickly took a new handkerchief to serve Master Reina.

Srruuuttt...

Srrruuuuttt...

Before I could serve Master Reina, my right arm was poked by a maids who hiding behind Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg protection. They seemed terrified by the fight unfolding before their eyes, yet felt guilty for neglecting their primary duties.

”M-May we help serve breakfast to Young Miss Reina and the Duchess’s honorable guests?” whispered a maid who poked my arm.

”That’s fine, just make sure to do it carefully.”

”Yes, of course! It’s much better than feeling scared and helpless like a stupid maid!” she replied, signaling the other maids to help me.

With that answer, several maids who had find protection behind Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg go to work. Those who were supposed to be tending the flowers in the front garden of the Duke Main Mansion were forced to take other jobs. The front yard, which should have been well-maintained, was now a mess after the fight between the Head Maid and the Duchess escalated.

The rapid exchange of knife throws was replaced by close-range physical blows; they were shouting and seemed to be enjoying their little fight.

”You have some guts to fight a Duchess, Mell!”

”It’s just a useless and easy-to-get noble title. You only married a Duke to become a Duchess, right?!!”

”Hey! It’s not that easy, stupid Mell!”

”No! It is easy, my foolish and honorable Duchess!”

Their shouts sounded so vulgar.

A little more polite than the vulgar taunts of my old life, though. But they still sounded vulgar in this novel’s world.

Ignoring the Head Maid and Duchess’s hilariously hateful remarks, I quickly approached Master Reina, who looked somewhat embarrassed. She covered her face with both hands after hearing her mother’s vulgar taunts slip out of her mouth.

Swwuuuttt...

Swwuuuttt...

I could understand Master Reina’s embarrassment after witnessing her mother’s behavior. Of course, I would have felt the same way as Master Reina. Seeing my own mother mocking someone with vulgar words. Besides the embarrassment, I also wanted to leave the scene immediately.

Swwuuuttt...

Swwuuuttt...

With great affection and care, I wiped the sweat from Master Reina’s forehead. This incident could be an important lesson for Master Reina about maintaining emotional composure and choosing her words wisely when mocking someone.

”L-Liliana... my mother is too embarrassing,” Master Reina muttered after feeling the touch of my handkerchief cleaning her forehead.

”I’ve known that for a long time... please don’t be like your mother in the future, Master Reina. A strong noble is a noble who remains calm and insults with unbeatable facts. It’s much more elegant to lower someone’s self-esteem than vulgar taunts like this, right?” I replied while caressing Master Reina’s cheek, pulling away the hand that was covering her beautiful face that was blushing.

Blluuusshh...

”U-Uuuhh... I don’t know what else to say about this.”

Master Reina’s face was flushed red like a ripe tomato. Her red hair even seemed to blend in, covering her blushing face.

This was indeed a good opportunity to teach Master Reina the manners of a noblewoman, with the real example was the actions of her own birth mother.

Caress...

Caress...

I stroked Master Reina’s lips to calm her down. Seeing this cute, vulnerable side of her made me smile.

”I too am speechless after seeing the esteemed Duchess I serve utter such vulgar words—” I said incompletely.

”At least, in the future... Master Reina won’t do something so embarrassing like that, right?” I continued, wiping her lips as they began to bite my fingertips.

”Hmm~ I don’t know... Will I get punished by Liliana if I say something so vulgar?” Master Reina replied, making me break out in a cold sweat in response to her answer.

”Of course! And I will be mad too,” I replied.

”Then... I won’t do it so that our relationship won’t be like theirs,” Master Reina replied while glancing at the Head Maid and her mother, who were still fighting in the background.

”Yes, I hope our relationship won’t be like theirs in the future, Master Reina.”
