As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 116: Chapter 14 - Sweet Threatening... Still Work, Huh?

Fighting back the feeling of embarrassment that spread across my face, I tried to eat my sandwich calmly. Ignoring Master Reina’s gaze, which continued to stare at me, and Master Amagi’s, who for some reason was staring at me too, with her cheeks puffed out cutely.

The sandwich I was eating had Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg’s bite mark on the edge. If I were a male protagonist, so naive and clueless about romance, this could be considered an indirect kiss to make me more embarrassed. It’s commonly used in drink-sharing plots where lips touch, but that indirect kissing pattern doesn’t apply to me.

After all, I’m just an apprentice maid who happens to be assigned to serve guests visiting the Duke’s residence. Providing a dish or two for guests to sample is already a sufficient courtesy.

Krreessshh...

Krreesshh...

The toast I ate wasn’t too dry, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was perfect as a sandwich.

”Liliana, can I have a taste too?” asked Master Reina, who had somehow disappeared from her chair.

She suddenly appeared beside me with sparkling eyes; her red eyes, which had been staring intently at me, now seemed curious about the sandwich I was eating.

It didn’t feel so bad to share it, but it still felt embarrassing to give it to the Master I served.

”You look like... Uh, really enjoying your handmade... so called sandwich. I’m curious about its taste. Please feed me like you did with the fruit feeding long time ago.”

”...” I almost forgot to swallow the sandwich in my mouth after hearing Master Reina’s order.

My face, flushed pink and still feeling embarrassed by Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg’s compliment, struggled to process Master Reina’s sudden command. I nearly dropped the sandwich in my hand, but quickly recovered after noticing Master Amagi’s curious gaze.

”Feeding a fruit? Long time ago? Somehow... it makes me feel uncomfortable,” Master Amagi said while looking at me, bite her lips.

”That’s none of your business, Amagi. It’s up to Master and her maid to strengthen our relationship,” Master Reina replied, leaning toward me. She had the nerve to do such a disrespectful thing in front of her mother.

For a moment, I stared at the Duchess; she still had her eyes closed and was enjoying the piece of sandwich in her mouth, so that Master Reina’s impolite actions were simply ignored.

”Master Reina, that only applies to patients who have just been in an accident or other disaster with serious injuries. At that time, you said... you would take responsibility for caring for my injuries, right? So I am doing that,” I said, while feeling a bad omens about Master Reina, who was so excited beside me.

Kiiirrraaa...

Kiiirrrraaaa...

”I didn’t hear that... What did you say, Liliana?” Master Reina replied with an innocent smile.

Ugh, Head Maid...

She just said the words the Head Maid used earlier, right?

For such an unimportant matter, why did Master Reina mastering it so quickly?

The Head Maid had just indirectly taught Master Reina something rude, which would indirectly impact her future as a headstrong Villainess.

I’m already used to her nature, but if her attitude improves that quickly, I’ll also have trouble straightening out her nature as a graceful and gentle noble girl.

”I said... it can only be done if you or I become the patient, Master Reina.”

”Mouth-to-mouth feeding using a sandwich will be difficult...”

”Just look at how much my sandwich filling is. My mouth is already full with just one bite. And to do mouth-to-mouth feeding is... Difficult.”

I had to work hard to change Master Reina’s mind about mouth-to-mouth feeding. Especially on this bright morning with so many witnesses. Doing such a shameful thing would only lead to awkwardness and rumors within the maids’ social circle.

I immediately put the sandwich in my hand into Master Reina’s mouth.

Chummpp!!

”This is all I can do. Mouth-to-mouth feeding is only valid for sick patient!” I declared, finalizing my decision, refusing Master Reina’s order.

Choommmp!!

My hand shoved the sandwich into Master Reina’s small mouth. I knew it was rude and could result in punishment from the Head Maid. But it seemed to be fine as long as the Head Maid was distracted by the pleasure of my handmade sandwich in her mouth.

Several of the maids around me stared at me wide-eyed. It was probably the first time they’d seen Liliana so intimate with Master Reina. Stuffing my sandwich into her mouth probably felt disgusting to Master Reina. I didn’t dare look her in the eye, hoping everything would turn out okay.

Kreeeesshhh...

Krreessshhh...

The crunching sound of Master Reina’s toast filled my ears. A moan of pleasure escaped Master Reina’s lips, making me curious to peek at her face.

Looking up at her slowly, I saw a wide smile on her cheeks and her red eyes sparkling.

Kiirrraaa...

Kiirrraaa...

”Liliana! This is so delicious! You should be one of the maids who cooks—”

”No, thank you for the offer. But I refuse,” I said before Master Reina could finish her sentence.

The demand to be a maid who cooks in the kitchen always comes to me.

Is my cooking really that delicious?

I felt my cooking was mediocre, nothing to be proud of. It would be embarrassing if my food was served to the noble families of the Kingdom of Belfast.

”Eh? But this is so delicious!”

”AND ONE BITE ISN’T ENOUGH FOR ME!” Master Reina protested, looking overly excited after tasting my sandwich.

I’d seen Master Reina’s emotional outbursts like this before. Deep in Liliana’s repressed memories, Master Reina had difficulty controlling her emotions when she was having fun. Perhaps it was a genetic condition inherited from her mother, considering she was so adept at having fun with the Head Maid that she even destroyed the front garden of the Duke’s Main Mansion.

”I know. But there’s no other food left,” I replied, staring at the food trolley carrying breakfast.

The food trolley was already empty enough to make three sandwiches. Furthermore, I had made sure not to make any more sandwiches by putting the leftovers in mine. That’s why my sandwiches were much more filling than the ones I served to the Head Maid and Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

Frankly, my sandwich contained leftovers that felt wasteful to throw away. So I made a large sandwich for myself. For breakfast, it would make me full until lunchtime.

Slluusshh...

Slluusshh...

”Liliana, can I have a taste too?” a soft voice sounded in my right ear.

Suddenly, it made me turn to the right and see Master Amagi frowning beside me.

”M-Master Amagi?!!” I almost jumped in my chair after seeing Master Amagi’s face so close to mine.

”I want to try it too. My mother and Reina have already tasted it. Now it’s my turn!” Master Amagi said with a serious look in her eyes.

I just made a sandwich with my own hands, and somehow it became a food that everyone wanted to try.

Luckily, I made it a little too big this time, so I still had some leftovers to eat for my main breakfast.

”O-Of course, Master Amagi...” in an awkward tone, I answered her.

Her face was so close to mine that I could feel her warm breath on my face.

I immediately give the sandwich in my hand at Master Amagi, but she stared at it with blank eyes.

”Bite first, Liliana.”

”I don’t want to feel Reina’s bite marks,” Master Amagi said, which sounded like an order to me.

Following that order, I bit Master Reina’s bite mark, making sure the bite mark was covered by my bite mark.

Kreeeessshhh...

Kreeeessshhh...

The hard toast was starting to feel soft. I took a large bite out of my sandwich to cover Master Reina’s bite mark. It was a strange request, and I could only comply as an obedient apprentice maid to her Master.

After making sure that Master Reina’s bite had replaced my bite mark, Master Amagi opened her mouth to taste my handmade sandwich.

Honestly, this sandwich doesn’t have a particularly appealing flavor. Just because it’s so rare, it’s a food that attracts everyone’s attention. I even held the sandwich with both hands, a truly unbecoming manner of eating.

Krrreessshhh...

Krreesshhhh...

With small bites tracing my bite marks, Master Amagi seemed to be enjoying it. She even bit into it with such slow movements that my sandwich was half gone.

Again, I get half a sandwich as leftover.

If I eat half of this sandwich, it’s the same as eating a normal-sized sandwich beforehand.

Ugh, what kind of bad luck is this that I’m feeling?

Even though I had felt good fortune with my gold coin savings that I wanted to spend it on buying something.

”How greedy... Do you still consider yourself a noble lady, Amagi?” The sharp question came from Master Reina.

She stared at Master Amagi with a look in her eyes that deemed her actions despicable. Unbecoming of a noble lady, even though she had done the same thing before.

They’re like two dogs constantly fighting with glass in the middle.

Just bluffing, no physical attacks.

It was much better than what Head Maid and Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld had done before.

”I’m glad you both liked my handmade sandwiches...”

”However, it looks like this will be my last handmade sandwich if you two fight over this,” I said with a wide, stiff smile, as if forced to give them both a warning message.

It wasn’t just any message from me, but an ultimatum not to fight if they still wanted to taste my handmade sandwich again.

”I-I understand, Liliana. Please forgive my bad behavior,” Master Reina said while lowering her head.

”I-I’m sorry too, Liliana, Reina,” Master Amagi said after swallowing my sandwich.

Threats like this still work, huh?

I’m grateful...
