I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 648: Chapter 78: 2011

The first round of the King’s Cup has ended.

Real Madrid secured a massive 8-0 victory over Levante.

In this match, both Chen Zhong and Cristiano Ronaldo scored hat-tricks, while Kaka and substitute Di Maria each netted a goal.

After the match, Cristiano Ronaldo appeared very happy because he almost couldn’t play this match due to a cold.

This match took place at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, and their resounding victory thrilled the fans present.

Just 2 minutes into the game, Cristiano Ronaldo received a pass from a teammate, drifted wide, and then passed the ball to Chen Zhong, who was making a forward run in the center. Under tight marking from the opponents, Chen Zhong headed the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal.

In the 6th minute of the match, Chen Zhong seized the ball from Levante, passed it to Kaka, who broke into the right side of the penalty area, feinted past Torres, and shot powerfully from a tight angle into the goal from 8 yards out.

Two goals in 6 minutes left the Real Madrid fans in the stands ecstatic.

But Real Madrid’s goal frenzy didn’t end there. In the 11th minute of the match, Chen Zhong once again intercepted the ball, sparking a counterattack.

The ball ended up at Cristiano Ronaldo’s feet, and the Portuguese, after skillfully dodging Munua, broke into the small penalty area and shot calmly into the net from 10 yards out.

3-0

This incident angered Munua, as he believed that Chen Zhong’s interception might have involved a foul.

”Wasn’t that a foul? Are you sure?”

”It’s as if he was trying to knock my teammate out!”

Munua complained to the referee, as he had clearly seen Chen Zhong knocking his teammate flying, even sliding a bit on the pitch.

This, and you’re telling me it’s not a foul?

The subsequent game completely fell under Real Madrid’s control, and Levante could only strengthen their ”physical confrontation,” leading Real Madrid to win two free-kick opportunities.

Both were taken by Cristiano Ronaldo.

On both free-kicks, the Portuguese opted to shoot directly at goal; unfortunately, one hit the wall, and the other struck the crossbar.

The Real Madrid fans in the stands also expressed regret over this.

In the 19th minute, Real Madrid received their first yellow card, contributed by Albiol.

Near the edge of the penalty area, he committed a tactical foul to stop Levante’s most threatening attack, and the referee warned him with a yellow card.

By the 27th minute, Real Madrid nearly breached the opponent’s goal again, as Chen Zhong delivered a precise through-ball to the onside Cristiano Ronaldo. Unfortunately, the Portuguese’s one-on-one shot from 10 yards out was blocked by Munua.

The ball changed direction, grazing the right post.

In the 30th minute, Chen Zhong, after taking possession, faced Levante’s defenders and passed the ball to Kaka, who dribbled past four players, eliciting cheers from the fans in the stands.

He broke into the large box, but his shot from the edge missed the top left corner.

Real Madrid’s relentless attacks left Levante scrambling, and in the 35th minute, Real Madrid scored their fourth goal of the match.

Chen Zhong, after taking possession, faced the press from Levante and delivered a calm through-ball.

This pass was quick, just enough to bypass Levante’s interception; upon receiving the ball, Cristiano Ronaldo feinted past the goalkeeper and pushed the ball into the open net.

The Portuguese completed a brace.

After scoring this goal, he celebrated wildly, showing off his muscles in front of the goalkeeper.

As time ticked away, Levante seemed to shift their focus to not losing too embarrassingly.

The team parked the bus in front of the goal, but Real Madrid still managed to score another brilliant goal at the end of the match.

Again, it was an attack initiated by Chen Zhong.

After taking possession, he gestured forward with his hand.

Marcelo made a forward run down the flank, and Chen Zhong skillfully sent the ball to Marcelo’s feet. After receiving the ball, Marcelo delivered a precise cross to Cristiano Ronaldo, who was in the small box and pushed the ball into the net.

5-0

The Portuguese completed his hat-trick in the first half.

Many Real Madrid fans in the stands chanted the Portuguese’s name, as his goal-scoring spree this season left a lasting impression on them.

Hearing the fans’ chants, Florentino, watching the match live, wasn’t very pleased. His gaze shifted to Mourinho on the sidelines and then onto Chen Zhong on the pitch, seemingly anticipating something.

The second half continued.

Real Madrid firmly controlled the rhythm, and after Chen Zhong dribbled past several players in the middle, he passed the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo, whose shot in the box was blocked by the goalkeeper.

Levante desperately wanted to counterattack, but Real Madrid controlled the game’s pace, making their counterattacks feeble.

Moreover, only ten minutes into the second half, they already had four players warned by the main referee.

Faced with Real Madrid’s relentless assault, they could only repeatedly use fouls to interrupt Real Madrid’s rhythm.
